Good afternoon Daniel, thank you for this but I have a very important question.
We didnât know we couldnât use a company account until I got my CAS so my dad had to move the money to his personal account and on the same day he got a form A to pay the full balance of my tuition, so whatâs in the account now is the money for maintenance. The 28th day of the POF will be 12th of January and my course start date is 9th January. Can I apply after my course start date?

Hello. So my school requires POF before i can get my CAS. I have the funds in my parents account but it hasnt bewn in the account for up to 28 days. It was initially complete but when we used oanda we realised we were short of some millions so they had to move money into the account
Can i still use the statement to apply for CAS and then print another one that I'll use for my Visa when the it has reached the required 28 days??

How do you calculate PoF for two years Course. Do you have to have the two year tuition fee for two year and upkeep for two year?
My POF wasnt up to the 28days required but the university has already given me a deadline to submit the POF, and it has just like one week for maturity date, what do i do in such situations
I'm doing a part time course (2 years) outside London, the tuition fee is ÂŁ8,600 per year (total amount is ÂŁ17,200) and my cas fee is ÂŁ3,500. Apart from the ÂŁ9,207 for expenses, do I subtract the cas fee from ÂŁ8,600 or ÂŁ17200 to get the amount to be in my proof of fund?
Incase you are applying for a two-year course are you suppose to show proof of funds for your tuition for the two years?
For a 2 years program, apart from the balance of the school fees, will the pof be 2 years too or 1 year

Mr. Daniel you just said something that got me. When I started my POF, the OandA rate was less than 500 and I calculated 522.5. Now I am ready to apply at it's about 525 and still going up. You said it was the rate that I started with the UKVI will consider. Pls can you talk more on this cus waiting another month for pof to mature and not being sure of the rate by the end of that month is still scary. People say it has to be the current rate when you apply. Thanks

Some schools require your PoF be in your account for 28days before CAS is issued, while some others do not.
UKVI requested for more than 28 days for my POF I.e they asked for the bank statement for the previous month before the 28 days although I have my complete 28 days and the opening balance for the previous month is not up to the amount requested for the Pof. What are the consequences of thjs?

The reason why it is advised in the first place to have a buffer amount of at least ÂŁ500 is because of currency fluctuations. The UKVI uses the rate as at when they are verifying, not when you started building your statement...
You yourself said in your previous POF videos that you added about a million naira extra just because of currency fluctuations.
Or has the requirements changed over time??
I have always advised people to add extra funds when building their POF

What he mearnt was that you can put in huge amount of money at once in short your whole funds for POF at once but the bank statement shouldnât show when that fund entered your account letâs say you put in 10 million on the 12th of august for POF your bank statement should start counting from 14th of august (ensure that you have an inflow or outflow during this period to make the day obvious on your POF) that way the source of the money wonât be visible on your bank statement

For a 2 year program, do you need the whole balance for the two years to be part of your POF?
It depends on the payment structure of your university.
If itâs a yearly payment then you need the balance of your first year tuition fee
Mine was the balance for my 2 year tuition fee

There is no but the amount going in and out of the account should be consistent

Hi Daniel, I am applying as a dependent. I started building my proof of fund on the 11/11/23 with 3,108,267.89 NGN(6120 GBP) and I keep on toping the fund so that it will not fall below the 6120 GBP. I hope i'm not making a mistake. Thank you.
If your balance ever went below the required funds, itâs good you restart count to be safe.
You canât top up funds each time rate goes higher.
The rate throughout the 28 days fund is held should always be more or equal to available balance on each day
@@moyinoluwatee347 with the way inflation is affecting naira, I top it up so that it doesn't go below the naira equivalent of 6120 GBP. My fear is that they may only consider my starting balance which at that time was a little above the naira equivalent of 6120 and not my current/closing balance which is above the required fund.
Donât risk a denial of your closing balance went below.
Have you gotten you CAS?
Go to your school payment portal and make a card payment of ÂŁ200-ÂŁ500 pound.
It would reduce the required amount you are to show in your statement which would make your current statement matchup.

I initiate my POF on the 2nd of November when Onda rate was 496 and I did 10m in my account but not the rate has increased which has affect my POF with increas of 230k and my POF is matured already pls what should I do ? The day you submit your visa application, that's the exchange rate they make use of so confirm the rate when you submit the application. To be safe always have more than needed

You will need to get a duly signed bank statement from your bank.
The duration must be at least 28days and you must use the statement within 31days after you got the statement from the bank

Hi, I have maintained my funds in my father's saving account. Although I have maintained the required amount, there's alot transactions happened in that account in the past 28 days. Would that be a problem?? And even after submiting the bank statement to university for CAS transaction happened... Any problem??
Closing balance : 81000 USD ~ 64000 pound
Required amount for uni is : 30000 pound.
Transaction happened around 1000 USD per week not more than that.
I carried a bulk transaction of 5 million for my fees, but that didn't affect my balance, I would love to know if it means anything provided i still have my available balance.
This cleared my curiousity, I'm dying already until I see this. My POF has matured for VISA and rate is now so up!! And I've been bothered.

Thanks so much. What are the step to take after receiving a visa refusal? I was inform the reason was that my financial institution was not reachable in which the school was able to verify the account but ukvi said they were not able to get feedback. I am about to go through the administrative review but I don't know the disadvantage of it... Pls ur sincere advice is highly needed

Administrative review is a very long process, it usually take over 3 monthsâŚ..
But if youâre patient enough to go through the rigorous process, you can fight the visa refusal
