This music is just fantastic. It really fits the topics of this heist. Like this is supposed to be the ultimate heist of all, but instead of Hype beat music and money scattered as far as the eye can see, there is none. There's no extra loot, no Happy stealth tone, There is only sadness. Your friend is hanging on a "life thread," and every heist you've done so far has lead to this moment. Even the sky is dark and feeling unwelcoming to you for the first time. Giving you this sense of... something is not right. Is freedom really the great ultimate reward? In the start of the game in steatlh, you're disguised in Murky uniforms, this emotion of being one with the enemy just feels wrong for a ultimate heist. The tone is depressing, unforgiving, feelings of hatred and betreyal fills the air. every joke Locke throws at you, dosen't feel funny anymore, and the guards are crawling everywhere. if you get spotted in stealth, the tone shifts from dispair to the feeling of Dread. This is your (sorta) final plan B, and you know you'll have to brute force your way in. as murkies prepare to fight you and your crew. Time is ticking, and now your skills ahve to be at top. because if you fail this, your friend is not gonna make it. his last memories will only be of failure, and you will be greeted with the sound of a static radio. no Locke, no Bain. Nothing. so now you must do your all. As the tone turns to loud, it goes to a very simple Cool tone that while sounding really good, also feels... lacking. don't get me wrong the loud music is great, but because of this lack of tunes. It's very simple and any music lover can imagine extra beat or more instrument could be added. But no, this tune was made to be lacking with purpose. Even if you got to the PEOC and got all the papers, you cn't help but feeling that there's something.. off. like there was no Dentist, no ultimate boss or any of the stuff. it was just as simple as hacking a giant safe, grab the papers and get out. Perhaps there are something more.. something hidden within the white house. but only the worthy will know of this. They know of the giant shadow hiding behind the white house, and the final puzzle awaits.

Then during the good ending cutscene they cheer after the president’s speech because when he says “let’s do this” the gang knows for sure that the reincarnation worked since that’s Bain’s signature catch phrase.

Darth Bain was a Dank Lord of the Thieves so powerful and so wise, he could the power of crime.net to influence the heisters to commit crime. He had such a knowledge of the Drill Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from detection.
I like how the track fits with most of heists involving murkywater, it's like that it's some sort of anthem or main theme for Murkywater, LCV Actually did well in this one.

Even if there isn't as much action as his other tracks, this one's still pretty damn good, especially with those very strong John Wick vibes, this one wouldn't be out of place in one of the movies tbh. Personally I feel like the more serious vibes here are still fitting considering why you're doing this, who you're doing this for, all this "end of the world" type of stuff happening in the lore recently, the plane crash, the president missing, and what happens after the heist itself. Although I definitely wouldn't have said no to something with more action in it.
IMO it's the vibe that taking on the White House is supposed to be something that would be grand, awesome in the history of heisting but... so many things are going wrong in this world, Bain is dying, the potential glory and feat feels... hollow.
Every time i come back to listen to this i ALWAYS expect the punch line of this joke to be Confirmed Thrills Simply due to how much it's loathed in the comments of the video by most.

Unlike quite a few of the game's tracks, it doesn't scream, "Yeah, we're gonna survive this assault and get rich!" or, "Alright, let's complete this objective and get out of here!" this one is much more bleak. It just gives off the pure vibe of, "YOU KNOW this is a suicide mission. They're throwing every last thing in their disposal at you. If you go down, go down shooting." which accompanies the heist (ESPECIALLY ON DEATH SENTENCE) absolutely perfectly.
Also the "somber" tone of the song makes you feel like something is not right, by this point you probably learned about the lore of Payday with all the supernatural stuff in play, The Dentist is the bad guy, the president has gone missing, Bain is slowly dying and a bunch of other things happening, it does feel like an endgame sorta thing, except that after you complete the heist there is no happy ending (until you do the secret at least lol)

Would've been a much better set up for PayDay 3, with Dallas taking the role Bain had for a new crew. And they could've continued the weird paranormal/eldritch stuff with the Dentist at a later point, rather then just have him get dropped with next to no fight
As much as I love On The Road for its feeling of this grand triumphant climax, this track perfectly encapsulates the sense of despair that hangs over the White House. It really feels like the last stand for both parties involved. Both the Payday Crew and Murkywater are on their last legs in one last desparate battle for survival. Even Locke's usual jokes in the heist itself somehow feel more melancholic than usual. There's no easy way out; Whichever side loses will be utterly destroyed. The track perfectly encapsulates that.

Before this, Le Castle Vania for me was a creator of shitty saw dubstep. But this. Boy oh boy. This is an epic come back. Stealth part keeps you in a tight grasp. And the loud part. Boy oh boy. It's actually better to listen to in the actual game because gunfire fill some gaps and makes it in the unique complex soundtrack.

The first time i did that heist, i had three friends with me and we were in the elevator before the vault. This song kicked in and we all started spamming caps in chat and dancing. This song is probably my favorite of all PAYDAY 2.
Scanning an area for how to stealth it _up until_ it goes loud on this feels great, it's the perfect song for knowing you're not gonna get that stealth bomus.
I enjoyed this track. Sounds intense but has a feeling something isn’t right. How the entire heist is almost like something entirely set up by a power that’s greater than you and you’re supposed to simply follow it.
Firstly i hated this song, because i wanted more adrenaline in the LAST heist... But then i realized, that that music is VERY Epic, and it's suits for the LAST heist!
Simon having one (last) big epic track for the final heist of this game would have been perfect. But this track here had to be part of something big. Hell's Island would have fit there. Whenever I play PAYDAY2, I treat the White House as the ultimate heist, basically being locked out of my reach until I reach said heist in Career Mode. Even if I get the items necessary for the Secret Ending, I still won't play White House until I am *ready* for the final mission.

The first time i did that heist, i had three friends with me and we were in the elevator before the vault. This song kicked in and we all started spamming caps in chat and dancing. This song is probably my favorite of all PAYDAY 2.
There's a reason why I love going loud rather than stealth
Scanning an area for how to stealth it _up until_ it goes loud on this feels great, it's the perfect song for knowing you're not gonna get that stealth bomus.
I enjoyed this track. Sounds intense but has a feeling something isn’t right. How the entire heist is almost like something entirely set up by a power that’s greater than you and you’re supposed to simply follow it.
Stealth part reminds me of Mirror's Edge.

Whenever I play PAYDAY2, I treat the White House as the ultimate heist, basically being locked out of my reach until I reach said heist in Career Mode.
Even if I get the items necessary for the Secret Ending, I still won't play White House until I am *ready* for the final mission.
