Detect Motion and Destroy Target! Amazing Autonomous DIY Idea

  • In this video I show you how to build a DIY motion tracking project with a Raspberry Pi 3. The project is autonomous so it moves and fires the gun when it detects motion. I used laser module for this project, but you can easily change modify this build to use a Nerf instead. This project allows you to detect and track a person with OpenCV and then trigger a device (such as a laser or gun).

    It's cool but an overkill. All you need is 4 infrared sensors - you arrange them in a square grid and separate with a cross shaped divider high enough to partially obstruct at least one of the sensors unless the whole thing is aimed exactly at the middle of the infrared spectrum emitter. Congratulations, you've just effectively built yourself a grid-eye sensor. You then control the motors with signals from each infrared sensor. No digital circuits needed. Signal from the most exposed sensor is the strongest and will always win until the whole sensor grid reaches an equilibrium, i.e. aims at your target.

      @@maker101io can you make a video on motion sensing animatronic robot head with pir sensor? Which can look around, blink it's eyes and detect the position of any object in front of it. But raspberry pi is too difficult for me, so I would prefer arduino. I'm planning to make a robot head which is only operated with servo and the eyes will be made of led matrix. But that would be just a toy. :( So I would like to request you to make a arduino based animatronic robot head if possible. Thanks ☺️

    Merhaba Mert Bey,
    Bu prototipinizi çok beğendim. Aynısını bende yapmak istiyorum ve tutorial paylaştığınız için teşekkür ederim. Bir kaç sorum olacaktı bu konu ile alakalı. Sorularım şunlar;
    Daha hızlı bir sistem, hızlı görüntü işleme, daha hızlı motor hareketleri ve yüksek doğruluk payını elde etmek için neler yapabilirim?
    Benim üzerine takacağım silahın ağırlığını kaldırabilecek motor seçimini nasıl yapabilirim? Bu arada gerçek silah takmayı düşünüyorum.
    Pan-tilt sistemi olarak yaptığınız 2 eksende(sağa sola-yukarı aşşağı) dönen sistem gayet hoş ve yapılması kolay. Ben farklı bir mekanizma ile bunu yaparsam (örneğin dişli çark vesayre kullanarak) bu sizin hazırladığınız yazılım açısından bize bir sıkıntı doğurur mu? Yani demek istediğim bu kodlar sadece sizin tasarladığınız parçalara göre mi hareket etmekte?
    Eğer bu kodlar sadece bu mekanizma için çalışıyorsa kestiğiniz MDF Sheetlerin ölçülerindeki değişiklikler bir probleme yol açar mı?
    Son olarak sadece opencv eğitimi alarak bu sistemin yazılım kısmını halledebilir miyim? Siz bu işe nereden başladınız? Nasıl öğrendiniz?
    Bu konudaki fikirleriniz benim için çok önemli. Bitirme ödevi olarak böyle bir sistem yapmak ve eğer imkanım olursa bunu ciddi bir şekilde geliştirmek istiyorum.
    Saygılarımla
