  • Our TPMS system was causing the inner dual to leak down through the valve stem extender. A $20 tool saved me a lot of time and hassle on this project. Your extender may be different and might require a different approach. This was on our bus but should work on similar heavy duty vehicles like RV’s, semi’s and trucks.

Thanks for posting this. I just had a valve extension on inner dually unscrew when attempting to remove tpms. The tool is the key to tighten the valve extender back on securely without removing the outer dually. Thanks for speaking clearly and not rattling off your words so fast. I just appreciate good helpful information.

I got so tired of leaking monitor's from two different companys that I finaly removed the system's totally.
    No flats or leaking since.
    Great video.
I also just replaced my inner dual 6 inch extensions and they did come with an extra set of 0 rings.

A little silicone spray on that inside rubber seal will make for a better seal (per Wheel Masters). But this kind of setup is prone to leakage and I'm changing mine out with a solid single-piece valve stem including extension that bolts into the rim and extends out to where I need it. One piece, no connections, no flexing. Anchored with a rubber block as yours is.

if the inner center of that schrader extender rod used is not centered with the existing schrader it may lay off to the side and make the top seal off centered and leak

is there a guide that keeps the inner part of that shrader extender rod aligned with the existing schrader

Yes the tube is narrowed thru the center section which I could only see after removing the rod. It is probably 1/16” larger than the rod. No wonder it takes so long to fill.

i think your solution should work, teflon vs pipe dope

as i reviewed the vid again i see that the inner rod is centered when it contacts inner schrader

I found that there is a o ring on the (TPMS) monitor that fails, this will leak the air.

Can't skip around video ADS get in the way, HORRIBLE. Greedy. I watch a lot of car/RV videos none have ever been this bad with ADS. Makes it unwatchable. Sure you can have ads but this is ridiculous.

I have had mid-roll ads turned off by default on all new videos for the last year plus. Shut them off on this one too. The CZcams automatic placement is GREEDY and annoying, I assure you I did not do this. To prevent it requires going back and shutting it off manually, or manually editing the automatic placements.
