  • In this week by week video, I'm going to show you how easy it is to grow all the garlic you'll ever need. Garlic is easy to grow and doesn't require much upkeep. You can replant your grown garlic so you never need to buy it again. Even the smallest garden can accommodate garlic and can be grown in pots too.

I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I love it! It complements the other channels I'm following nicely (all French channels as I live in France, like Le Potager d'Olivier or Le Jardin d'Alekil). Thank you for the clarity, and the follow-through for each crop! It's nice to know what to expect every week, and if what your crop "looks like" at a given time is "normal", so to speak :)
I do have a question though: what if you want to eat you garlic "fresh" (in French, we say "primeur")? When can you start harvesting it for that purpose?
Thank you, have a great day!

Thank you for the lovely comment and I'm really glad you're enjoying the style.
I'll be honest, I don't know. My best practice is to harvest from when the plant starts to die back. Sooner and the bulbs would be underdeveloped. I'll see if I can find a book on it for you 👍

It can sometimes be a little deceptive. If they have dried up, try pulling one out the ground to see what the bulb is like 👍
