wot has nothing to do with putin. Im still playing, and if you enjoy it play as well. it would be sad if wot died because of putin, especially if wargaming fired a director that supported the invasion…
Just because its made by Belarusian company, do not mean that WG support the war. They just want to make games, they don't want be political. They also have Ukrainian employees too.

I know it doesn't have anything to do with Putin, but it is a belarusian company. The fact they still didn't make a statement, are censoring the forums, are creating shameful events on the day of russian aggresion, makes me reconsider whether I want to play that game. Definitely I will think twice before spending any more money on it. And they will need money from EU as russian rubel is worth shit right now.
My only purchase to WG was worth it, a M4 plushie, don’t think they sell them anymore

Well believe it or not he isn't being brave because he's a content creator. You realize that his wife is Russian and that his wife's family is in Russia right? Do you know Russia's history when it comes to people speaking out about the current leader in power when they live in the region? Drop the content creator stuff from this.

Don't they live in Belarus? Yes, it's an Eastern block country, but I sincerely doubt they wanted war and all of it's impacts. The majority of Russians likely prefer the same - they hope for an improved economy, not crimpling sanctions designed to strangle the economy. Which puts Putin in an uncomfortable position. The Russian oligarchs are losing money, where money = power. I hope Putin has put himself on an island, internally as well as internationally, and that this will lead to his demise. The world has changed President Putin. Neither Lenin nor Stalin tactics can help you now.

I am all with the friendly Ukrainian people, but their government did not stop attacking russian countries in the east and it is logical that Russia stepped in to intervene.

The Excalibur: Interestingly, a vehicle that actually existed (was supposed to be an air-deployable vehicle, similar to the French AMXs) but, and here's the catch, actually had a 105 mm howitzer instead of a 76 mm cannon as portrayed in the game. And it would have been easy enough to implement it as such a derpy vehicle, as it was historically supposed to fire HESH and HEAT rounds. Its armor was made of aluminium in order to keep it light, and it would also have been capable of firing Swingfire ATGMs - quite a multitool, that vehicle. The design was scrapped in the end, though.

2:20 You gotta remember that WG has an office in Kyiv too, so basically staffs on all side of the conflict. Honestly I suspect they can't afford to ignore such a strong statement. And I'm glad they did not. Tho I did not expect them to flat out fire him when I heard about it.

It's like you said in one of your 'Best Moments' videos: when the Excalibur turns it's gun fully to one side it looks like it's judging tanks driving next to it harshly over it's shoulder.

"E25 is busted" and then you see the E25 in this game and you get reminded no matter how busted a tank is, if the driver's a bot, they won't do well in it.
thats why i say wot is not pay to win. Obviously it can help, but thats the same dor everything in this world, same for ice hockey etc… However the deciding factor will still remain skill, not the tanks…
@@Hermelin.G1 Exactly. I can tell you I've seen PLENTY of sub 1800dpg chieftains lately with the new releases of them. They all thought it was going to be an "easy tank". Yet they barely have half of my DPG in it. (I even somehow have an higher DPG of 3.8k in my 50B than my chieftain.)
It's insane how the WoT community mid to low skill players are an echo chamber. They downvote everything the good players tell them just to get their argument across.

@@plumfish4765 yeah shure, it can lead to frustration if a somewhat good player uses a chieftain or a 279 e. However, with teamplay you can take them down! And its so satisfying if you outplay strong tanks.
I've seen plenty of cases where a bot would probably perform better than the player.

I've been playing mine as a slower light tank. Passive scouting boss with right crew skills, mods, and gear. Obviously not the best but still really good.

While I think the Achilles is a better tank than the Excaliber, she's still quite fun to play. I've had several excellent matches acting first as a support TD for my mediums or heavies, and then swapping to a fast flanking playstyle once the enemy team starts breaking apart. The Achilles' 17 lber is a more dependable gun, but the speed and gun depression of the Excaliber makes her more useful in the late game.
No need to apologize for being human QB; and I find your stance on the whole situation commendable. I hope Peppy's family is safe.

Don’t feel force to play them. But it’s alright if you play them aswell :) Playing them doesnt mean you support russia, remember that!
Don't feel anymore bad about it than you do about playing German tanks used by the Nazis - it's a machine, a tool; it's the way that it's used that gives it significance.

discussing WoT's in general. Do you have ANY pull whatsoever on them getting feedback on NERFING PREMIUM ROUNDS.
Reducing them to 10/20% of total amount has always been my suggestion but reducing there alpha to 20/30% BELOW standard rounds looks like it would work as well. The second suggestion would still keep WG in the money for people who spam Premium but it makes it less OP. And the first suggestion would all but guarantee EVERYONE, including those that don't now, would start using the limited amount as it would seem more inline with tactical gameplay.

Hi mate. I haven't watched any of your stuff for a little while, but I've been playing WOTs for eight years on xbox. I felt a bitr strange about the russian tanks and some of the symbols and flags I was seeing people using in game after the invasion, but when I spoke to anyone about it on facebook groups or anything, I didn't get a good reception, so I'm made up to see that you made an announcement about it. I wish I'd seen it sooner.
I bought the Excalibur this morning because I had some spare gold and I love weird, quirky british vehicles. I have a Churchill Gun Carrier with a MOE on - that's got to be quite rare?! lol My name in the game is the same as here 'graemepryce' so feel welcome to have a look at my stats or anything - I'm not fibbing. The Churchill GC and TOGII* are my favourite vehicles.
I'm definitely going to get back into watching your videos anyway and this one will certainly help me get the best out o the Excalibur. You deserve a medal of excellence for your videos and channel. 🤣
