Paintball guns should be able to obscure a player’s vision if hit from the front. It could be used by a new player to make a quick getaway from an experienced player
Or maybe they can make funny quick art for enemy so he stare and the paintball guy escape
Paintball guns should absolutely cause ink splats on player screens and obscure transparent surfaces like windows.

I used military fragmentation rounds once, died to guy with kryzkarek from 5 meter away
I use fragmentation rounds lots of the time actually but only with the eaglefire cause it actually is pretty useful with that gun when in burst fire mode but the fusilat is even better.

I killed myself with frag rounds once because I was tryna fight off a guy with a knife and the explosions killed him and me
I found them really OP, mainly at medium range, I could easily kill players from a good distance in one or two shots. Close range is a different story.

I remember when Russia came out I got lost in the metro for about an hour because I only had civilian nvgs, I needed my friend to come with a flashlight to guide me out. phenomenal feature mr sexton!

Played on a max loot server recently and I’ve found like 8 of each no cap. They suck.
10:37 Technically speaking the bandana has an armor value of 1 as Unturned armor works by multipling the damage with the armor value to get the final damage dealt, armor higher than 1 increases and armor value of 0 makes you unkillable in that place.

Bandana is just a free piece of clot that doesnt take up inventory slots until you find a bandana or gasmask

Servers that offers vanlia Gameplay started to slowly become less and less popular, and thanks to CZcams, big part of people who later joined to play the game where only here for action instead of playing it as a survival game, like base raids and insane clips, and /kits and /tpa servers all of them made new players join us for the wrong reasons to play the game in a way its not intended, at least from vanlia standpoint, as for mods, they really do help alot keeping veterans and dedicated playerbase in the game for a very long time, heck the Escape from Unturnov made me get 300 extra hrs in the game without the vanlia (it's a mod based and heavily inspired by Escape From Tarkov), sadly some engines and game as well server limits, all did hold the mod from being really perfect
don't get me wrong, there are still servers offers the vanilla experience that players from 2014-2016 misses alot but aren't popular or even friendly as they were before because they aren't really any benefits to play with the other random player on the street, killing them right now is the better benefit once you as a new player knows how to fight the zombies and know how to manage your inventory
So for that reason of the game not being played they intended (in server that clearly seems like it's the way Nelson bulid up the game with those /kits and /tpa commands when it's nothing like what he bulid up this game for) and for the reasons of the game engine being pushed so far to it's limits and add more possibilities and opportunities for new awesome mods, that's why he is making Unturned 2
I am currently hoping that he would be able to find a way that CZcams videos and streaming doesn't effect the way the game is being played and he adds like a filter that would by default not show up thoese servers so the new player understands what's he is going to play on

Would love to hear more stories like this. In all the time I've played this game, I've never seen someone find a proper use for smoke.

@@SirAdyUnleashed Smoke is awesome, for base raiding/deffending because you confuse the enemy and enable yourself to kill the enemy with the confusion of the Smoke
Yeah, you can also used it to mark your location so that your friends who doesn't in a same group with you know where you are.
You can throw smokes as a distraction for players aswell, them expecting you to be in the smoke and focusing on that then you can run off
I swear I have been playing unturned for 3 years and I today know that there is something called a heatstim.
I have been playin since early access, and I only found it out in his Carpat review around 2 months ago. Even then, I didnt even pick it up

I've seen a total of one times and that was when I got stuck in a building in yukon
about the smoke: Use it to break the line of sight (LoS) to your enemys that have already spoted you, not as a stealth tool
Since, you cant shoot what you cant see right ?
The smoke was one of the items I felt the most conflicted with, since I could think of purposes it could fulfill, but never actually witnessed an instance of it being useful myself.
I've used about 50 smokes to lag guys out that were being toxic inside a base we were raiding
@@SirAdyUnleashed I've used it in that situation like a singular time, but I didn't deploy the smoke, it was some random dude just throwing it everywhere. So when I attacked him I used the smoke to go from cover to cover unseen. It's completely pointless to throw in the middle of a fight though.

The Leather Bottom is the best pants in the game as it has the same armor as the military counterparts but it has 3 extra slots of space. Ofc thief/cargo have more slots and Specs have more armor but I think leather is by all odds the best.

10:28 I personally find flares to be very useful, even when I'm in late game.
It's nice to throw a flare to either round up a bunch of zombies to easily kill or just have them out of a building for a bit so I can quickly loot it while being more safe.
Military Fragmentation rounds can raid wood bases, and when you shoot the ground, the fragmentation draws the attention of zombies, it also does more damage the regular military ammo. Tracer is sometimes used for shooting people behind trees so your friends can see where you shooting, therefore seeing the guy behind the tree. Though, i don't know anybody who uses the tactic.

IMPORTANT MENTION! It has come to my attention that smoke can act as very good cover, and upon some reflection I think it is not as bad as I've made it out to be. I'm not sure how that didn't cross my mind, but it's too late now. So I will respectfully collect the L and move on.

Morphine is actually pretty useful, I played on a server where there was leg breaking and it was kind of essential during the pvp. breaking your legs from falling off a building can be healed by morphine and you can heal some of the health lost with it. (Only useful if you play on a server with leg breaking)
Splint does the same thing and it costs 2 scrap metal and heals 10% while morphine heals 5%. So unless you cant acquire scrap metal or cant craft a splint then morphine is the way to go.

I was there in the beta. No guns. No bosses. No different drinks nor foods, no planting, no vehicles, no different zombies. Only POI, hockey sticks, and a broken xp systems. But fucc, I loved seeing unturned grow.
Civilian night vision is actually useful on Snow maps when its heavy snowing,you see a small bit more easily,but not by much.
I gotta disagree on smoke. Smoke has saved me and my friends many times by providing cover from snipers or long ranged shooters.
yeah me and my friends/randoms would use it while in fights at the airfield/military base on Russia, either to obscure the enemies vision by directly throwing it at them, hence forcing them either out of cover to see or to allow us to move, or just to create general chaos and obscure the very long sightlines that exist on the airstrip. It's a very useful tool when you've got little to no gear except a Snayperskya, military knife, and military bottoms.
The ghillie are actually useful for the grass plates, I once had a base next to paradise point on the mountains, i had like 30 of these plates collected in total and i masked a full metal base so good people were doing pvp with us next to it and they didn't notice it, although i recommend using these plates for a base only if your base is at the map border, and also make sure to use many layers at one side if you don't the plates will be useless.
I actually really like the suppressor, especially on my sabertooth in Washington. 2 tapping any type of gear (on headshots) without the enemy knowing where you are located is great.
Muzzle flash exsisted if you get spotted you are screwed

When im running with a squad on france i always keep tracers on me, as being able to pinpoint an enemy location and firing squad them at the trade of your own location which is usualy already seen is just great

In my opinion ever since that update to nvgs that made them less painful on the eyes, I think civilian nvgs can be actually a tiny bit more viable than before

What about nailgrenade? It’s dealing half of the grenade damage, and you have to craft it, while demolition charge have similiar crafting and it’s obviously way more usefull
I excluded makeshift items, as can be seen in the rules (0:55) because most of them really are so redundant due to reasons too complex to fit in one small segment that I thought could be more closely looked at some other time. So yes, you are right about that.

@@SirAdyUnleashed That's my face when I see adrenaline at #1 beating out heatstims which spawn on like two maps(including curated) and one it doesn't even snow on whilst on any creative server I keep that needle on me just in case I'm running and run out of stamina or get low on it I can just keep running.
@@bananajome I did have trouble deciding which one of them would come on top, it is true, but creative servers are not exactly the optimal environment for seeing how useful an item is in a vanilla survival environment.

I use brick structures,but think they need a color change,and textured to look like correct brick walls.
Hence why I only use the pillars for roleplay servers.
On older versions of the game, the adrenaline was a viable option for running through the map, because restoring health, stamina, etc was gradually instead of instantly, making use of that to maintain the restore factor of the adrenaline while using it by running.
(you could still use Energetic bar/bottles but they were also rare to find at the time)

I had an idea once where having sentries target people while you have smoke deployed everywhere in an online raid defense could wipe out an entire raid team.
It didn't work.
This might be a dumb question but why are precession charges useless?
They aren't as useless as I may have implied them to be. In truth they are weaker, awfully situational charges which require crafting III to obtain for some reason, and since it's only crafted using once demolition charge there is a risk of accidentally crafting it and being stuck with that item, as the recipe isn't reversible, but it was mainly on the list because I wanted an excuse to talk about the suppressor.

Imo the adrenaline is really useful very early game.
The thing with items which are only useful as-is early game is that when you are late-game enough to no longer need them, they still serve a purpose to you (e.g. being scrappable or used for crafting), whereas the adrenaline just takes up a spawn where something more useful like a vaccine could spawn instead.
@@SirAdyUnleashed I do indeed believe the adrenaline needs a rework too. I think the debuff should be nerfed a bit (because getting 5% damage is like getting fucking cold if we try to be realistic, and unturned has attempted being realistic)
If i had to rework it, I'd boost the melee swing speed by 60%, movement speed by 20% (on foot), heavily reduced flinching, a medium increase in reload speed and slight heat boost (just to stop freezing for several seconds, due to increased heart beating)
This i believe is a fair boost for what is known to 'revive' people.
@@SirAdyUnleashed yeah, but even in early game I just sprint past that bs and try to level up my extrasize asap, I think the majority of unturned players do that to, if he removed the radiation damage and/or just gave the player temporary infinite energy then I'd change my mind and it would actually be very valuable at any point of the game pretty much, let's say it was 10-15 seconds of infinite energy, that would give the player the upper-hand in PvP, either for escape or to chase someone down, or if you enter a deadzone or even fight off a boss, using an adrenaline beforehand would just make the fight/looting a peice of cake since you can keep on moving without taking breaks in between those valuable segments of gameplay.

Some of my uses for some of mentioned items
civ NV - i use it quite often when i know people roam with mili NV, it's way easier to spot light osurces in civ NV and so player mili goggles shine from miles away
Tracer rounds - Good for iniciating battle with cluless teammates as it helps them focus fire on where you fire
Flashband - surprisingly still makes people panic
Smoke grenades - a few of them thrown can actually shroud an area well enough for cover
Adrenline - rarely used, but i found it o rarely help with long sniper battle retreats to give you that extra sprint time to dip. Furthermore it is a viable stamina generator after you died and your skills got reset if you need to hop right back into action

I would say that on Elver leather clothing are really useful as they give more slots than Police clothing. For example, Adventurer pants - 15 slots, Adventurer Jacket - 18 slots, Adventurer Ammovest - 25 clots. In early game hitting Few deers with car isn't hard, but gives nice advantage.

4:26 actually in my singleplayer survival world i used some frag rounds against a military mega zombie, saved me at least 1 to 2 clips of ammo for my heartbreaker

4:25 i still remember, because it was an event or something in a server called “can you survive” it was my most memorable time of unturned. first server i joined aswell. i made some friends there but i no longer talk to them. whole server was friendly to me, even on their pvp servers. i only remember 2 mods who became admins later on, Ix_carezma and Estbanana.

Happy Holidays and the Glider/Military Fragmentation mags and the Civilian Nightvision in some situations work wonders if it's a snowy-based map but I've also had times where it worked wonders in some player-made bases.
If blizzards were 24/7 But the higher you go the clearer it gets. Would make Yukon very different.

man i miss old unturned, i used to play it everyday but now with the lack of new stuff in updates and the fact that nobody plays it and all the good servers are gone, and also that you need almost as many mods as fallout 4 makes me not want to touch it. its sad. i miss the old days

A bit of a use for the smoke grenade(situational of course)
When you are for example in a city or location and some snipers are watching you. You can throw a ton of smokes randomly to distract them
And when we needed him the most, he vanished

This video is one of those videos that u can see after a few years and it still will be funny even if im not playing unturned
Back when I played, explosive rounds were my favorite. There's this spot you can shoot on trees and they'll instantly fly off and break, leaving the person using it as cover exposed. Can't even begin to recall all the times this came handy.

ghilie had some good armor values in 2.2.5 and the love for it carried over to 3.0 where it wasnt as viable

I've played Unturned since 2016 and im really sad this game died, it had so much potencial as a free game, and it still does, there are a less bugs than before but
its so easy to become overpowered on any server, you just find a gun and you re full already cuz bases are relevant.

The suppressor is actually very useful, but only the one on the wisp because it has infinite durability, but it doesn't spawn on every map...

Flash Bangs are only useful in roleplay servers, and they don't work very much either.
Smokes I've seen is used for Roleplay servers, but usually used to troll,or represent smoke for firefighter rp.
Military frag round can be used for underwater raid, which can use to break walls if there's claim flag
Okay, about the special ammunition and smokes. I’ve never been a good unturned player, never knew how to make bases and all that, but I was a good shot, so when someone wanted to team up, make an alliance or a guild on a server, I always marketed myself the guy who’ll make your problems go away with a couple of hand granades, breaching charges and mid-class weapons. Special ammunition was the thing I used practically as soon as I could, I used to farm giants and get them magazines quickly, I cannot tell how big of an advantage they gave me, but I can for sure say they easily saved my ass from time to time, use the fragmentation ones up close, and tracers if you’re going for a long shot. Now for the smokes, never, ever use them when you haven’t been spotted yet. I used to carry a good couple of them just in case of an emergency, when I was pinned in an open area, a single smoke won’t do the trick, you have to throw a good amount, like five in a medium area to get away from a potential sniper, and considering they only take 1 space in the inventory, they’re a pretty ok choice for a slot.

I haven’t played the game in a long bit, I have no idea if things have changed, and if anything was nerfed, or buffed.
8:00 : in a recent update where a Housing Planner was added to allow you to build bases quicker, brick was buffed. so much so that it is now the strongest material in the game, better than metal requiring almost an entire dragonfang box or 4 charges.
When I played unturned on creative servers I remember using civilian night vision to see people underwater better. The biggest difference between survival though would probably be that frag rounds were pretty much just a higher damage alternative to drums and I remember them actually getting banned for a time. As for tracer rounds though, yeah they suck still
