I'm the same I lean more towards PVE.. but PVP would be awesome too once getting the hang of the game and learning it maybe a different take on it. Like only designated events you have the option to play PVP and win specific rewards and stuff for competing in it having faction wars that would be pretty cool. Or where the factions can team up and fight AI 🤔

100% agree with you some milsim units are not welcoming at all but I found BTAC and they are some of the nicest guys ever. If your in australia definitely check them out otherwise you will have to try search for a good one and join they're discord and see if they seem nice
Milsim groups are usually low on the intelligence totem pole. I spent 5 years as an infantryman with combat time, over 2 of those years in a direct leadership role (steam and squad leading) and have had 'milsim' groups say I wasn't 'qualified' to be a part of them (as far as groups go) because I don't understand combat 🤣 which I taught and performed IRL. Even I switched to Tarkov single player because I prefer realism over run and gun call of duty style gameplay (which even happens in Tarkov). This game will be a day one grab for me
@raymarshall6721 same boat mate been in the army for 7 years as infantry however no actual combat but then done some PMC work overseas which was a lot more experience lol I definitely didn't want to go strict milsim as there is a reason I left the regimental life lol but this group I'm playing with now a lot of them are still in and we play semi realistic and have fun
I just hope they incorporate a "heat map", where you can see the player engagements. It would be even better if the engagements only left a signature on the map when other players of NPCs see/detect these engagements.
Reminds me of how the stalker AI will point out nearby gunfights and the likes. That would be really dope to be able to check logs and such for fights.

I maintain that there needs to be some way to tell if someone is part of your faction other than getting close enough to see a patch or something. An idea I thought of is that each faction has a safe word and response that changes every 30 minutes or so, that only players from that faction can see on their tablet or as part of their map.
@@TimmyTacticalcommon way to regonice friends and foes on the battelfield is shown at the moment in Ukraine. The Ukrains fight with a blue tape on the helmet, armsleve ect. Should be easy to implement that every faction have a fixed color.
@1AngryPanda unfortunately for those with colour vision impairment this is not always enough. I cannot distinguish certain colours from one another as I am colour blind.

@@TimmyTactical Have you personally seen natural examples of the AI behavior? I've heard them describe it but AI is something that very very few companies get right. I would be shocked if a team this small is able to pull off believable AI anything close to what they are describing, but hopefully they can.
Over the past 5 years, I've learned to never have high expectations for any game, wether that's Indi or AAA, but I can't help but feel GZW will deliver on all it's promises - open dev cycle/feature releases, they've invested in making sure gameplay/gunplay are all solid by pulling in SF/Millitary advisors - so I'm going against my own grain, and I'm going to say I feel GZW will deliver. I can't remember the last time a game came out which I was actually excited for...
I'm loving ready or not brother!! It's fighting mechanics are awesome it's not a game you can grind but it's a game you can jump on at anytime for a few hours and have an absolute blast

Looking forward to this, just hope they dont cave into streamers and dumb the game down like tarkov. No zero gravity jumping like tarkov, no being able to buy everything from traders like tarkov, no magical injectors. If you lose a good kit in game you shouldnt be able to just rebuy it, then when you find something good in raid it actually feels good.
I don't think they will. The game is heavily influenced by advisors that are ex SOF. And the lead developer wants a flea market but won't bring one in untill he can solve the issue with people turning into a buy sell game

SCUM died because of its very annoying micromanagement system of health, and very little to do outside of PvP, which was handled better in other games.
Warframe does something similar with the certification method of progression (it does still use linear level-ups in addition) and I've always found it very satisfying. Super excited for beta!
GREYZONE, in Vietnam war they had crazy booby traps where they dig the ground and put a cartridge into a small cleared out bamboo stick with a pin stuck up right and the cartridge carefully seated ontop on the pin. So when anyone steps on it itll go off and wound american soldiers, and or even spikes and big pointy sticks unders fixed bridges, "fixed bridges" is a bridges made by Vietnamese troops to make it look accessible but as soon as they walk over, fixed bridges would break and under the water you enter will be large spikes waiting for anyone that dips into the water. They also had small 1-2 men underground hide outs, spread all over fields.
The thing I’m curious about is how they are going to do the damage values, are they based on calibers? Shot placements with actual organ failure? Would be cool to see this kind of thing
So keen for this. I’m a Hell Let Loose man, but I dabble in modern tactical.. a bit of ready or not and insurgency sandstorm.I’ve also tried tarkov but it was too hard and didn’t really hit the spot for me. This seems fresh in visuals and gameplay, just gotta get a mad squad together 🧐
Hopefully the PvE is extensive, with strongholds, Raids with maybe even EFT level "goons" difficulty enemies there, roaming sniper AIs in the mountain jungles would look sick and be spooky to walk around, also booby traps randomly laid around the map would be very sick as well. Many things they can do here honestly, if were talking "realism" like they want todays PMC to feel like, DRONES and tech like that ARE USED in todays WARFARE. Many many things they can do differently from Tarkov and im excited to hear they also have plans for "Base building/construction" and i hope it would be on the level of indepth that Tarkov's Hideout is and maybe even more useful for when your in the map, on the ground, which i think is the camp feature they were talking about for those small FOBs you can takeover around the map for short times, so could be fun, I hope we dont get rained with guns and loot, like they said the market doesnt want to just become "i need cash now" kinda gameplay so i hope they have scarce loot and fun gameplay, and GUNPLAY needs to be perfect as well, from what we have seen so far it does need some work, but hopefully overtime it does get ALOT heavier/smooter with recoil and such. I mean hell Tarkov JUST got usable recoil lmao, so im excited to see this come Q1, should be by the end by March! (not April :P)

I'm so hyped for this game! I've been excited for someone to take on the whole world of mercenaries and actually create a fun and tactical game that doesn't require me to like mod Arma 3 or something to get the experience and obviously with more enjoyable features.
I like hard stuff that feels realistic like you are in there, there is SO missing of players of this kind and also of games, infact I tend to modify the way I play sometime games like Ghost Recon Wildlands and put house rules as no HUD and other stuff like fast traveling forbidden or other things and just enjoy the immersion. I like the fact you will not be able to shoot without thinking, this is SOOO missing in games and also other stuff like immersive punishment taht push in various direction your story. For me mechanics of a game need to interact with the story this is a must. Good also the idea to assault the safe house and also as a very hard thing.. with dangerous outcomes. this is very good stuff. Like a sort of "all in". The thing is I want also permadeath: sure you can still play the game if you die, but it must be like your character dies. Regarding all the things I hear, very good, and regarding trading (I am not a trading addict player) I think they could allow for players to exchange stuff if they meet .. with a barter table there on the spot where people can check condition of an item etc.. and even one can shoot the other if htey wanna betray them and use that as a trap.. that can be the realistic trading going on... Or maybe visit a FOB (like Tarkov videogame BOOK is about in the first chapters... same thing.. you reach a place, situation is very tense, you cannot bring weapons in.. but people at a FOB \ trader spot can actually kill u if they want and then you get out and you are ambush-able, you can be attacked.. as you move out of the FOB-trader spot .. until you reach your extraction or you keep surviving in the map... THis would be the way I would make trading (an immersion booster, realistic, no stupidy fiddling with stuff).

Team-killing option being “disabled” during Early Access is incorrect. You will absolutely be able to be kill people on your own team, just not while inside a Forward Operating Base.
For clarity, why end of April? Does their Q1 start in Feb? If we're going by Jan 1 start, it's the end of March for Q1. Gov fiscal year starts in October, so it could be a different Q1 starting month. Just wondering.

With the gaming industry saturated with FPS games, a game like this would not hold up well without multi platform and cross play. FPS games tend to do better when they are launched on multiple platforms with controller support

I used to play and have fun with SPT since regular tarkov's pvp pissed me off, so maybe a game like that with a pve focus will get me into this realistic shooter genre. I just found out about this game, and although I am excited, I'll keep my hype on the down low. Definitely going to play it though
So wait. Is this like a PVPVE or like a player vs Ai period? No other players on the map with you and your teammates are ai? Either way (or having two separate server types) would be good but I hope they make it so pvp isn’t the main focus on pvpve servers
So they're doing a PVE where you won't be able to do any pvp and a completely different server that is PVEVP so it's you vs AI with the potential to run into and kill or be friends with other players
@ifoundmemallet3394 unconfirmed but im pretty sure the PVE is coop and it would be silly to not have other players on the map because it will make for amazing story line interactions

The thing I’m curious about is how they are going to do the damage values, are they based on calibers? Shot placements with actual organ failure? Would be cool to see this kind of thing
It does take into all ballistics when it calculates damage. This system has never been tried and I can't wait to test it out

Hopefully the PvE is extensive, with strongholds, Raids with maybe even EFT level "goons" difficulty enemies there, roaming sniper AIs in the mountain jungles would look sick and be spooky to walk around, also booby traps randomly laid around the map would be very sick as well. Many things they can do here honestly, if were talking "realism" like they want todays PMC to feel like, DRONES and tech like that ARE USED in todays WARFARE. Many many things they can do differently from Tarkov and im excited to hear they also have plans for "Base building/construction" and i hope it would be on the level of indepth that Tarkov's Hideout is and maybe even more useful for when your in the map, on the ground, which i think is the camp feature they were talking about for those small FOBs you can takeover around the map for short times, so could be fun, I hope we dont get rained with guns and loot, like they said the market doesnt want to just become "i need cash now" kinda gameplay so i hope they have scarce loot and fun gameplay, and GUNPLAY needs to be perfect as well, from what we have seen so far it does need some work, but hopefully overtime it does get ALOT heavier/smooter with recoil and such.
I mean hell Tarkov JUST got usable recoil lmao, so im excited to see this come Q1, should be by the end by March! (not April :P)

I like hard stuff that feels realistic like you are in there, there is SO missing of players of this kind and also of games, infact I tend to modify the way I play sometime games like Ghost Recon Wildlands and put house rules as no HUD and other stuff like fast traveling forbidden or other things and just enjoy the immersion.
I like the fact you will not be able to shoot without thinking, this is SOOO missing in games and also other stuff like immersive punishment taht push in various direction your story.
For me mechanics of a game need to interact with the story this is a must. Good also the idea to assault the safe house and also as a very hard thing.. with dangerous outcomes. this is very good stuff. Like a sort of "all in".
The thing is I want also permadeath: sure you can still play the game if you die, but it must be like your character dies.
Regarding all the things I hear, very good, and regarding trading (I am not a trading addict player) I think they could allow for players to exchange stuff if they meet .. with a barter table there on the spot where people can check condition of an item etc.. and even one can shoot the other if htey wanna betray them and use that as a trap..
that can be the realistic trading going on... Or maybe visit a FOB (like Tarkov videogame BOOK is about in the first chapters... same thing.. you reach a place, situation is very tense, you cannot bring weapons in.. but people at a FOB \ trader spot can actually kill u if they want and then you get out and you are ambush-able, you can be attacked.. as you move out of the FOB-trader spot .. until you reach your extraction or you keep surviving in the map...
THis would be the way I would make trading (an immersion booster, realistic, no stupidy fiddling with stuff).

I imagine the next ghost recon to be like this but with some door interaction similar to Ready or Not. Its def possible casue RB6 Vegas 2 had it over 10 years ago. Doesnt look like Grey Matter has doors either.

With the gaming industry saturated with FPS games, a game like this would not hold up well without multi platform and cross play. FPS games tend to do better when they are launched on multiple platforms with controller support
I think it's a little more unique though like an mmo feel with central trading hub etc not a normal fps by any means

I used to play and have fun with SPT since regular tarkov's pvp pissed me off, so maybe a game like that with a pve focus will get me into this realistic shooter genre. I just found out about this game, and although I am excited, I'll keep my hype on the down low. Definitely going to play it though

So wait. Is this like a PVPVE or like a player vs Ai period? No other players on the map with you and your teammates are ai? Either way (or having two separate server types) would be good but I hope they make it so pvp isn’t the main focus on pvpve servers
So they're doing a PVE where you won't be able to do any pvp and a completely different server that is PVEVP so it's you vs AI with the potential to run into and kill or be friends with other players
