I feel like people forget that literally every single character is viable except for maybe Ganon, and even then, Ganon has a few notable wins. Just play whoever you want.
Some characters are cringy, but playing based off tiers is worse

@@IIIISaiI used to main falco because of his dair and combo game, then I mained greninja a few years back because of my love for ninja characters. He just happened to be slightly better than falco in the tier list but his hit box inconsistency drags him down

There are different degrees to being viable
I was like "oh my god does ESAM think robin is upper mid tier after watching Leaf?" then realized that the character is so forgettable that you almost forgot to tier him 😭
This is shaping up to be a wild tier list. Chrom bottom 10, Sephiroth and Inkling bottom 20. I cant wait to see the rest of this list.
When you put it that way yeah its wild but when considering this is ultimate we're talking about, you're only rly low tier character if you're one of the 3 characters who cant recover well in the game (yu know who im talking bout)
Every character in Ultimate is low-key decent (with one glaring exception). So yeah, you're going to have some good characters puzzlingly near the bottom - someone has to go there.
I really want to say that Sephiroth's range is good enough to cover his flaws but it's tough. If wing was a mechanic that available like Cloud's Limit (with at least 30 seconds of course) or Joker's Persona then he'd be a high tier for sure.
Dude when skyjay made the collision run last year I literally said “wait till a year later when people actually know how to play against this character”.

I think most characters other than Ganon are viable. If you put the time into most characters you can see results. Many of the bottom tier characters have dedicated specialists that truly show the possibilities of the characters. If you believe in a character, you can make it work.

@@KingOblivJoker’s Arsene recovery is bad. Grapple hook is pretty solid. Min Min’s recovery is bad because her air speed and drift are horrible, so she’s a sitting duck offstage
As far as "bad" recoveries go that lower end is for Dr. Mario, Mac, and Ganon, etc where they don't have a good trade off for their bad recoveries.
Aegis and Min Min dominate the neutral and even then their recovery options are better

It seems like Isabelle has a bit better frame data on her ground moves, but villager has more consistent ways of applying pressure and killing. But I don’t actually know the frame data lol

I think one of the most underrated aspects of Isabelle is neutral air. Despite having about the same frame data as Villager’s, it kills earlier and has a surprisingly large disjoint, which makes it significantly easier to combo with, whether that be into itself or other moves. Even though villager can do two neutral airs out of a short hop as well, Isabelle’s version is simply better.

I find your take interesting that puffs frame 4 airdodge is her biggest flaw, I think it’s valid though because landing with her is such a pain. Also find it funny that you say other characters are annoying to play against, but play pikachu 😅
Rosa might be a bit low but other than than i really like this list.

I think duck hunt wins against ryu and ken, which are both somewhat meta. I do think he goes even with kazuya
I main link, i think link players need to understand that fair loop across the map is unrealistic, so do 1, still good dmg and you finish with up b. Also, more optimization of bomb dair or simple nuetral confirm is needed (like insted of boomerang fair you can do boomerang bair up b, stuff like that)
It still doesn't remove his glaring weaknesses that make him a mid tier
@@SonamSlash He ain’t mid tier. His move set allows him to adapt to pretty much every match up with a few exceptions like aegis.
@sirtoxic5147 very much a mid tier, having an adapting moveset in this game isn't valued nearly as much as a single aspect overtuned instead. Link specks into too many things and none of them are good enough to make a great difference meanwhile other characters speck into fewer things and can compensate their weaknesses by being overbearing in what their strengths are. Link is all around and has nothing of that sort that would realistically work.
@@SonamSlash NAIR is actually broken. It straight up beats majority of moves and is a -1 combo tool that also kills. His ledge trapping is literally god-like when you use his NAIR in combination with his BOMB ledge trapping, ledge trump UP-B, and very large and powerful sword moves. His edge guarding is also some of the best in the game because of just how many ways he has to edgegaurd. He can use bomb, up b, Nair, boomerang and arrow while staying on stage. His UP B, while not extremely fast is extremely large and powerful making you have to respect it, and if he has bomb in hand there are several options he can do with it OOS. His sword moves are great for punishing approaching opponents when you’re walking away, and can straight up outrange swordsman as well. While Link doesn’t traditionally have a burst option, with bomb, he does. While it’s not extremely powerful by itself, it puts you in a position where you have to choose an option or Link will be in advantage. If you jump throw it, you can follow directly behind it and get immediately shield pressure. He also has some of the best disadvantage in the game in combination with bomb, reverse b/wavebounce, super fast fall, down air fast fall or slow fall. Link is actually a very complex character that can just be played in a simple way, but requires you to play differently in many MUs.

Toon Link is the best Link as he's considered like top 20 in Japan, and all their mid players beat our best players; it recently happened an amazing Toon Link over there beat Spargo or someone. The results dont lie. Toon Link actually has better dash speed, air speed, faster/longer range tilts than young link. Higher jumps to confirm u tilt into u air. Their fair is the same speed (frame 14) but toon Link kills sooner. And the slower moving projectiles compared with his better air speed help him control more space.
Young link does have a faster up air and better fall speed though, and ofc fire arrows are busted and one of most free spammable projectiles in the game

Chrom being so low despite Aegis being top tier doesn't make sense when his only flaw is a bad recovery
Combination of worse results and Chrom’s disadvantage being worse in general, since Aegis gets multiple airdodges.
Chrom's recovery is significantly worse than aegis. Pyra rises pretty quick and i believe snaps ledge. Mythra has a lot of mixup options as well as a horizontal recovery option. Chrom on the other hand has a very predictable recovery vector, doesn't snap the ledge on the way up, takes about 30+ frames to begin rising, about 20 frames to begin descending while above the ledge, and no protective hitboxes while rising. Most characters have very consistent and safe means to deal with it. Chrom also suffers from having one of the worst air acceleration in the game while being a fast faller. This means he is extremely vulnerable without a double jump especially since his recovery gives next to no horizontal recovery. While aegis has a weak recovery, chrom's is straight up crippling.

@@IIIISai For a top tier player cloud recovery isn't that bad because of limit. Sure, he doesn't always have it, but with careful planning and skilful play you usually will have it when you need it. It's why sparg0 prefers cloud over aegis.

There hasnt been any in quite some time now. Ken and Tweek stopped playing seph and stick with their mains, M4E hasnt been attending, who knows whatever happened to Ned. As for Japanese sephs, they are all pocket/secondary seph that have some runs once in a while (Rizeasu, Gorioka)

@@imESAM if you're going based on results, then your opinion shouldn't matter since you haven't done anything major or been in a top 8 recently to show any current competence for the current meta. Sephiroth has a large amount of potential untapped, an example of this would be Sriks winning over Glutonny in a large tourney setting, he may of lost the second encounter but he dam well provided a structure and a foundation of potential and potential to said character. You've been proven wrong so many times that we now have evidence of all your tierlist and if you compare them you would have many versions of inconsistent wrong intakes that show lack of understanding to any rational individual. You even admitted it with banjo and kazooie, for 4 years players who understood told you the character had potential and you vehemently continued to claim otherwise. You now say " I may have underrated the character" . How many other characters are you underrated based on pure bias. It's either you're bias because of pika glasses or your purposely deceitful or your ignorant. Actions of a person matter so your past gives a hint into what your character is and what thoughts you may give to others. Been 5 years and it's your opinions have been very lackluster at best.

Hearing top players claim sephiroth is bad is quite shocking considering how wrong they are consistently. So many claims here with little knowledge of these characters.
Tweek, probably the best or 2nd best Sephiroth in the world thinks that the character sucks. Dont say that people speak with little knowledge when literally the best rep of a character, who probably is WAYY better than you thinks he is terrible
There's a lot of high/top level Seth's, or at least there were, and they pretty much all think he's a lower high tier at best.
