@@rachelthiros3847 Great, thanks. I have been considering making this same video, so it should be one of my upcoming ones.
Nice, thanks for the suggestion.
Hmmm, can you give some examples of what you mean? Do you mean techniques not to use? Or objects not to make?
Ah, I see. I like this idea and will definitely keep it in mind. Thanks!
Anyone else got a 3D pen for Christmas
Mine do Not Work I burn myself and nothing came out
Haha, I did!
@Rylan Sim I got mine for Christmas this year and it works, did you put the mode on fast and then put in the filament, it takes 15 seconds until it comes out when you just put it in, also why did you touch the top, it’s spitting HOT plastic string.
Ayyyy
yes ma'am
I've got a 3d pen years ago.

Mike Ivy That’s so nice of u!
Thank you so much. My 3d pen is arriving today and I can't wait to get to practicing. I did make the mistake of watching well pros, lol, making amazing things and making it look easy. Your videos address helping me understand that much more was going on that they were not showing. You have a sub for life here. Keep them coming. The pen I ordered SCRIB3D P1 3D Printing Pen with Display is probably the most beginner pen I could find with temp and speed control. Let me know if this is decent I know I will be advancing as I get better but thought this was a good cheap start.
Glad to hear my videos were helpful! The pros take many many hours to make the creations they show, so don't get discouraged if things take longer than you expected. Good luck and have fun with your new pen.
Thank you for making all these tutorial videos!
It really helps me.
I just got mine yesterday. I really appreciate this video. Smooth instruction You give me hope to be able to figure it out. Thanks
Thank you for this tutorial! I was pretty darn confused with my cousin this helps us so much thank you!
I'm having to quarantine for 2 weeks so this seems like a great time to become a plasticine wizard
Same lmao
@@huntedwing798 lol I came out of quarantine and never gave my 3D pen a second thought 👀 oop
@@huntedwing798 I made a cute butterfly while I was "in" though.
Just bought a 3D pen and your videos have been very helpful. Thanks.
Hello there!
What would u suggest to avoid loose pieces of filament? Basically... how can i be sure that the PLA is going to stick with the paper surface?

Im getting one tommorow and I can not believe that I am getting it on Easter Sunday!!!!im soo exited
Thanks awesome video and great thrips!
I've got a 3D pen today and I love it 😊
I love the idea of this but I had one as a present and couldn't get it to work at all. That was a few years ago so I'm thinking of giving it a go again. I love making wee models.... Is it worth trying again? Do they work and last? Enough to satisfy an artist and adult?
great video, im looking into buying one
yaaay I'm getting mine in a few days
I just got one for my birthday and I'm gonna try it soon
👋🏻 Hi great Videos ! Can you please Tell me what Paper do u use to Pause a Picture ?
This is awesome. I use the exact pen in my classroom and instead of having multiple demonstrations and driving me crazy, I can tell them to watch this! Sanity saver!!!
Awesome, glad it is so helpful for you! If possible, share any creations you all make I'd love to see them!
Isn't it great! You dont have to do your job anymore. When ever one of your students has a question just redirect them to youtube. Plus you can put your mind at ease knowing that they received an intelligent response from youtube rather than from some lazy half asser poor excuse of a professional who aint worth a pot to piss in.
@@bingefox4056 bruhhh
Thank you this was very helpful
Thanks for this introduction, it answers so many unthought of (noob) questions. One thing I need to ask: I am unfamiliar with wax paper - it's not prevalent in my part of Australia - I have obtained some but I don't know which side is used for the projects. I assume it is the waxed side, but I'd appreciate your advice. Many thanks.
No problem, glad the video was helpful. Yes, it is the waxed side which is used. Have fun with your pen!
To unload do we have to click on retract while taking it out ??? Also what's a good temp to have the filament at ?
You helped me a lot thx
Thank you this is very helpful
You are welcome and glad it was useful!
Great intro to using pen
Can the end product be place outside on hot days? I’m thinking of a For Sale sign for a Garage Sale. Will the plastic melt?

I just bought a ton of those spiral pla filaments, but i'm not sure how to insert it into mine, mine is different, and im used to using straight filaments. Mine isnt going in, but i cant find a good video for it. can anyone help?

Will filament for desktop 3d printer work in 3d pen even though it have the same type and same size?

Are the rp800a pen (mynt 3d pro knockoff) good enough for a beginner (14 years old)?
I got the 3dsimo but it comes out very slowly and thin I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or maybe I just need to get a hold of a different pen
Thanks very helpful
Glad you found it useful!
SO COOL
Thank you
I JUST GOT MY FIRST 3D PEN THANK YOU SO MUCH TY TY TY TY TY TY TY
thank you so much
Bro mine arrives in two days I hyped
Nice video. I just got my 3D pen. Just a very noob question: The manual doesn't mention any way to turn it off. Do I just unplug it (after removing the filament)? Mine looks almost like yours, except without the temperature controls (it only has a PLA/ABS setting).
Yep, just unplug it! Good luck and have fun with your pen :)
so so so so good
hi grat to see i have tryed to make fishing lure stenciles but not good at it can you help thanks mate ps i have both abs and pla in 1 pen
you helped me sooo much!!!!
I'm so glad! Have fun with your pen!
If I get one how long does it take for it to cool down enough where I can touch it without burning my finger? And what’s the 3D pen you use?
Thanks fo lot .
My friend can’t comment and has a question for you pls answer:
What temperature to do for PLA filament?
i got a 3d pen yesterday and i was quite confused, this helped alot but i still have a question, can I use it on paper (I use 3d pen 2)
Nice video , I just got one for Xmas but I'm wondering as a Lefty if I'm going to struggle with the buttons.
Sounds odd I know but a lot of things are never realised as it's just natural
Lefty here too! So instead of dragging our hands though pencil lead or ink, we're going to learn how to do that with hot filament LOL
@@anniewilson8979 lol best ensure we have Teflon gloves
May be till next year till I get one but either way this helped out a lot! Thank you for making this video.
Glad it was helpful and hope you can get a pen soon :)
I love this 💓💓💓💓😍
What temperature do you reccomend to start with
Can you use 3D printer PLA for this?
Thanks for do help!!!
No problem!
Is pcl filament safe to use?
How are you cleaning a 175C Nozzle with your hand? Is there some kind of insulation on the tip?
Heating is on inside, it’s fine to touch
My son sent me one for Christmas and I had no idea what to do with it!!!
Hopefully this or one of my other videos helped you figure out what to do with it!
Is it supposed to smell like something is burning when I start using it? I always get nervous that it’ll blow up or something.
I think you left out one important detail..what temperature do you set the pen at or is it preset, like for a starting point..thx
I did boiiiiiiii I love it
Just got one for Christmas in the mail! Now I can build 3D bridges! :)
I love that instead of editing the titles in, you just used a piece of paper with the title on it.
Heh, low tech for me. I have kinda fallen into that style with my videos, so I'm glad you like it :)
I didn't even notice what-
Can the pla filament stick on plastic or galss even ?
I understand the 3d pen shown in video is no longer available, but what kind was it? It looks slim and easy to hold and manage.
I have a 2nd hand scribbler I bought off ebay and it is too big and clunky in my hand. It is awkward and I don't like it at all.
3doodler looks even more huge and cumbersome.
Can you suggest a compact easily handled pen?
Try the MYNT3D pen.
@@PotentPrintables Thank you for taking the time to reply. It is sincerely appreciated!
Can I use parchment paper instead of wax?
what brend is this 3d ben you're using?
great thing he has the same one as I do his makes it a whole lot easier
would this work with a 3Doodler pen to?
What program do you use to scale the image down to exact specs (if you do)? Because PowerPoint isn't really very good for that... :D
For getting things exact I use a CAD program, like Solidworks or Fusion360.
@@PotentPrintables I meant the image on the paper. Did you just copy and paste it onto PowerPoint and guess what its dimensions should be?
Word and powerpoint have a "ruler" feature/option, which you can toggle on/off and that will give you a decent idea of the size of what you will be printing out.
@@PotentPrintables ohh, thanks!
thanks
Getting one for my birthday
Just got mine today
does it matter what finger you press the extrude button with?
Can you do a video on repairing pla prints with the pen?
Which 3D pen brand is the blue colour pen
2:21 This man is a god, not only with his videos, but with his bare finger cleaning off the nozzle which you can see is at 175 degrees celcius.
This is soooooo helpful I can now create such great 3D pen creations
Can we use banking paper?
a good video
How do u know if it’s psa filament or abs filament
