    Those are my rankings exactly same as yours brother! I loved Jani and always ran into him in Hollywood in 2008 & 2009 he looked great everytime I saw him and I had no idea he was struggling. He smiled and talked to me always and I even remember his girlfriend. I played a Toys for toys gig in the Valley and I can’t remember if it was 2007 or 2008 but my band was “Storyteller” and after the show Jani said that I was a great singer in the dressing room to me ..that comment lived with me until this day he was so kind and loving person.
    Thank you for sticking up for Jani and all the Warrant videos you put out brother!
    God Bless and thank you for serving and protecting our Country ! Much love and gratitude is not enough 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏👊👊👊

    was having a bad day the day they filmed that.

      @@maxconstar7731 ultraphobic was only getting press from metal edge magazine. i remember going to buy it, and the record store having one copy. even when i bought it, they never backfilled the stock afterwards.
      i tried all i could in 1995 to get songs from it played during my high school sporting events, or even at dance's! the record was fantastic.
      i played a lot of songs in the car for friends, and they always loved it, but were so turned off when they heard it was warrant. that mentality drives me nuts, and i have to imagine the band worse.
      jani said that they got a lot of college radio play, but it clearly didn't lead to album sales back then.

  • @LuchaLibertaria

    For me 'Dog Eat Dog' is their best and it can stand its own against any other Hard Rock albums of that era.
    Nice review, enjoyed watching it. However, calling your channel 'Hair Metal Haven' is not a good idea. When you call a band 'Hair Metal' , it doesnt make them look cool, it makes them look lame and ridiculous, meaning they have got nothing to offer beyond bighair. Jani Lane certainly had a lot to offer beyond hairspray. Calling your channel 'Hard Rock Haven' or '80s Rock'n Roll Haven' might be a better idea, you can reach more people without any negative stigma. Rock on 🎸🎸

    • @HairMetalGuru419
      @HairMetalGuru419  Před rokem +2

      Hey, I appreciate the view and the words of wisdom! I considered that quite a bit before I started the channel, but I decided not to run from the term "Hair Metal." I know in some circles it has a negative connotation, but I've decided to embrace it for better and worse. Hope you come back for more!

    • @LuchaLibertaria
      @LuchaLibertaria Před rokem

      @@HairMetalGuru419 It will never be cool to say you like bands that care more about their hair than their music. 80s rock bands had wild hairstyles but they were first and foremost hard-working talented musicians. 'Hair Metal' channel may attract a few 80s nostalgia loving midddle-aged guys but it will also stigmatise large sections of the rock community, as most people don't wanna associate with something that sounds lame and ridiculous. Terms like "80s Hard Rock, Hard'n Heavy" etc are better choices if you want people to respect these bands & reach out to a bigger audience. Just saying 👍🎸

    • @HairMetalGuru419
      @HairMetalGuru419  Před rokem +2

      @@LuchaLibertaria I never claimed that the bands care about their hair more than their music, and I think my video makes that abundantly clear. I happen to be a major fan of "hair metal" bands, I love the music, the image, and the attitude, and running away from the term seems to be a little offputting to me. I see why some people don't like it, but I feel like it can be embraced in a respectful way, which is what I plan to do with this channel. If the channel name is the biggest problem with my content, I'll take that.

    • @LuchaLibertaria
      @LuchaLibertaria Před rokem

      @@HairMetalGuru419 'Hair Metal' literally means that these were 'hair bands' - bands that put image over talent and substance. It's a grunge-era derisive term that stigmatises 80s rock bands regardless of your good intentions. I'm proud of wild hairstyles, it was a middle-finger to the clean cut establishment of its day, but reducing it to bighair is smthg else. Again this is what the term means regardless of how you use it. I celebrate the Glam-Rock image and talent and there's no need for these silly derisive terms

      @@HairMetalGuru419 Btw, just remembered that grungers were using the term 'spandex metal' for 80s Trad Metal bands like Iron Maiden 😃😃 Thankfully its gone now, 'Spandex Metal Iron Maiden' doesn't sound as cool as 'Metal legends Iron Maiden' 😃👌

    Its a shame you didn't discuss the cover's records two new songs. subhuman and face are among the best songs that warrant released without the original lineup. while i love all of their output (not big on the mason era albums, or born again), i would say that it was a shame they never did a record of orignals with billy morris on guitar. the guy was crazy good.

    Ultraphobic is my favourite and one of my favourite 90s albums from in my opinion the best year of the 90s!Also highly underrated to me!
    Cherry Pie is another great one! my favourite of their Glam/Hair period.
    Dog Eat Dog is pretty nice especially Machine Gun!
    I really hate Belly To Belly especially coming off Ultraphobic it feels like a watered down Alt Rock/Post-Grunge effort with barely any Hard Rock and poor to average catchiness.
