Miku, having been born and grown up in the country, West Virginia, tells her family that she wants to pursue music. Her family, encouraging her to follow her dream, lets her leave and follows her career as she's away. Everybody grows up, and they think she forgot about her roots. Her family is happy for her, but disappointed that she forgot about them. Finding out that she released a new song, her family listens to it as usual, expecting it to be another loud, energetic pop song that they don't necessarily enjoy. They're taken aback when they hear a calm guitar, and the little girl they once knew sing about where she came from and her want to go back. They're ecstatic, and listen to that song the most, awaiting her return as they fondly remember her childhood.
This should be a movie.

Ah yes, everybody knows that Hatsune Miku actually came from West Virginia.
Honestly really impressed by how well people are getting Miku to sing in English these days. When I was big into Vocaloid a decade ago, there wasn't much in English and most of the attempts at English were pretty rough. Very good!

My dad was surprised when he heard a high pitched voice singing this song and asked who it was that was singing. I told him that it was a sort of AI, and he chuckled, comparing the AI voices from the original Star Trek to what we have here today. The AI voice in Star Trek only has one tone and can only speak with one note. These vocaloids sound far more human, and are able to sing a wide range of notes (though speaking still sounds a little weird).
EDIT: Oh! Almost forgot! Hatsune Miku singing this still kinda works, because apparently, country songs are popular in places like Japan and China, including ones by John Denver (even though he's more folk than country, but close enough).

Thing is, this song is special to me - my father, who passed away not too long ago - performed this song for easily 20+ years, it was a mainstay in his shows (and he did shows for 40-ish years?).
