It's just incredible, spectacular, how he manages to change his voice so many times, sometimes within seconds, within ONE audio book. And each and every voice is totally different... old men, young women, accents, he does it all.
It's breathtaking, it really is. Listen.
He needs to narrate my life with a different accent every day.
Ok he needs to record any and all future audiobooks... No one else, just him. If I have to listen to a book instead of reading it myself, I'd rather listen to his voice. It's like velvet, silky-smooth and warm. He's so talented too with how many different voices he can do. It's perfect for audiobooks!

I found benedict before even seeing him in any series, then i watched the imitation game and i saw how freaking talented this man is and then i checked out sherlock and fell in love with his intepretation of sherlock and how he was so good at bringing the egotistical/socially awkward sherlock out but also be such a gentleman in real life. After i fell in love with his work and his talent, and voice of cuz, i starting falling for him as a person too even his looks. He is not ugly. To some people he might look weird but to me, i find him so attractive in a physical way and a mental way. Brainy is the new sexy.

Don't get me wrong here, I am thoroughly and probably forever totally in love with this man. I like his style of being a human being and he is an accomplished and compelling actor. I am SHERlocked. This said, his American accent needs more coaching. He should come live in Michigan for a while. He could stay at my place while he listens and practices.

His voice is warm liquid chocolate. His face so expressive that lies flee from it. His mind! Oh my heart strings, his mind is which I admire and adore the most. With it he has cowered the weak skilled thespians who run rampant in the entertainment world today and raised the standard to which it should have always been. Benedict Cumberbatch, thank you for becoming an actor and NOT a lawyer.

British actors always seem to do Southern accents better than American actors. I remember being surprised to learn that Vivian Leigh was English. I know I'm going to get fire and brimstone rained down upon my head but I did not appreciate Kyra Sedgewick in The Closer. I hated her Southern accent.
I heard recently that the southern accent is from England somehow. Pretty cool.

"...clearly very talented" My holy God! The man is an incredible actor. One of these days we're going to see him win an Academy Award for a performance... if he gets the right part to play. I've seen him in literally dozens of roles in the past several years and he does nothing but get better and better. And yes, I agree wholeheartedly-- his popularity is going to go through the roof and trite saying though it is... 'his name will before long become a household word' in America besides Britain.

I think Sherlock started it but Star Trek hammered him into the map. Benedict and Martin are on the verge of being the most sought after actors in Hollywood I think.

This is so impressive with all his accents. He doesn't quite pull off the female American Southerner, but for a guy from Britain, he's not far off, which is pretty damn impressive!
