  • Electrical engineers are often challenged to design electrical rooms that not only meets codes and standards, but that is also designed to fit in increasingly compact spaces. In such projects, Electrical Engineers are tasked with coming up with designs that utilize small-sized components without compromising performance, reliability, and the ever increasing need to be efficient and sustainable.
Designing for reduced footprint of electrical equipment can also play a major role in cost reduction (both capex and opex) as well as infrastructure flexibility. The application of new technologies, intelligent components, and design architectures greatly reduces footprint while also providing enhanced value to the end user.
This presentation will discuss various methods of footprint reduction for both LV and MV equipment including strategies beyond using smaller equipment.
