You know I find it really funny and not at all surprising that when the average person that listens to the average radio music,and is more of a hip hop r&b and pop listener, ends up finding someone into metal they start playing their songs they like, and then eventually they're like I'll give that music a try and they find something else they like so on and so forth then they actually get addicted to the music actually forges neural pathways in the brain causes the same endorphins as that of cocaine and lights up the reward center of the brain,calms the body lower blood pressure ECT ECT I think a lot of the problem is when people hear that they associate it it's angry and blah blah and it's like nope they're just getting their frustrations out and they get paid to do such, and a lot of people are afraid to say hey I'm angry out loud, those emotions often get suppressed go unchecked or come out in the wrong way, this music is a lifesaver for me that's my therapy I can listen to it for hours each beat each note is always enjoyable music never gets old it's not just a past time it's not just a popular on the radio for 6 months then on to the next thing, piece of music are written almost like small orchestras completely different feel confident completely different energy far more benefits for those that give this genre a chance and then do usually end up falling in love with it becomes their main choice of music may take some time but it eventually happens, but all music really relatively is the same as far as lyrics go they're all written in some form of rhyme catch you lyrics chords just sang in different vocal tones, but the general just is no matter what genre do you do if you want to be successful you just got to follow music theory,I mean look at slaughter to prevail lately very successful release with kostolom and that music is heavy as fuck still I find myself listening to track after track and total enjoyment, point is lyrics in rock and metal seem to have a more profound lasting effect, and the beats and rhythms choruses seem to have a lllot more impact and seem to just stick a whole lot better and are well thought and aren't trying to use the coattails and in one way of putting it recycled lyrics been there heard that kind of thing

Odd choice of verbiage there. I love the dark, but Maria doesn't seem to be dead, nor rotting. Mysterious, feminine, angry, vital, and amazing yes. Dead and rotting is something I would ascribe to any modern pop "artist" like Katy Perry.

I've always loved this song! Maria just exudes power, but I read these lyrics right now as I have a thousand times before and tonight they have new meaning for me. Probably because I'm different now. I use to read them from the feminine standpoint of this is what I can bring to the table as if it were merely about the female.
