Who Were the Scribes and Pharisees?

  • In the 1st century, the Scribes and Pharisees were the "good guys." They were the teachers and leaders of Israel, and highly esteemed by most Jewish people. This video surveys the history and importance of both religious groups, as well as helps us understand why they were opposed to Jesus. We also take a look at the Old Testament background of the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15.

Remember the Romans were in power then and our Lord and savior was not going to synagogue on Sunday sun worship day, the "Romans and their church" have made a lot of changes and they are not the ones to follow. So if you're in a discipleship or you're in a congregation a church that goes to "worship on Sunday" the first day of the week and they don't follow the Sabbath the fourth commandment Exodus 31:13 Isaiah 58 13-14 or try to learn the Laws-Torah- commandments of our heavenly Father The Most High YAHUAH Almighty Father Yahushua HaMashiach Son The King. Our Lord and savior. If you love me you'll follow my commandments we are told written down for us. Then you need to get away from those false teachers false prophets false religions.

I came across your video about Melchizedek and then I went on to your page and saw this video I haven't finished it yet but it made me remember Matthew 5:17-20 I'm just starting to learn a lot of things at 46-51 roughly from the beginning of starting to keep the Sabbath day to the best of my understanding Friday sunset Saturday sundown not eating pork crustaceans the best I can for somebody that eats out mostly. There's a lot to learn and and a lot to unlearn unlearn the liessss and relearn the truths. This is the second video I watched from you so far and I haven't finished it yet and I'm watching it right now. The reason I wanted to watch this video is because it said the Pharisees and scribes and our Lord and savior said if we don't have more righteousness than the Pharisees of the scribes we won't be invited into heaven inherit inherit heaven and be with our Lord and savior and be with The Most High YAHUAH Almighty Father Yahushua HaMashiach Son The King The Way The Truth and The Life No One Comes To The Father Except Through Him.

Me too. I read a book abt Yeshua of Nazareth by Reza Aslan and it helped me better understand why he went abt teaching amongst the poor and the sick ppl of Judea. I know now why some of the Pharisees disliked him and the reason the Sadducees wanted him gone. I believe the Sadducee high priests had their Roman connections for more wealth & the Pharisees were about piety with obeyance to the laws without true love of the masses of poor ppl. That's how I comprehend it. Thank you for sharing these historical facts with the tube viewers. There's a lot I still don't know abt Christianity and I build my faith on many lectures abt this via historical lessons.

There was nothing morally upright about these Journalists that Jesus preached to ? These secretaries of the Jews that the Prophet Jeremiah spoke about were correspondents who's pen wrote untrue statements about God's messengers. Jeremiah 8:8. The Jews has their own handwritings that the book of Esther speaks of ? Esther 8:9.Their own script. Handwritings that the Jews dictators dictate so these news reporters who edit the words that God commands Israel through Moses : not to do : take away from his words: these tyrants know the law of the Torah.
these tyrants have a desire to control what these scribes write after they speaks to God who say, I controls what's in man's mind ? God prophets that he commands, is to record what he says from his mouth to his prophets mouth what he speaks from is His tongue that his servant said is the ink.what Jesus means by the ones he say exceeds the scribes and the Pharisees, he means: the only way the mass and his apostles can excel is their knowings of the two groups knowing is ? to know more than all of them all together ? having more knowledge than what these two sects already has. the mass and his apostles must be taught more and more until they are exceptional than these sects put together ? The man is saying my beautiful Queen: you must as Solomon said: add to you're learning ? ( Proverbs 9:9 ) when you increase in learning as Solomon say: more education will be given to you as Jesus say? Just make a request in prayer to God as I do. Lol. This chad dude is leading you astray. We black people are and were the lost sheep ( People ) on account of these Jews whom Yeshua calls, liars.

Mercy you need more bible studying dear luv... Chad, i've listened to him ...i was watching, doing what I was given a command to do ? pay attention very carefully to every word that came out of that man's mouth. The scribe Ezra was proficient ? he was an expert in the law: a statute that Moses spoke to all of Israel about ? Moses said to the Jews, be mindful of the ones who have this ability to teach you these special skills as their engravers ? these engravers are the ones that inscribe to others, they are the characters whose status is of the highest qualities according to God's words the one who constituted to the Jewish writers his highest degrees of excellence. the ones whose ideas are to achieve your level of degrees that will be higher than all ? they Moses said will be God's needlework that he will teach these craft-men to be keenly aware what God said in his law: do not spread a false report : because an untrue statement is not a true statement? These craft men are the ones that Moses taught not make a mistake in their statements towards others because the others of a different character will say: God's scribes are in error ? did not Moses teach you men those words of God ? do not make an error because God is always right and never wrong ? I thought Moses taught you scribes to have all the facts ? I was given eyes to see Ms Davis.

  • @sojournsojourntraveler1203

Thank you for this teaching, it explained the reason why the teachers of scripture have such a distorted view of work on the Shabbat for example. I have sheep and they need to be dealt with at different times of the day and to different degrees pending on the season as well as fire wood to stay warm. I attributed this to the fact that the rabbis were urbane and lived in a very warm climate similar to southern Texas.
Your explanation has given me yet another dimension of understanding of all of this.
Unfortunately the creators of the Talmud brought it back from Babylon and continue to add on to and take away from the Torah because of it. Yet another example of the distortion as even now the “orthodox Jews” are extending the Shabbat to 25 hrs and pray for the deaths of “everyone” else on earth other than them selves 3 times a day.
Even non orthodox Jews. In their view of the future enforcement of the Noahide laws would include the death of millions of people.

In some ways- these deepest inquiries into who or what is evil and who is good or just, I seem to come a great sort of quantum dilemma- You say Paul was of the Pharisees- but we know the message of the Lord and his discplines- to love, to forgive, to follow God's will. The reason these groups spoke against Jesus is that he was an excessive learner who knew more and more about these mandates as them. The man Jesus never had enough of learning ? He understood, he had to know more about what these two groups was educated in, whether it was civil law, criminal law ,religious law, Journalism law, you name it.He knew that there was no limit to these teachings of God ? He knew that David came to ask God in his prayers : teach him more than all of his teachers so that he can have a more understanding of God's laws than his teachers. The more we know in addition to what we have been given? more information than all else.

I think the scribes Jesus is referring to in verses like Matthew 23:13 are the offspring/children of Cain,
called Kenites in 1 Chronicles 2:55,
and they only claim to be of Judah, but lie, and are the synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9, and 3:9, Matthew 23:33, John 8:44)

Jeremiah 35th chapter covers who the kenites are. Note that you can't get it confused with Jethro/Reuel Moses's father in law being a kenite he was just living in the land of the kenites. It sounds like the Pharisees thought shepherds were low class, and they were high-minded snobs.

Pretty much. I think a lot of people that call themselves Christians display a Pharisee spirit more so than that of Christ. The Pharisees were judge mental, thought highly of themselves and looked down on other’s, when in fact, we are told to think more of others than of ourselves and not to be so highly esteemed . I see people doing the exact same things today

@@mrs.bartlett6047most of the christians i know are pretty humble and happy people, but I only know few people at the church I participate in. for the most part i keep to myself and I don't put a lot of stock into people who say they are christian but also say they don't participate.

If the pharisees were the ones studying the Torah how come they couldn't see that Jesus is God manifested in the flesh?

For them it is all form, in hypocrisy, gaudy, so they hate the innocent and playful unpretentious without guile, being vain oppressors who tried to steal the world against God, and His Throne.
      The Sentence is Death.

During the Babylonian captivity, some jews did not return they developed a brand of Babylonian Judaism which was corrupted, when Jesus came they had already spread to Judea, their Version of torah interpretation was already corrupted, some of them were even not ethinic Jews, that is why they even denied that they ever were enslaved (John 8:33), but claimed a lineage from Abraham (verse 39), they were some of them from Esau's line. To be a Jew then was not racially or ethinically defined as such but the claim to Abraham mattered lineage. They had a corrupted religion through traditions. But the real jews those faithful ones understood the Messiah when he came. Same today.

Blood sacrifice just shows how primitive Judaism really is. For some reason, Jusaism is respected far more than Islam - and certainly far more than Christianity is these days. But why? Judaism contains all the flaws of the other two Abrahamic faiths, and then some.

    • @1JMoney
      @1JMoney Před rokem

Blood stands as a symbol for doing the work of a warrior. Say, Judah Maccabee.
Judaism however is corrupt, because they are all sorcerers trying to use Hebrew for world domination. They're condemned already.
The churches are no different. Usurpers of God's Kingdom, who have forgotten Christ, and worship an idol of convenience, not God.
