The new "Legends of the Dead" DLC introduces a load of new features in CK3, including the dreaded plagues, ruler legitimacy, and of course... the ability to forge a legend! Starting as the ill-fated Harold Godwinson, we have a chance to prove ourselves not only a true defender of the realm and the uniter of England, but we can even declare ourselves the heir to Arthur Pendragon himself!

22:00 Given that there is an achievement for finishing a Legend your ancestor started, I think your heir would have been able to keep pushing that their dad was the heir to Arthur.
but in this case, it MIGHT have not worked since the heir ended up being the nephew instead of son.... although that probably dont actually matter

15:36 The reason it says "Of Godwin" is because a few of the default houses start with hidden prefixes like "of" or "von" before their name. If you were to edit the house, the prefix would appear and you could remove it if you wanted. Or if you wanted the prefix, it would be permanently there now so your character would just have a weird "Of Godwin" as their house name. I don't know why they wouldn't make it a toggled option to add/hide a prefix or perhaps allow players to set a prefix themselves. This has been a thing since release.
I wouldn't mind a full playthrough of this new DLC with King Pravus onscreen.

@@danny8231all of the oldest records of stories involving King Arthur are Welsh, the stories usually take place around the 5th-7th century, when Britain was a mess of Warlords.
The Candidtates that the Aurthurian stories take inspiration from are Riothamus, King of the Britons, Ambrosius Aurelianus, a leader with claim to Roman heritage and possibly led the fight at Badon Hill, and a bunch of others like Lucius Artorius Castus or King Urien of Rheged.
@@danny8231 you should read The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell. Pretty good series about this legend.

You can spread your legend much faster and across many more baronies by befriending the Holy Roman emperor or the Byzantine Emperor and then asking him to promote your legend for you in his lands.

I understand that they want people to experience their "new" mechanic, but not everything was a plague.

The reason you didn’t know about Brutus founding London after the siege of Troy is that there is one small problem with that legend. It is total bollocks. It was however the British origin story in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s “history” The History of the Kings of Britain published in the early 1100’s. That is the same source that the English kings used to claim descent from Ambrosius via Arthur Pendragon.
The 350 gold to pay a “scholar” to make a load of shit up and “find” some ancient documents is very Middle Ages.

Pretty sure you can disable plagues in Game Rules. Also, God forbid we get a mechanic that actually makes the game more difficult instead of less...
