To be fair, breeding those two normally produces a bigger dragon, but the tower bosses aren't supposed to exist, so they kind of give you a default "bad egg" kind of result, or at least that's my guess as to of why they gave him a Chikipi. Because they technically aren't really a Grizzbolt or Orserk, but something completely different by the game's rules, and the species all have a code that is compared and combined together when breeding to determine what it gives you. I guess Chikipi is probably the first in that particular string, so that's what it gave him as the two he bred don't have a value of that nature assigned to them, so yeah. Like, it takes the average between the two numbers, so a 1 and a 3 will make a 2, but two 1s make another 1, meaning breeding two of the same pals will result in more of the same species. Grizzbolt and Orserk normally make Astegon, if anyone was curious, but since the bosses don't share the value of the normal ones, and likely do not have a value at all in the breeding code, they are both assigned a value of 1, meaning 1 and 1 makes a Chikipi.
@Going4Broke2528 chikipi has a number of like 150000 as the weakest in breeding. The tower houses are 999999 or something like that so no matter what you breed them with it equates to chikipi. The stronger the regular pals are the lower the number.

There are two boss only moves in the game at the moment. Dark Whisp from Victor/Shadowbeak (best and overpowered Dark skill in the game). As well as Multicutter from Lily/Lyleen (not so broken, but is still a very good Grass skill). The only other skills you can get through breeding only is Tocotoco's Megaton Implode, Poison Fog (found on both Lily/Lyleen, Vaelet and Cinnamoth) and the commonly found Dark Ball skill (found on almost any Dark Pal...). These 5 skills cannot be gotten from skill fruits but CAN be passed down through breeding).
As far as your breeding of tower bosses. Breed them with anything other than one or two specific combinations and you will get a Chikipi. This is just because how breeding works in Palworld.
Pals have a number assigned to them (rarer pals have a smaller number). When you breed to pals, you add these two hidden breed numbers together and divide by 2. This is what then determines which pal you will get as a child.
Because of the number assigned to the Tower Bosses, it will always end up as a Chikipi other than in a couple specific scripted situations where "this pal" and "that pal" will always make said child pal.
So you getting a Chikipi is a widely known conclusion.
As for stats, a Tower Boss has an insane special HP modifier that cannot be passed down through breeding. So you'll get nothing special out of that.
Sadly 2 of the tower bosses don't have special skills, so there isn't any point in using them for breeding (gameplay wise).

Yes. Capture the Pal in question. Equip your Meat Cleaver. Butcher the Pal, but at the last moment Mount it instead. (Obviously need to have a saddle.)
You will end up not killing the Pal, but getting the drops, and can repeat the process as often as necessary until you get the Legendary Schematic drop you need.
I expect that will be patched soonish

Be warned that the pal will want to constantly fall through the floor afterwards (personal experience from xbox)
It will still ruin the pal don’t use it on a pal with good traits just use a basic boss

So the way that breading works is that every Pal in the game has a number assigned to it that is meant to represent its rarity and when figuring out what Pal you get from the resulting egg the game, provided they are different Pals, adds up their numbers and divides it by 2 giving you the Paldex number of the Pal in the egg.
The reason you get a Chikipi is because tower bosses have a rarity of 0 and Chikipi's are the first entry in the Paldex so the games defaults to them.
You can breed tower bosses with their own kind to get another one but if you breed them with anything else they produce a chickpi. You can breed the tower specific powers into their normal versions. I have a Shadowbeak with Dark Rift that is exclusive to the Victor and Shawdowbeak boss.

Not entirely true. There is a list of breeding combinations that don't use the standard formula. For example, if you breed lyleen and menasting, you get lyleen noct. You can replace lyleen with _Lily & Lyleen_ and you'll still get lyleen noct. The list can be found on both Palworld wikis (on fandom wiki, it's list of special combinations under the breeding page, and on wiki gg, it is called Unique Combination Breeding on the Breeding page).
But essentially there are 4 combinations of tower boss that don't result in chikipi or their own species.
The others are:
Shadowbeak + Jormuntide = Helzephyr
Shadowbeak + Helzephyr = Cryolinx
Grizzbolt + Mossanda = Mossanda Lux
Do any of their extremely busted stats pass down? Theoretically, could I breed Zoe's Grizzbolt with a normal one to get one with busted hp and attack, then breed the stats into other things from there, or is that not how that works?

Get Victor and Shadowbeak Tower boss it has a Move called "Dark Whisp" you can teach that to any pal using chikipi as base it's the most powerful dark move in the game for any non-shadowbeak pal, I put on a daedream and katress and they out DPS my legendaries
Both Lyleen and Shadowbeak have boss-exclusive moves and they can be passed down to offspring.
Which skill does the lyleen boss have? I just finished passing Dark Whisp to all my dark types after a serious grind lol

Cade you can turn up your pal appearance rate up to 3x, giving you 3 chances on drops a day.
Apparently this was patched by accident 😂
The developers never intended for you to catch the literal strongest possible enemy in the game. So, of course, the breeding values are equal to that of a CHICKEN.

The exclusive attack skills that you can breed from bosses are Dark Wisp from Viktor and Shadowbeak and Multi Cutter from Lily and Lyleen. Also there's a bug where you can butcher your mountable Pal so you can get the drop again but right before the animation is complete you mount your Pal and they don't die and you still get the drop. Already got several of the legendary schematics that way. The Pal will bug out and be ragged doll and you might some of the pixelation from the butchering stuck on your screen but just go put the pal back in the pal box and it gets rid of it.
If you upgrade a tower boss with the souls in the statue of power you can increase their hp to a ridiculous amount

Fun fact: Grizzbolt is actually the rarest pal (in terms of spawn chance).

Tip for using Zoe and grizzbolt:when you are done unloading your minigun you can drop and pick up your Zoe and grizzbolt and use the minigun again (this also works for jetfuel and the missile launcher in jetdragon)

It's worth noting that most breeding combinations follow a formula, and a few are set. For example, you bred mossanda with rayhound to get grizzbolt, that one is a set combination. Any set combination that uses the same species as a tower boss can use a tower boss as a substitute and it won't result in chikipi. For example, if you breed grizzbolt with mossanda you get mossanda lux, but you can substitute the normal grizzbolt with Zoe & Grizzbolt and still get mossanda lux.

You can farm mountable pals for drops when you butcher them. That's what I decided on when I didn't get a legendary shotgun after 50 tries. And then needed over 100 more. You just need to get the timing right, around the end of the second swing animation of the butchering. It might bug you underground but you can keep butchering. Now I'm fully legendary and still have 2 mil cash from the accumulated drops after spending so much on amo and mats.
Tower bos with same type pal (i.e Victor and Shadowbeak with another Shadowbeak) can give the same pal with Boss moves . The best two bosses to pass down the Exclusive moves are Lily and Lyleen (multicutter) and Victor and Shadowbeak (Dark Whisp).

There is an easier way to get the schematics yes, if you have the saddle for something you are butchering you can mount it with the right timing as you finish the second swing and it will drop the resources but keep the pal alive. Rinse and repeat until you get the legendary schematics 🎉

Make the most overpowered day dream pal. If you craft the daydreams necklace the pal stays out either you always which means you can have more then two pals out at once
I had it bug a few times and the daedreams would use their attacks on my pal that I would throw out. Got annoying. And always in the way when building and have to put them away

Incorrect. IVs are random when created either in the wild or from an egg. All pals tend toward the average.

Cade there is a glitch where you have infinite balls. All you need to do have what every ball you want and have your mount die when your holding the ball. And you’ll have infinite balls
