Those badass snare rolls starting at 2:51 that just keep goin harder and harder til the end!!! Can we PLEASE start producing those back into our music again?? Pretty please with organic cane sugar on top!?
Sorry, hard to keep up with comments on this one sometimes. I use Ableton these days, although this one was made back in the days when I used Reason. When it comes to old school jungle production, back in the day (as far as I'm aware), it was mainly made using Amiga Pcs, Akai s2000, Roland Tb808 and Cubase, amongst other synths. A lot of it was made with tracking software as well. For example check this, it's the drums for Beats Boyaa running in OctaMed tracking software watch?v=bkVSe9DubE8 :D
I still love this so much, all these years later ❤ It’s like an education of propa vocals that was essential in the early 90’s Rugga Jungle movement! Big UP’s Kenny Kid Lib for educating the youth ❤❤❤ History book styles and in 2024, still so relevant 👊🏼👊🏼🔥
WHOA. You really twisted me bro. All of your music is amazing and it's basically you taking old sounds and adding a modern thought process to them. You're an evil genius.
good to know people are still enjoying some of thee amazing tunes on youtube :) and yes , by a very very well talented dj! hope al is well kidlib :) bless
MASSIVE choon!! Big up the ragga jungle and kidlib for keeping the true sound alive. This whole tune is FIRE, but I want to know what sample you used for 1:26-1:55, it is too funky. Much love junglists.
love it man how you drop the soul and old school samples like Killa Sound, jungle warrior et all - nice tricks that Remarc employed - maybe I'm getting a long in the tooth but it just a tad busy sometimes when it could do with rolling smoother - but hey, you making it and I never have so hats off to you. i mainly use reason still as vista is the shittest windows to date excluding M.E. and wont let me use cubase properly. i also use adobe audition, ableton live, recycle, akaizer and fruity loops (among a few others occasionally). but those i only use for chopping, stretching, creating sounds and stuff like that. i use reason to actually create and lay out the track and mix etc. safe. take it ez man.
its not a sample as such...i have the full acapella as we had him voice a dubplate for us...but the tune originally is topcat - champion dj on congo natty records.glad you like the tune anyhooo..safe. take it ez..
3:45 this is Gansta. Is this early 90's stuff, or is this something new. I am seeing a lot of 92-96 old school jungle tune sound, but its new? This takes me back to my amiga and pro-tracker days, good stuff :-)
@manamixing the reggae loop is sampled from dennis brown - sitting & watching the vocal is from our dubplate version of champion dj by topcat along with clash samples & a dub of cutty ranks - limb by limb.take it ez
Yer man quality stuff bringing bk the good old jungle days.dying to know that ragamuffin 1st tune played at the beginning ant erd that favorate since pirate radio days bk in 94..need that tune name..safe safe kid lib
