    Hi mate, do you know the size of the bolt inside that you need to hold to release the damper rod?

    • @2strokemxclassics
      @2strokemxclassics  Před rokem +1

      It's the same size as a swinging arm bolt m8 19or 21 mm whatever the swingarm bolt is

    The washer that's goes on top of the dust seal and under the clip is it needed mine don't have them and I can't find any on the fowlers website

    • @2strokemxclassics
      @2strokemxclassics  Před 3 lety +1

      I've had them with the washer and with it missing only thing I could see it do if missing is let the dust seal move up towards the circlip as when its on and the circlips on its a tight fit it keeps the dust seal pushed down m8

      M8 I will check tommorow and see if the washers that's available on cmsl and fowlers what u drive the top Bush in with (with the flat side and rounded side) are same width as top washer if you get this meesage remind me on tommorow

    • @nickyjenkins5381
      @nickyjenkins5381 Před 3 lety

      If those washers above the bushing are the same I might have spare ones on a broken set of forks

    Someone else asked about the washer's under the clip, do you know if they can be bought anywhere? Need to buy clips anyway.

    • @2strokemxclassics
      @2strokemxclassics  Před 2 lety

      I don't think they make them anymore m8 it be best to buy a cheap set of rusty forks just for the washer

      @@2strokemxclassics Thanks a lot, is there somewhere to get a parts list to go through? Amazing how much stuff some people get wrong, some really shouldn't be allowed spanner's without supervision.

    • @2strokemxclassics
      @2strokemxclassics  Před 2 lety

      Yeah m8 just go onto fowlers website, it's number 7 and number 3 on the forks diagram m8 put year 2002 cos some times if you put 1991 the bits aren't listed

      @@2strokemxclassics Excellent, parts lists are handy. Are you confident the bottom washer fits on top seems odd they would have a different part number if the same size.

    nice one m8, i've rounded off one of my fork bolts b4, i tried using extension bars to hold the damnper :-( didn't think of using the rear wheel spindle, did you need to modify the spindle bolt to hold / fit inside?
