Still rocking. There last two albums released in 2018 (Living the Dream) and 2023 (Chaos and Colour) stand with the best of their albums from the 70's.
Makes me feel like a teenager again!! I couldn’t say how many times I listened to this album. I bought every Uriah Heep album I could find once I heard this song! Awesome band !!!’
A bit of history in the making. The rythum guitarist, on the right, is Ken Hensley, a founding memeber of Uriah Heep. The second singer, John Lawton, was Uriah Heep's lead singer from 76-79. The bass player is Trevor Bolder and the drummer is Lee Kerslake. They have all passed beyond the rim and performing at that great gig in the sky. The lead guitarist is Mick Box, the only original member of the band left. They are still performing in concert and released their 25th studio album this past January. I highly recommend you look into their expansive catalogue. MORE URIAH HEEP!!
The 2001 Magician's Birthday Party concert DVD is a very fine concert indeed. Heep alumni. Ken Hensley and John Lawton make special appearance (both were on the video just played). The band member at the time were Mick Box (lead guitar), Bernie Shaw (vocals), Lee the Bear Kerslake (drums), Trevor Bolder (bass) and Phil Lanzon (keyboards). They played many Heep classics from Demon and Wizards as well.
People constantly talk about the "holy trinity" and leave the heep out but in my honest opinion zeppelin should be knocked off the top spot so the trinity would be "BLACK SABBATH" "DEEP PURPLE" "URIAH HEEP" (yes zeppelin were good but they were not constant, their main achievement was one album "led zeppelin lV")
Uriah Heep was one of the best bands on earth in the seventies
Yet ANOTHER iconic British band.
Must be something in our water.
Still a great band
Yes they are awesome!!!!!
Nobody can play the guitar like Mick Box absolutely nobody!!!

The second singer who came in was John Lawton. He replaced David Byron as lead singer in the late 70s and was the singer on three albums.
"Live, is one of the best Rock bands ever. I saw them with Deep Purple. UH blew them away that night. 1972 or 73 in Califorina."

URIAH HEEP British LEGENDS since 1969.
The great Mick Box on guitar.

Uhiah Heep Live January 1973 is a top tier level album!! Maybe the best live album...
Reaction of Uriah heep "The Magician's Birthday" FANTASTIC!
Try Salisbury its increible song by Uriah Heep
Hard Rock Kazoo!
Vastly underrated band. IMO, they pioneered the symphonic heavy metal genre in Northern Europe. Imagine Nightwish doing this masterpiece.
Great band great album!
Uriah Heep my favorite band. What is this? Only Byron-Hensley-Box-Thain-Kerslake (1972-1975)
