    Just suggesting to find purchases I think of the Trading Account to find Cost of Sales= Opening Stock + Purchases - Closing Inventory = COS. Use the Receivables and payables control T account to locate receipts and payments.

    So interesting video, thank you so much. I had a question about taking the dividend in the additional information and do not take the interest expenses of 8000 in the additional information. But, I think that you took the dividend 'coz the year is 2018 (current year), while the interest expense does not have year, it's means, we paid it last year 2017 if I am not mistaken. Just clarify me that idea, please. The rest of the exercise was clear and easy to understand. just practice and more practice.
    Thank so much and I will find the indirect method now to understand both.

    Why is cash paid for dividends in the operating activities and not the financing activities? I thought when dealing with equity it would be a financing activity

      From the video and the lecturers explanation he considered the interest expense in the operating activities and also considered items that are in the equity and liabities side at the financing activities
