I agree to some extent. Without 8K video recording and still faulty Lidar (especially Center Stage the quality is questionable), Apple just doesn't compete too well against Samsung in the camera sector. However, Apple has had it right since the beginning for security and battery reliability. The big problem with Android phones is the Windows Ecosystem Syndrome (WES), where malware and CPU-draining battery life hardly affect Apple devices. iPhone 13 Pro Max is still rather current tech. I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon, and you'll probably never again see a good iMac 27". The display quality on my 2020 iMac is much better than the iPad Pro. It doesn't get that bright.

I have an iPhone 12 and I don't see a need to upgrade. There isn't anything in the newer models that I have to have. Now, with the Apple Watch, if it could track my blood sugar, I'd buy it in a minute.
The AI in the Apple Watch is astounding. As for other Apple products, not so much. What is a neural engine in an iPhone, anyway? I never see it do anything. Maybe it's just a marketing gimmick...
@@techmaesterfrom what I understand, the neural engine is supposed to make siri speak better, respond faster and âon deviceâ (no internet needed), but if it still needs internet connection for 90% of what it does, is it really in device?
My iPhone 15 Pro Max does have bugs, but there are two problems with iPhones that should be addressed 1 is customizing app placement on the screen. itâs infuriating to try to adjust your screen because when you get it like you want it and you try to add another app you gotta spend the next two hours fighting with the screen to get things back like you want. 2 is being forced to bounce between screens when you want to type a number or icon. This really shows up when you have to enter credentials. Itâs quite infuriating.

It would be better if iPhone could record 8K video. The phone is more than powerful enough to record 12K video, but then I guess Apple left Samsung for the most serious photo and video takers. Maybe Apple doesn't fit the professional camera market, but at least malware on iPhone is extremely rare.

For me itâs just get rid of the Dynamic Island.. lame feature. Takes up too much room. The standard UI was better because you get more screen real estate.. which may be why I switch to Samsung after a fight with my wife because she loves everything Apple lol
@@vmxdla2025As long as Apple doesnât have a solution to put the face-id sensors and front camera behind the display, the dynamic island will likely stay. Holepunch will not gonna happen because the iPhone would lose their recognition factor in comparison to android phones.

Having no 8K video on iPhone is the reason why upgrading to iPhone 16 is pointless. It cost double what the iPhone 13 was. $1,100 for 256 GB storage? Horrible. iPhone 13 cost a few hundred bucks less that capacity. I wonder what's going on here? It's not inflation. I guess it's on to trying Samsung Galaxy Ultra S24, but prone to malware is a catch-22 that I don't want to chance.
I have a 14 pro max⊠I was less than excited when I got it. It hasnât given me anything to get excited about. Itâs a decent phone. But lord the accessories for it are insanely expensive. It forgets more passwords than you can imagine. And I love that super password feature you put it on a site with your phone your computer doesnât know it. So you have to put a new password on your computer, your phone doesnât know itâŠ

The 14proâs and Max outsold android s23 but the 15 pro and max did not outsell the s24 and that phone has only been out for about 4 months the sells have definitely been going down .. I have both the 14 pro and the s24 and I still love my iPhone way better but I gotta agree I didnât update because the new features are minimal from the 14 to the 15 besides the usb port it really isnât worth the upgrade and if the 16 pro / max is the same looking type phone with no real new features this phone most likely wonât sell well either .. just saying Iâm team apple tho this is actually an upgrade year for me so I hope and pray đđœ it is amazing

The only thing they should focus on is Software and user experience. The design is fine. They should fix bugs, allow some more customization, open up the walled garden a little bit so that third party stuff works better. A good user experience is more important than looks.

Honestly I have an iPhone 14 Pro and it's nice to keep my phone and not worry about falling behind whereas if the iPhone changes drastically every year I would be compelled to by one every year! I like the fact that it works and works well. The ecosystem is fantastic. No complaints!

Honestly, I think something like Apple Vision Pro in a more $800-1k sunglasses format replaces phones completely. Phones as we know it today will be a rare 5 years from now. IMO

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 500 gig hd. Traded in my iPhone X when I got it. I did the 30 month pay off program with AT&T & itâs been paid off for a few months. I used to upgrade my phone every other year, but like youâve said the phones have only been growing a title bit better incrementally. Iâve been hoping it would become the solid slab of glass like Steve Jobs envisioned, though it seems that vision is taking forever

I think we expect too much from upgrades. Fix what needs it and make incremental improvements, then decide if you can justify the upgrade.
I have a 14 pro max and its currently my backup phone and my daily driver is an s24 ultra.
Change the camera layout and design; make the cutouts flush with the chassis. And with iOS, make it more customizable on the Home Screen.

I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I love the phone itself, I simply wish Apple would really beef up the software and streamline more of the vision accessibility. Another thing I would love to see is a change in the form factor. I would really like to see a fold style iPhone. Bring visually impaired technology is my friend and to that end , devices are very expensive. Apple has invested a lot of time over the past few years really making the iPhone more accessible. A fold version of the phone would give me three devices in one, a phone, a hand-held video magnifier and a larger 7.5 or 8 inch magnifier in one device. If I buy things separately I and looking at $3500, an iPhone fold even at $2000 will save me $1500.

Still using iPhone 13 Pro Max and still feels like a current model, only because the cameras still cannot record 8K video. Going from 12 to 48 MP on iPhone 15, I would err on the edge of caution on that. The quality looks like a P&S with crammed megapixels. The new iPhone 16 base model at 256 GB storage cost $1,100 USD, which is basically highway robbery.
It lasts longer than that! Phones can last at least 10 years so itâs definitely worth buying if you have a iPhone 11 or something plus they last longer than androids

The main thing they need to do is start putting the physical Sim card tray back on the US models and give us our freaking fingerprint sensor back. OMG.
I think there needs to be an iPhone ultra and many more useful attributes to the phone and stay away from taking peoples pictures when they open their phone, and allow them to keep it much more secure
Apple does need to make feature changes, especially in software and open sideloading, with warnings to open up more opportunities to develop and create more uses. Sales have fallen in China due to geopolitical issues. Still, they need to push the lower-end devices as well as accessories, and services in other regions like India and Africa. A new form factor or new design would also be great. Having accessories work better with some other devices, non-Apple devices would help too, and vice versa. Also, I have an iPhone 14 and not plan to upgrade for a while does everything I need well since I use a laptop or desktop to do most things.
Whoâs buying an iPhone now when new ones and price changes are around the corner? I doubt normal users upgrade every year Iâm a 2 to 3 year updater. But a shift is coming so stay tune. There are features built into the current phone most users donât know how to use. Iâm waiting to see what happens this year.
I would buy a new iPhone today if they had an iPhone 15 mini pro. I still have my iPhone 12 mini and I wouldnât even think of getting anything else until itâs completely useless.
I have a 15 Max Pro and won't upgrade, although in some ways I miss my old 13 Max Pro. The battery on the 15 seems less than perfect and I prefer the physical handling of the predecessor. Obviously, the lens are superb as well as the coordination with my iMAC and iPAD Pro.
Time to fix the bulging cameras at the back! Make the phone form factor FLAT!
For me I donât really care for features like itâs just a bonus but one thing that I can say I really wish apple would do is change the design. We been working the same design since the 13 pro series.
My brother in law and his wife got iPhone 15 Pros. I was considering buying one when my payment plan runs out in Nov 2024 because of the Titanium. When I saw the 15 I was not interested. Now I will buy a year 15 instead. Thats why I think sales are down. I have an 2006 MacBook that still runs a 2014 MacBook Pro that still operates fine, but both are no longer supported. His APPLe stuff is now so good, that people can wait years before upgradin

Front facing camera has improved on iPhone, but it's still pretty bad on iPad. While 4K video recording is excellent on iPhone, you'd think by now recording 8K like Samsung be a thing. At least, Apple offers 1 and 2 TB capacity, more than the competition delivers. They charge a lot more for that though, but a heck of a lot cheaper going the iCloud route, so I can see why the 256 and 512 GB options are so attractive. It makes sense if you think about it.

You don't need to upgrade. Here is how it goes: Like to have an Iphone regardless of the price? Okay whats your budget? Cheap? Sure thing google Iphone 12 at about 300 euros on most sites nowadays. Crazy apple fan with lots of money? Buy a 15 pro max 1TB. An iPhone 12 is great for most average people and its only 300 euros on most sites. The 13 costs 600 euro if you want a mid range. You can get a refurbished iPhone 13 pro at the same price of a normal iPhone 13. And you won't even notice its been used before.
A screen on the back for highest rez selfies. Clipboard built into the keyboard, that is open source enough to work with third party keyboards. User replaceable battery that is water proof, surely we're here technologically. Finger smudge proof. Higher storage as base phone. Radio antenna for entertainment without data. Better artist abilities. A mini again as a loss leader that makes the eco system more complete halo effect. Finger print on power button as well as face id. Most of these are simple to do and would create real interest from the public again

Definitely new form and better features. You can get rid of the Apple Watch and make like a Slapwrist Curve Glass Phone/Watch that stays on your wrist while active and hands free, then straighten and hold when watching videos and texting. Incorporate a great video/photo editor and a upgradable set of filters on the Photo app.
Maybe if Apple dropped the price point , they might actually sell more phones. They are still priced artificially high.

Off course they're not selling that many. Even an iPhone 8 is a great phone, is still supported and many don't even use half of the features these extremely advanced phones come with. People give their "old" phones to relatives or sell them to get a new one. I'd rather see how many new users are on Apples services, how's the growth rate for those?
iPhone 15 pro max only upgraded because my iPhone 12 Pro Max battery wouldnât hold a charge. Iâm deep in the Apple ecosystem but am losing hope. How about apple finally rolling out with all it basic functions in all countries. You still cannot use maps in some of the European countries or even uae, KSA ,... Etc it's maybe our fault when we buy something that does not work as intended and live on the promise that it will be rolled out in the coming months (since 2010's)

I think technology is much more common now so it's very difficult for them to "surprise" us every single year. Also Tim said that Apple is going to focus on the inside rather than the outside. Of course, I'd love to see a new iphone design every year though.

in my opinion the only real thing im missing out of is high refresh rate, but even that is not necessary.
It does everything I need it to do, and my photos are decent, my videos are decent. and iâm not on the handful of people who actually uses an iPhone for âhigh endâ cinematography.

I love my iPhone 13 and donât see any reason to upgrade. This is not a problem. Itâs the whole Apple system that keeps me with Apple. I have an Apple Watch, and iPad which I love. So no problems for me. Sales may be down at Apple but that isnât really a big deal to me. As far as the design of the iPhone, I donât see any need at this point. As AI becomes more of a focus, it may cause changes in how we use the phones. Letâs wait and see.

# 1 is they are so damn expensive, totally disagree with about user spending more for a phone with more features just like make the camera better since that is a huge thing and # 2 better battery life like maybe double the life and keep it about the same price. Most people are not better than they use to be this country is in so serious trouble already.
