      Yeah, they're pretty decent, cheap okay fast chariots.

  • @OldWorldOracle

    For The Empire:
    - The Empire also has the war altar as a heavy chariot;
    - You might not want to take the long rifle on the engineer in the tank, as a model can only make 1 shooting attack per turn (so its either shooting the cannon or the long rifle). I guess the only upgrade for the engineer that could make some sense is the repeater pistol, to give it 3 quickshot stand and shoot hits;
    - When rolling a double 1 on steam points you cannot move anymore, so you don't add that 1 to your movement either. You can still shoot the cannon though;
    - Agreed that a tank might not always get its 300 points back, but it's also 300 points that are very hard to kill for your opponent, which definitely adds to its value as well.

      @MalignMusings  Před 3 dny +1

      Your last point is why I've put this and the iron daemon in s tier, like they add to your points differential. The war altar is a monstrous mount.
      On the long rifle, I don't think it's clear that you can't shoot it and the cannon as the chariot is shooting the cannon, and the engineer as a crew is shooting the long rifle, but I admit, your interpretation could be correct as a unit has to use one weapon unless stated otherwise so...

      @OldWorldOracle Před 3 dny

      Thanks for your reply!
      Agreeing on your points, except the war altar most definitely is a heavy chariot though. However, it can indeed only be picked as a character’s mount.

    lion chariot is a very good mount for a prince though with the white sword (monster slayer, S7 AP-2), especially as you can screen it with shadow warriors with chariot runners and feigned flight....which are admittedly pretty useless apart from that purpose.

  • @BEASTAAIN
    @BEASTAAIN Před 6 dny +2

    I wouldn't put the Beastmen chariots in S-tier, but both are pretty good. I would put Tuskgor above the Razorgor due to it being core and a cheapish defensive tool for characters. Tuskgor Chariot also has Warband for rerolling charges which is greatly beneficial for a model that doesn't have Swiftstride. It's pretty likely to hit max range charges due to that rule (4/6).
    Razorgor Chariot as a mount also gains Warband though. A BSB on top can deliver +3CR and 8 hard hitting attacks with AP2 or better, plus the D6+2 impact hits for the same amount of points as a naked Doombull (DB is too expensive, but that's another discussion). As a mount it's a bit expensive compared to other factions flying monsterous mounts.

    • @MalignMusings
      @MalignMusings  Před 5 dny

      I suppose it depends on how you use them. I played against Mark Wildman a bit ago and they way he was using them was devastating, almost impossible to counter.

    What about the Plague Furnace and the Screaming Bell for Skaven? Both Chariots. Personally think the Furnace has potential. Bell buffs are too random and generally not useful enough.

    • @Jimmyjazz1414
      @Jimmyjazz1414 Před 6 dny +1

      (Death hags excluded)

    • @MalignMusings
      @MalignMusings  Před 5 dny

      Disagree, the bell and furnace I did as monstrous mounts, they don't really function as chariots. The Cauldron is okay if you're going for a heavy witch elf build as if you take multiple you can spam 5+ ward saves until they get into combat and then multiple attacks with poisoned weapons and strike first should be able to do some damage.

    I like the "route one" reference. Maybe a crossover video of football and warhammer tactics? Which army plays 3 at the back and hoofs it (dwarfs), who's playing 4-3-3 tiki taka (wood elves?), who's gegenpressing and causing mayhem (beastmen?). Who's the Tony Pulis/Sean Dyche 4-4-2 brexit ball, khorne chaos?

    • @MalignMusings
      @MalignMusings  Před 5 dny

      And cumbersome, so it's -2 to hit if it moves, bit of a wierd chariot really, It's a slightly bad bolt thrower or a slightly bad chariot. Three of them is okay, but then you kinda need some shades to hide behind and then you're leaning into building your army in a very particular manner.
