- How to kill Grand Dragons at the beginning of the game.
- Quina needs Night, Limit Glove and Insomniac (learn from Coral Ring. Get it by letting Freya win the Hunt Festival). Antibody helps avoiding the Venom Breaths.
Get Night by eating a Nymph, which spawns on the grasslands at north of Cleyra/Sandstorm area (near the chocobo tracks).
Get Limit Glove eating a Mandragora at the forest north of the Chocobo Forest or eating an Axe Beak in the uplands area around Lindblum Castle, exiting through the Business District.
- Kill Quina and use Phoenix Down until s/he is back with just 1 HP. Find the dragon, cast Night to make it sleep (while your party is immune thanks to Insomniac), and spam Limit Glove.
Luck is also necessary so the Dragon dont attack Quina (or miss him/her) and dont throw a party wiping Thundaga.
Quina rocks!
Quina is easily the best character in the game.
The first time I played this game, I thought the moogle's warning is just a warning that we're supposed to ignore, because NPC tend to hype up the danger. After getting defeated by the grand dragon, I thought we're supposed to find a path forward without triggering the random battle, so I saved every few steps while finding a path. I was so confused why it seemed to be a dead end, had totally forgotten about the left path in the dungeon
Cool memory though right? Reminds me of a few of mine
Nice video. I never knew night worked on the grand dragon. That makes it so much easier.
It's dangerous outside kupo!
I AM THE DANGER "KUPO"!
I guess everyone died here at least once.
I think you can get lvl 5 death early on and use on them since they should be lvl 35
It's dangerous outside kupo
Me : dangerous is my middle name kupo
Grand dragon : dangerous is my first and last name
Yan : my birth certificate filled with dangerous
Ozma : I AM dangerous
Hades : you killed dangerous????
I killed grand dragon accidentally with Freya and jump. She just wouldn't come down and kept hitting. She got 20 levels lol
Coral ring, limit glove, and luck are all you need 😂
How do you get to the dragon early ?
It’s when you are heading to Burmecia through the tunnel. Find the moogles, climb the vegetal rope and here you are. If I remember correctly there is also a good monster here.
I gotta try this!
So it seems green dragons have less than 20k HP...
15k
Hi
I don’t really remember how I killed dragons at this stage, but it wasn’t this way. I remember a ton of skill points farming and maybe mirror? Plus coral ring and hoping for the dragon to use electro++ (thundararararara in english?) and bounce it back to it? Tell me if I remember correctly please~~~
Thundaga, I think
Yes! I remember the Coral Ring, and Reflect. And Vivi as a MUST to do damage, and Zidane with Speed Boost to heal/revive everybody.
Use lv5 death from quina
instant kill grand dragon
You can't learn Lvl5 death in the early game. Not until the 3rd cd with the blue Narciss
Why does mine keep missing?
1 hp on quina es needed + night.
OR On the PS4 remaster turn on the always DO 9999 damage cheat and it ONLY takes 2x 9999 HITS TO kill them.
@@veghesther3204 what's the point of leveling up if you cheat?
Because even at lv 99 Grand Cross can easily KILL you that's why even with the always do 9999 damage cheat if you can Kill the FINAL boss WITHOUT EVER seeing GC in the first place DO so and it only takes 2x 9999 hits to kill the Grand Dragons where as Limit glove even with 1 HP is NOT reliable AT all if they KILL Quina BEFORE its even used.
@@veghesther3204 I’m pretty sure you can easily beat Necron with levels around 50-60 (progressing naturally), and there’s no need for killing grand dragons to do it. That still doesn’t make sense to use cheats to do grinding (imo unless you go for late game side bosses, there’s no need to grind almost at all). Like if you don’t want to play a game and overcome slight struggles that come with it (which is the natural part of any game), you can just go and watch a play through on CZcams
