Eric paid that money back. And it was Stephanie's father that loaned Eric the money. Let's not forget Eric's true love was Beth Logan Brooke's mother. That's what started the fued with Brooke and Stephanie. Stephanie had and affair with Massimo when she was with Eric got pregnant and said it was Eric. That's why he left Beth Logan.

He didn't trust Eric and seeing how he hides the trust, from Stephanie, he was right. He knew that Eric was just using Stephanie so he wanted to protect his daughter. If Eric had any brains, he would have told Stephanie about it a long time ago and she would have signed it over to him or at least go half and half. The Massimo story was a rewrite. There are a couple of story lines that show where if Ridge wasn't Eric's son it would have came out. Bradley Bell wants everyone to be related! Look at the current cast. The only people that aren't related to the e major families, are Sally(she actually had 2 cousins married to Thorne) and Zoe(and she was almost a Forrester. Everyone else is related to one way or another.
