Finally a realistic example, I always see ppl posting this and showing plain spurs, saddle seat, and horse racing without actually showing the dark side of these things coz itâs all safe like spurs, spurs are fine until they are put in the wrong hands, horse racing is fine but only without the drugs and whips, and saddle seat is fine, itâs the big lick thatâs bad
Shocking, drugging, and whiping horses arenât the only problems with racing. They are forcing 2 y/o horses to run at top speeds in circles over and over. If they win, they get raced more, if they lose, they go to slaughter. If they have health issues, they still race. Look up Voyage King, he was diagnosed with osteoarthritis In both his front legs and guess what. He was still raced. One of his cannon bones snapped in two and he died. Between 2017 and 2022, 29 states tallied 4,064 racehorse fatalities. Thatâs fricken ridiculous. The whole racing industry is horrible. The only thing people care about is money. They donât care how they get it, how many horses are hurt, abused, and killed. As long as they get some green paper.
@@lem0nl1me yes Iâm very aware of the horse racing industry and whatâs wrong with it, I was just giving a brief example, I actually made a full 10 minute documentary on it for school and yes it can be quite terrible and Iâve definitely seen footage or horses legs snapping while racing and itâs terrible to see, Iâve also seen whipping used to get horses mad and âget some attitudeâ so theyâll race faster and itâs terrible but I hope you know that thatâs not all what horse racing is and a lot of people donât do it for the money and do it coz they enjoy it while also treating their horses properly, some race horses are treated like royalty and get everything they need and want and donât over exercising them or abuse them in any way, sometimes the horse even gets treated better than the rider. There are also so many horses out there who would become depressed if they couldnât race anymore and you might say that they can run in the field, but a lot of horses absolutely love the racing environment more than anything, they thrive that feeling of getting ahead of all the horses and winning and feeling that bond with the rider. Some horses want and love that so racing isnât all bad a lot of it is really good and safe.
Hobbles are not abusive directly. Used incorrectly yes. But in practice they are used to keep cowboys horses from running away while not having to tie them when out in the fields working cows overnight. Itâs actually safer than tying a horse unsupervised overnight. Other than that, good video

Thank you for spreading awareness! soaring is one of the worst things to do to a horse. They put chemicals and other bad stuff on the hooves, it makes the horse preform an exaggerated gate, they preform that gate because the chemicals on the hooves make it hurt to put their feet on the ground. They preform the gate in hopes of keeping their feet off the ground for as long as possible. It is UNNECESSARY and UNCOMFORTABLE and UNNATURAL!

Yes there are darksides to the equestrian ways but there are also a lot of positive so I think we should focus on the positive more than the negative, just my opinion
Hobbles arenât exactly the worst thing in the world, however they are indeed a huge risk if thereâs an emergency like a brush fire and the horse absolutely must get away. I definitely would never use hobbles myself as I donât think restricting leg movement is nice, but hobbles when used correctly are actually there for the horseâs safety.
It is so sad what people do to these horses. I hate Tennessee walking horses or for the people that show them. It sucks what they do to them. Every step they take they are in so much pain. But people do it for the money so selfish!

This is abusive and this is one of the reasons I do not use whips or spurs I might use a tiny plastic spur if my horse isnât listening to the cues I give her, but I never use(ed) those metal ones they can easily pierce their skin and cause them pain đ€
