I've been saying this since the season started, especially depending on the gun you run in the sling. Re-45 gets free digi and with them coming off smgs now is so good
I do this with my friends when we get bored. We ask Siri to pick a random number and that is the legend that it chose for us to use. Then the first two guns that we find on the ground are the guns we stick with the whole game. Gotten some wins doing this, it’s a ton of fun.
If you run ballistic and conduit with a revenant you are basically running a hyper carry team

He pairs well with current aggro meta, and quality of life changes to his sling weapon and ult make him a lot more viable, however, they took away a lot of power from his tactical, so you'll have to learn NOT to rely on it anymore.
Also, he brings a ton of complexity with his passive, which can give serious decision paralysis if you're unprepared. Choosing which weapons are better left in sling, which to carry normally, juggling up to 3 different ammo types - all this adds cognitive load to an already very complicated game.
Makes sense why people are reluctant on maining him.
What happened to his tactical?

@@zrATT_ the difference between not being able to shoot for 2 seconds and for only 1 is very noticable, that alone won 1v1s before the nerf. In my experience it's best use is for finishing low hp enemies that try to run away to cover.
I started playing Ballistic the day he was released and at this point have more kills with him than anyone else, although I switched to Conduit last season so not sure what I'm gonna do from here.

A nice buff for Ballistic’s ultimate only would be to use all healing items either 0.5 or 0.6 faster😏, now that would be interesting😂.

Hemlock uses so much ammo in burst mode, it's super important to utilize single fire at range. You use way less ammo and often do more damage. At range in burst you end up wasting more bullets.

Got stuck in Plat and it’s quite disheartening after loosing hundreds of RP, but it’s my first time really trying ranked and I’ll hopefully break through; just like how you’ll get to Pred one day.
His Ult goes hard, my buddy plays him and I always have way too much ammo because I pick it up thinking I wasted a bunch when in reality we had infinite ammo the whole fight. That and the fast reloads and movement speed is so good

When I play Ballistic usually run the Havoc in the sling

personally i go with the rampage
I started using devotion recently it's really good especially in close range(hipfire a must)

He's my main since last season, very fun to play and the RE-45 with free digi is just OP. Or you can change things up by trying other weapons on sling (havoc is also very OP). Annoying things are his first perks and you can't get out of a tricky situation, he has no escape ability besides zoning with the smart bullet. But overall, underrated and very fun legend to play.
Using a Devo as the sling is really fun, starts quick as hell and you can basically just spray down like 6 full mags (idk just guessing) with the quick reload, using 0 ammo in the process and if you can't at least get a knock with that much firepower then you probably have some f***ed aim
That thing is also just straight fire. So many thing you can do with the sling just to make the game more fun, it's just amazing.
Rampage in sling is OP as heck; the ultimate gives it an automatic thermite, and now with his buffs you have the 1x HCOC ironsight by default, which makes it a decent base firearm. I'll agree though, RE-45 is my second go-to
I also main him and, in my case, I run the Alternator, since the ult gives it disruptor you basically melt people with it.
Man if I ever come across at Maggie, Fuse, and Ballistic team or just and Maggie and Ballistic, I am peaced out on that game!😂😂
That Vantage resing you was massive
Well i would change the care package thing with something related to his passive or ultimate
You know, level 2 attachments for the passives or 25 hp per knockdown while using his ultimate
as a ballistic main i would love healing 25 health per down in tempest
I think I tried concepting alt lv2 upgrades a while back. Care Pack scan replaced with Banner crafting and Ammuvision is replaced with Sling Upgrade (lv2 attachments on Sling)
love to play him with a mozambique in the sling. Gold mozam + 2 weapons and his ult... is just craaaaaaaaaaazy op

hey a little tip you only have to shoot flyers twice to get them to drop there loot if you shoot them once then wait for them to flap there wings 3 times and they instantly drop the box great for minimizing noise and getting the box a bit faster
the reason i shoot them is for the extra evo points :)

Rampart gets farmed by fuse and he's pretty popular this season

Brother once you have a lock with his smart bullet shoot it up in the air, it gets over obstacles a lot better.
the only thing wrong with ballistic is you dont get to shoot his q without sacrificing bit of your positioning
yeah you can bind it to your mouse but it will still feel weird, idk how it feels on roller tho
wish there was purple upgrade where it you can toggle it to autoshoot enemies, but you would have to look at them until it locks on

With his perks(especially tier 2) make him pretty viable in mid/close range dependant on synergy

Ballistic should not have been nerfed at all. He was nerfed in the beginning of season 18, for no reason. He needs a buff

He's a bit hard legend because you can't just "press ability and forget about it" with him, like most legends work. You gotta use tac AND force enemy to shoot, like get him cornered and force into fight, not use tac before it to expire it. For his ult you gotta remember which weapons are the best for it + aim and shoot it.
P.S. I don't even pick up ammo or use weapon in a sling, it's just there for the ult - because you get infinite ammo durning ult anyway.

When shooting Hemlok on long distance, use single fire mode. More damage and more precision.
Try Ballistic again but with an RE45 in the sling

I always thought ballistics ult was a bit weird, is tac is good but the ult is well... it would make sence that the balistic ult would be useful for weapons that use lots of ammo and that ammo is hard to find, which I guess it is but most of those weapons are care package weapons or ult weapons (shiela and vantage sniper), which is ult doesn't work for, you can almost always find enough ammo for any of the normal guns. So you get what? fast reloads? I mean sure it's nice but I don't think it's ult material honestley, when big moud weapons get fast reload 24/7. If the ult gave your unlimited ultimate and red weapon ammo for it's duration then it would go kind crazy but as is I don't really see it's utility.
It also gives faster movement speed with weapons out, which is huge.
@@jcarby23yeah but compared to the other timer based ults like rev having a refresh of 75 hit points and bloodhound having Perma Digi threat and faster movement speed it's really not that special
@MC-ns8gb Rev and Bloodhound ults only affect one person. Themselves. Ballistic applies to your whole team. So its just a matter of opinion.
I think that, as Merch ages, he just relates to Ballistic more and more.

Don't sleep on Brinkman, fellas. Lest you see yourself on the end of a auto-loaded geezer with a revved up Rampage, and with a smart bullet stuck on your gun, leaving you almost helpless to fight back.

You should make a new account we’re you get the heirloom octane apex pack and then after the event you buy the heirloom with heirloom shards and then open the pack and see what it gives you

He was shooting the knockdown shield of the downed enemy which had almost 700 hp I believe

I would definitely not use r99 as the sling weapon this season. Its so weak compared to the havoc and rampage. You want those benifits those weapons give you when fully charged up. I would go even aa far to picking re45 or the shotgun pistol.
True about the r99 but 9/10 times I'll use a CAR as my sling weapon due to the insane fire rate + reload time - so fast that you have almost zero time without the ability to shoot. If you're fighting a single player in that situation you barely need to worry about aim (assuming you have cover) because of the sheer amount of bullets you're spraying out

Ballistics tactical dart is very underwhelming.
I have used it on enemies who were still able to one clip me before it activated. And I have been on the receiving end of the dart a few times and still survived or killed the ballistic.

His first perk choice is just boring. Care package scanning is only good if no one else in the squad can do it to get the extra evo points. And seeing ammo is quite useless, just open the box.

You only need two bullets to get the flying animals to drop their boxes; after you shoot it once, wait for three flaps of the wings then shoot it with bullet #2. It doesn’t matter how much damage you do to the flyer.
Yes that is true but some people including me shoot them completely because it gives you evo points
