IT WAS YOU AND YOUR STORY of finding what was missing in your life that taught me about a GENERAL CONFESSION. I was 67 and a faithful catholic all my life and did not know about a general confession. I think it was the hardest thing I have ever done !!!!! I prepared with the ten commandments and the seven deadly sins of emotions but father it took me even longer to find a priest to hear my confession for I was told that general confessions are for the dying .. I drove 60 miles to make this special confession and felt like I just received the most important sacrament of my life.. as I walked out the bells of the church were ringing and my feet never touched the ground truly the most rewarding event of my life and Father I was transformed by your mass explanation and am ON FIRE FOR THE EUCHARIST.. I break down in tears especially if I gifted with a piece of the consecrated host. I can not begin to tell you the effects you have had on my faith. I grow stronger thanks to YOU.. God picked a WARRIOR.

As a mother (and convert) I’m so happy that I’m learning and teaching my children and it’s all thanks to you father Alar! I’m guilty of so many wrong doings in my walk but no sin or no devil will keep me from my lord. The lies the enemy tries to traps us in are the very ones we need to break out of. WOW! Fr. Chris! My gosh, I wish I lived closer to you so I might be able to discuss SO MANY things you covered in this topic. I was glued to every word and found my self tearing up from guilt, at so many points of this talk. Ugh!
I am trying SO HARD to be a good Catholic but with your teachings, I am realizing just how much I never knew was considered "grave sins". I go to confession once a month but after THIS I need to LITERALLY make a list and go sooner!!
Question, if we HONESTLY did not know something was a Grave Sin" will GOD forgive us if we have realized the sin and confess it asap?

Thank you Lynette, but don't despair! I ran out of time but wanted to add that God's mercy is greater than any of these sins! If we are truly sorry and seek his forgiveness in the confessional, we are forgiven! I realize that I focused too much on the sins and not enough on God's mercy, which is the answer to those sins! You are on the right track, so don't be intimidated... God wants you to know that He is love and is always there to forgive you :)

Father Chris, I have prayed for over a couple decades for a priest who would express publicly, explicitly, unapologetically, wholly, passionately, and completely. God is answering my prayer through you. Was it too much of me to ask God for every priest to be doing what you are doing? There may be others, of course. Were it not for your online service, I wouldn't have known of you. So, thanks be to God for that technology as well. So, thanks be to God for you.
Please stay the course. Our souls depend on solid food from a bona fide ecclesiastical authority, because the laity doesn't have that power and we need to be fed from such an authority for the truth to be binding.

I ride my scooter to daily Mass, most mornings you ride with me. I like to listen to your teachings about the Eucharist before I get there. It puts me in the right mind and heart for Mass and Our Lord's presence in the Eucharist❤ it takes me about 45 min. But having you to listen to is such a blessing. You remind me of the missions that I have attended to when missionaries come to our church. It is deep teachings of our catholic religion and not just scraping the top.
