- On the 7 Mar 1981, Roger Daltrey and Kenney Jones of The Who appear on the British television children's show Tiswas in a segment called "Compost Corner" portraying flowers, dressed in green leotards with petals framing their faces. Afterward they are interviewed. The Who were then touring the U.K. promoting their FACE DANCES album.

I was a kid on this show, I'm on at 09.38 the tall nerd on the right in glasses, I was just on the cusp of being too old, after the show was broadcast the kids and adults I went with had a bite to eat in the restaurant at the studio, Roger and Kenny were also up there and I got their autographs too!
Had Keith Moon been or ever lived beyond 1978 to make an appearance on Tiswas it would never had made it to air on TV I reckon
Martin Ramsdale Moon the Loon would have been in his element on Tiswas.
Moon would have loved Tiswas, but he would raised the studio to the ground.

I remember someone telling me a story of Tom Petty in concert in Birmingham in the 70's or 80s. As he was telling a rather sad and very personal story about some family member of his, someone in the audience shouted out 'compost corner', with everyone joining in. Apparently, Tom Petty was most distressed.
At least Keith was dead, what were Pete and John's excuses for not showing?
Can't imagine Roger and Kenney really got along that badly considering Kenney drums on some of Roger's solo songs

Kind of awkward to watch the interview segment because Roger and Kenney never got along. Roger treated Kenney like shit. He used to bully him. John Entwistle confirmed it.

Kenney was put into an impossible situation trying to fill in for Keith who was a completely different style of drummer and an outgoing personality to put it mildly. Add in Roger's obvious disappointment in the choice and you've got a guy that had to just be quiet and play the drums for 4 years.
Kenney He was great guy i just don't get why he doesn't like kenney a bit as a drummer, and zack was just aprovve instantly for being ringo star son, nobody can be outgoing as keith moon because the cause of his perosnality wasn't natural he has tdh and was hiperactive he need medication at a time wasn't People very aware , so yeah nobody can be like keith moon because is just not normal, roger has to get ok with in and undestand

There WERE having fun , not giving a shit about what they looked like. Doing what many other superstars did, went on TISWAS mostly for a laugh some to promote something or other... Cozy Powell , Michael Palin, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Noddy Holder, Jackie Chan, members of Genesis, Queen, The Monkees, Annie Lennox, Quo,Elvis Costello oh and some bloke called ROBERT PLANT...yeah fancy them going on Tiswas… what were they thinking !!!
