- Great White with Jani Lane on vocals, performing 'Rock Me' at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, Portugal on November 6, 2010. Sorry this got cut off in the middle of the song. I ran out of battery in my camera.
- Hudba
Had a much better voice than most of us realized. Damn good singer.
The day he left us was truly a sad day.
Jani Lane is amazing ...
This is proof positive how talented Jani was. His voice isn’t in the best shape I’ve seen it but he still pulled it off like a pro
Yes indeed, Jani was awesome !!!
Perfect pitch every time
@@woozysooziecocopuff7951 The only time I ever heard Jani sing when he was simply to broken to go on was his last tour with Warrant. The band new that Jani coil not even brush his teeth without a drink yet they took him on tour stood him up in front of huge crowds when he didn't know what he was doing or where he was and let people film it.
It honestly breaks my heart. In my day people were not even allowed to film or take Pictures. Why anyone would want to watch such a beautiful talented Man hit his public bottom is beyond what I can even get my head around.......

He was such a great singer!!!
Jani was awesome, RIP brother, see you at the wishing well.
Jani much love and respect. And Great White was such an incredible band , love all their music
Miss Jani. He was just an amazing person. Sure, he had his issues, and yes, he drank a lot and sometimes his voice was messed up, but he was a TRUE Rock Star. And a very kind, sweet, smart, and funny person. Anyone who disses him is an ass. If you didn't know the man PERSONALLY (and I did) then shut the fuck up. He had his demons and it breaks my heart daily that he didn't defeat them. Rest In Peace Jani. THANK YOU for the music and all the good times (especially in Iowa, playing Sex Trivia while discussing oj simpson. That was funny as hell)
I remember seeing him on celebrity fit club, most people on that show where having fun or just trying to lose a little weight, but when Jani spoke to the host you could see the pain in the dudes eyes, really wish he could have lived and made more killer music
What a legend Jani Lane was !!!
Damn man, jani did a pretty damn good job doing this song.. really good job man..
His talent was so underestimated!!! Jani could do it all!!!
One of the best vocalists. Always in awe with Jani.
Mark Kendall is so extremely underrated ❤️
He Crushes !!
I don't care what anybody says about Jani, he wrote some great songs and was a very good singer.
Great performance! Loved him so much ❤
Love Mark Kendal's playing--flawless, seamless, flowing, I played in a metal band in my youth and always enjoyed the style he plays
Loved Jani. He had heart and loved Music. Let's don't judge. And please don't judge me.
Why not? You're spot on with Jani.... a much better singer and songwriter than people gave him credit for. Even he hated cherry pie for the fluff that it was, but he was too hard on himself and I wonder if it eventually killed him?
Amazing talent!.... one of the greatest rock singers of the era!
I remember my first rock song. I was 3 yrs old dad had just bought a brand new 56 Pontiac hardtop and on the way home from the dealership I heard a song called scenic cruise while by myself in the back seat. That was 65 years ago. I’ve heard it all and today my favorite band is still great white. In this one song from 1987 covers all facets of rock and roll in a easy listening yet hard driving, blues and even gospel sort of way. This live version with this young man singing is damn near as great as I have heard it. Jack Russell is the natural choice of course but the impact is just as real. House of broken love and the others mop the floor with rock at it’s very essence. Now days the whole thing is upside down with no place left do go except back. I really believe that you have great white as the best band of all time, underrated? Why? Because sometimes genius is just overlooked by the market. Rock me and house of broken love both begin with a guitar intro right from the gate that purely knocks the song out of the ball park. Accenting it all the harmonica and a steady clear percussion and bass. Then when you think it can’t get any better Jack Russell opens his air way and breaks a sound barrier of vocals that you can’t believe. Robert plant is envious of Jack Russell in his own words. My point to all of this is as I stated at the get go great white with its original members has been the greatest rock band of all time and you can take it from a guy who heard his first rock and roll song when he was only three some 65 yrs ago.
Jani Lane was right on mark here.🎸🎶🎛️🥁 Miss you brother.
He will always be remembered as a great performer who performed well all the way to the very end.
I wish Great White would officially release some of this stuff.
Jani and Jack had been friends for decades. Jack and GW hand picked Jani as a temporary fill in for Jack while he recovered from his major health issues to later return to the band after his recovery. No he wasnt a replacement and no he isn't Jack and never claimed to be. I was friends with bith of them and they are snd were extraordinarily talented artists. We alk develooed our individual demons. Some of walked away before it got too far. I wish Jack the best of luck with his band.
I had no idea jani was ever in Great White , you answered my question, that he was only there temporary replacement, I was thinking why would jani front another band and sing other people's music.
I knew Jani from way back in the early 80s club circuit, we were not like best friends by any measure but I got to know him pretty good and saw him around quite a bit, he would always take time to talk for a couple minutes he wasn't arrogant or a dick at all, of course this was before he was huge but he always stayed that way down to earth, lost touch with him through the years and the last time I spoke to him was in 2006 when i ran into him in Huntington Beach and he looked healthy at that time, I still think the circumstances surrounding his death are weird and don't accept the story. RIP Jani.
One of Rock's Greatest! R.I.P.
What a great moment you captured. Thank you for this.
I'm so sad to say, I was not in any rocking state of mind when Jani died. All last year, I was dealing with one hell of a major issue. Still recovering from last year, so it was just the other day I found out. Two things on the matter. 1) it was a monumentally tragic loss. He'll never be forgotten. He was a defining factor in my love for rock, and, 2) I kick my own ass daily for not hearing this tragedy then. But, I will always sing his song, Heaven, to my wife. She loves that song.
if rock and roll had a middle name it would be JANI LANE !!!! THE DAY YOU DIED ROCK AND ROLL GOT PUNCHED IN THE FACE !!!!!!!!!!! UR MISSED BROTHER JESUS IS LORD ..........................
+1djtogo Right on man!!!!!!!! Jesus is LORD!!! Jani was incredible too.
Jesus is a bunch of b.s
I’m surpised it took 3 years for the devil to influence someone to attack someone praising Lord Jesus Christ openly.
Make that 4 years...
One hell of a job !!! Jani was one of the best rock singers of all time. Not many could do this right here. Dynamight!
i love this and jani just makes it ten times better
WOW this is killer!!
I love Jani's voice...it's always been so soothing to me!! he was an amazing musician who is gone too soon!!! Ever since I was a little girl Jani was always my lullabye at night and still to this day some 20 yrs later I still listen to his music when i'm drifting off to sleep....Love & Miss you so much Jani....RIP!!
Miss you and love you, Jani.

RIP Jani, great songwriter and singer
He passed away 4 years ago today.... R.I.P. Jani...

Awesome Jack replacement! RIP bro. U sing with angels now
💜 Jani
I WANT THE WHOLE CONCERT WITH JANI!
Wow...he did well. Love this song. Underrated tune performed admirably by the late great underrated Lane
I myself love Jani Lane. I also love Great White I guess that was when Great Whites Jack Russell was having Jani fill in some for him I don't know but I like both of them.
Looks in good shape here, no typical late-40s beer gut.
Wow....sounds great!
Love Jani!!!

Great singer and unplugged with great white house of broken love is great. Jack's voice is great.
This was just before he died .....so sad ....he was one talented musician...
Love this, thanks so much for posting it!
Jani Lane RIP!
That voice still rocks me...
Jani will be with me and all of his family, friends and fans forever. As for mark talking smack on here. Yes Bas(S. Bach is a bad mother) but you obviously no very little of which you speak. No need to belittle you or call names. Just remember this name John Oswald aka Jani Lani is a LEGEND something you will NEVER be
RIP my brutha.....Thanks for postin creamaria !!
Hated Warrant, but this guy had a HELL of a voice, R.I.P Jani!
Dog Eat Dog and Ultraphobic are very good albums.
Jani Lane was underrated as a singer!!
Estive lá e adorei o concerto.
Jani could still hit those highs this would have been awesome to see live
a Hybird.
AWESOME JANI, missing you!
RIP Jani
I see your man dont care, he aint here! great line
I was there. His voice wasn't in great shape that nite but he rock it anyway! Great singer.
Are you tone deaf?? He sounded INCREDIBLE!! Have you heard Jack lately? He BLOWS!!!
I think he sounds amazing.
Actually jack doesn’t sound too bad these days, and Jani sounds fantastic here.
2:02 Love the CASH shirt ..got the exact same one in Key West.
Does anyone remember Bobby being in the great White video for once bitten twice shy way before she hooked up with Jamie I’m just asking for a friend
It's Jani and she was also in House of Broken Love.
Fuckin' right I just saw Paul Shortino do this and was'nt feeling it.This has got me going. Now I wanna sing it!
I met Jani Lane in 2005 at Rite-Aid of all places. He was doing celebrity fit club on MTV at the time. Introduced himself as "John" when I shook his hand. Found that interesting.
He was Jani on stage and John in life. He always separated the two.
Jani :'(
Great job.
Jani always sounds great live he’s the real deal and the only one that is an acceptable replacement for jack
RIP JANI HORNS UP!!!
Jani Lane was the best!
I miss Jani’s vocals .... dude had some unique strength in his vocal range .
Rocked
Without comparisons with Jack, but Jani's performance was great, he showed to enjoy a lot of feeling to the fans!
God ur missed.
He passed away the year after this... so sad... he had a nice, manly voice.
I was in this concet and I remember being a bit disappointed not seeing Jack here.
Jani sounded so good here 🥹gone way too soon..
@AlohaFamily He has been helping out since September.
Mannnnnn makes me sad. \m/
Man, Jani sounds fucking excellent here..
Mark Kendall . Always dug his style.
wonder if he was going to be the new frontman for this version of GW
I wish you were here , you would still be living with me and I would go with you to every Rock concert that you take for real , love you man ( hell yeah ) I would not cheat on you for anything or I would be there for you if you need to talk about anything for real
WOW!!!! This is the REAL DEAL!!!! He sounded fuckin AWESOME!!!! Just as good as Jack or better!!! The guys from Warrant Fucked up for not doing all they could to keep JANI yea he had an addiction but who of us don't... Of some kind ! I know hindsight is 20/20 but C'mon this was a LIFE!! & all the songs from warrant ...CAME FROM JANI. IF NOT FOR JANI THISE GUYS WOULD BE NOTHING!!! RIP JANI I FOR 1will miss you!!!
Jani had his demons as well. And It was cool that he could help Jack out. As we all know unfortunately Jani succumb to those demons, R.I.P. Jani.
Jani should have been Jack's permanent replacement once it was decided to let Jack go for good. Great White could have played all their great songs of course, in addition to the great Warrant tunes. Particularly the fantastic Dog Eat Dog album. Jani Lane was a great singer and songwriter.
Hopefully "Heaven" was'nt too far away...he got closer to it everyday! No matter what these freaks say I know that he had found a way.....
I think it's sick what the other members of warrant did to jani. Jani lane was warrant the voice and the lyrics
Rob Berry What did they do?
Just like Jack was to Great White and all other singers are to the bands they originated in.
🤘💀
Knew him well. DRUGS Have Fucking ruined alot of us. I is SAD That No One could Get close enough to him to kick his ass and show him happyness not sorrow. That all of the Money and fame in this world is short lived and on loan. If we could learn this one thing..more of us would be alive..I lost it all. It hurts to even wacth. The shows that We played together TYRANNY @ the country Club for Whoa Nelly.. There were so many. I loved the MoterHead Show with TYRANNY & HERITIC. Jani loved TYRANNY
He is missed.
I saw Warrant open for Motley Crue back in the day. Jani had great stage presence and a good voice. I preferred Warrant over the Crue.
The most close to Jack Russell...Terry amd Mitch seems to be guys covering great white songs..
Jani Fucking lane man!!
Jani Lane would have been better in Boston in my opinion his vocals sounded like their lead singers (plural) they had more than one lead vocalist in the band through the years.
Just curious who it was? Billy Morris?
How the hell did this band stay together after the Station?
They didn't cause the fire it was Jack Russell's version of the band.
was he on his way to a wedding??
Vernon Robinson thought the same thing...that shirt!
