Animation titans Paul Tibbitt ("The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water") and Pam Brady ("South Park") team up for an incredible coming-of-age story starring Lana Condor ("To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before") as Ruby - a teenage girl embarrassed of her sea monster family who covertly live alongside humans. Ruby, her mom and grandma destroy the Trident of Oceanus in order to stop Nerissa and thus changing her back into her normal Chelsea form permanently. Ruby considers this a far better fate than having Grandmamah outright vaporize her as she can't transform back into a monster without the Trident's power, leaving her stuck in her Chelsea form forever and with her reputation ruined.
It's absurd, however, that they spoiled everything in the trailer. I didn't expect something like this from 'Dreamworks'.

I loved the ending part of Ruby Gillian teenage kraken, with its how to train your dragon theme ending right as Ruby turns into her giant kraken form, with the title of the movie appearing after, and there might be a sequel thanks to the petition for a second Ruby Gillman teenage kraken movie

I do wonder whatever happened to Nerissa after her defeat. Ik she's in a cage, but that didn't seem to bother her with that scene of Gordon apologizing about what he said about krakens seeing 3 of them take down an evil mermaid. She asked how many likes they were getting. Even Grandmamah asked what to do with her
I don't know why, but I would have liked it if Chelsea had died at the end. I have this feeling.
