Capcom cheaped out as always and settled for non-union VA’s that were less talented. That’s why it’s insulting to hear people with no standards actually saying things like the new voices were equal to old ones, or even worse the new voices were better lol.
@@Hanson032 Agree with you about capcom, some of the VAs were really not suitable for their roles but how is it insulting to you to hear people say that the new voices are equal or better to the old ones? It's a matter of opinion, doesn't tell anything about people's "standards" lol.
Fr, Wesker's new VA isn't bad but he sounds like any typical villain and he lost his uniqueness in some ways. I miss that nasal and hubristic voice lol. I was really hoping capcom would hire Connor Fogarty to voice Wesker in RE4R, he did an amazing job voice Wesker in DBD. Hopefully they do that in future games featuring Wesker (RE5 remake fingers crossed).

So you're saying that I, someone with less experience than any VA, could voice Wesker myself and as long as I like my version of it, I'm better than Connor Fogarty in my eyes just because it's a matter of opinion right? Seasoned voice actors who have demonstrated their ability to portray a character to a high degree are just as good as a new Voice Actor who was hired simply because they were cheaper and could act well enough are both equal in your eyes right? Five Nights At Freddy's is a much better series than Resident Evil right?

@@lorraineragin5001 All too convenient when not a single game before RE5 had ever hinted at any kind of instability in the many strains of the Progenitor/T-Virus . I prefer to entertain the idea that such defects are the results of cloning , which would explain the instability as well as Wesker being seemingly a lot less smart that in previous iterations of the franchise . The whole "releasing a virus worldwide and becoming a king/god" is so basic and worthy of a B-movie villain , not the antagonist we know and love for being two steps ahead of everyone in the franchise .

Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles were so great for storytelling. Playing as Wesker was probably my favorite.

With all the resident evil remakes happening, it's really hard to choose which game I want to be remade, I want to see Wesker in every version lol.
