And New Zealand's Graeme Crosby was also legend of professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racing and a versatile rider who was equally capable on either four stroke Superbikes or two stroke Grand Prix machines.

Crosby was one hell of a good rider. Packed it in way too early at the peak of his skills. If he'd arrived on the scene 10 to 15 years later, he would have been far better supported by a factory team and probably had a longer and more dominant career.
Love rewatching his races here on CZcams, my all time favorite rider.

NR500 was a four cylinder. Spencer's bike was a 3 cylinder 500.
God the American tv directors were cheesy back then. Great footage.
Is the displacement of Spencer's bike 500cc? And is it NR500?

No it is the 1000cc Honda superbike. Fairing is totally different to the 500.

Crosby won 3 TT races and the F1TT world championship

yes it all sounded like Spencer did this and that but the true legend was NZer Graeme again!!
Do not think Freddie ever raced at the TT, but Croz raced his flat barred Moriwaki Kawasaki at the 1979 TT.
Nope, the FWS 1000 didn't win Daytona the next time, OW 69 Yamaha's won the last two true 200's in 1983 & 84.
Agreed. The last two stroke to win at Daytona was in 1984 with Kenny's last competitive race. In '83 he finished first with Eddie second.
