What! Did I hear Campion, Calabar, K.C.? These schools were only known for high academic excellence! Not too long ago, high school students right across the board understood that much was given to them and therefore, much was expected of them. Uniforms were respected and were worn with dignity and pride! I'm not saying that all students behaved perfectly, and everything went well with all, but how many bad apples were present, or how bad were those apples to warrant the closure of a school. The few bad apples were quickly tossed out. I can't agree more that every child must be given equal opportunity to at least acquire a high school education. Unfortunately, the recent happenings with students have proven that not everyone will respect the opportunities given to them. Moral has left the Island and it's about to get worse, because these children will be parents someday!
Wow, that girl must be made of gold, to have so many students from different schools fighting over her. But more importantly is the continued display of self hate, to point where we are Lynching each other instead of of Loving Each Other.
Oh boy what is happening now it seems as if the school has been operating too well for the pass few months,so the enemy don’t like the peace ,the devil is a liar ,let’s pray for our schools and young people 🙏🏿

What we are seeing now is as a result as JAMAICANS refusing to BE PARENTS, but wi nuh waah talk bout dat. We'll blame EVERYTHING and EVERYONE except ourselves as parents. We as a society are focused on everything else but the important things such as having an active roll in raising the children.
About a month ago or so I heard the mention of banning "corporal punishment", does this look like that's the direction we should be going in? Children used to fear that even cursing on the road would et back to their parents or school and that there would be harsh punishment. Now dem nuh fear NOTHING! Since dem waah fight, sen dem uppa JDF mek dem fight. But gwaan spen unnu time being entertained.
Ministry of Education must get consultants to Assist them in Conflict Resolution classes ! There is a need for a “ suspension system “ to be implemented to enable consequences for inappropriate behavior

1. Children live what they learn. Most students in Jamaica are from broken, unstable or dysfunctional homes. Additionally, we have a widely accepted culture of violence, hostility and often revel in mayhem and distruction. Our adults are widely known to be poor examples to include Jamaica's parlimentarians so it should come as no surprise when students' actions reflect their immediate and extended environment. Sad😥
2. Small farmers of animals and/or crops continue to suffer at the hands of thieves. It cannot continue like this!! That vehicle's licence plate number should be used to find the owner. He/she must give an account of who had permission to drive the vehicle etc. so that the law can deal with the crooks involved. Sick of these parasites targetting good, honest working people. Glad the community members assisted him when he raised an alarm. Will the MP or RADA in St. Thomas assist this farmer in even partial recovery of the $$ value of his loss?

God gave us these children with a responsibility. The first teacher is the parent so the first school they attend is in the home. Have we given them back to God and allow him to give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding so we can train and nurture them in love accordingly to his will. As parents we have fail our children and our God given responsibility. Let us pray for and with our children. God still answers prayers. Only him can transform our children minds so love peace ,respect and unity will reign.

We need road in cascade ,Davis Town, John Reid, Cufferidge , Borrobridge, Lorimas,and we also need pipe water in Cascade and Davis Town. Those road are in a deplorable condition. My children refuse to go visit family because there is no road to drive on . Its all holes
MPs should not be fixing community roads from national funds in Kingston (which is a lengthier process than regional county based taxes/funding). Why do we have expensive municipal corporations if they are not empowered to do more by directly collecting their own taxes from economic growth towards more quickly fixing/maintaining community infrastructure)? We need to end the current backward colonial system of having excessively centralized local government embedded with Kingston's central government bureaucracy (which holds rural areas hostage to Parliament/the MPs).
Fiscally and technically empowered regional county councils run by a board of municipal mayors is the solution!
