It was not pursued and they all walked away from 10X, probably because they didn't want to get any definitive answers and run the risk of solving the Oak island mystery and ending this lucrative money-making Number One show. Being that Oak Island is very near to Gold River where gold deposits have indeed been discovered in the distant past, it is very possible that gold and silver mining occurred in the very distant past at Oak Island when the sea level surrounding Oak Island was much lower by virtue of all the tunnels and wood found deep underground at Oak island. But that's not to say that something (i.e. a tomb) was not placed deep underground via the "then dry" caverns by somebody in ancient times. Sorry so lengthy! -- John

That cave is natural, no treasure. These guys will never find the true answer. And that makes me think it's not a treasure it's a tomb. Someone buried with some offerings like gold and silver, swords and parchment. But who? Spoiler alert: local sources say they have found something but are waiting to retrieve it because the Canadian government government is trying to lay claim to it.
I wouldn't be surprised by this, if true, one bit. Columbia did the same thing to the company that found a well known Spanish wreck off of their shores that was filled with silver and gold. At first, the Columbian government let those who found the treasure believe they would be able to retrieve the treasure with only a little supervision by some government officials. But, once the gold and silver started being brought up, they were becoming increasingly officious and started seeming threatening to the crew. After a while, all pretense dropped and they moved the original crew off of the project. The crew took their case to Court, trying to get, at least, the minimum of a 10% finders fee. But, it appears that Columbia decided that they wanted to keep all the treasure instead. The Lagina brothers need to play it very smart, otherwise they could end up in the very same position vis-a-vis the Canadian government.

C'mon man! Pirates had nothing to do with the Money Pit. What was buried/concealed deep beneath Oak Island in the very distant past was never meant to be recovered. It is most probably a tomb.
@@MrJdebest Aliens didn't do it either! The Money Pit was originally a deep, open sinkhole somehow connected to the caverns deep beneath Oak Island and the "tomb" was deposited at the base of the "sinkhole" via cave/niche entrances at the shoreline that are now completely underwater due to the slowly-rising sea level over the past two millennium surrounding Oak Island. In other words--- "whatever it is" was deposited FROM BELOW and not from above at the surface. The "sinkhole" (i.e. the Money Pit) was backfilled after the fact with dirt and the securely-fastened oak log platforms to protect and conceal "whatever it is" that lies far below. I learned long ago that this Reality TV show doesn't tell you everything.
