Everyone can be bold and edit an existing article or create a new one, and volunteers do not need to have any formal training... It is a fact that Efendize Elçim Hatun has NO importance or value in the Ottoman history! Everything about this Hatun is a speculation/ “a new conspiracy “ ! Some people indeed desired to implement in History a Turkish wife for Orhan, however , after all the new research done and revised sources the theory cannot be confirmed! Everything has started with a recent study on a document dated 1324. The 1324 Endowment Deed for a Dervish Monastery built by the sultan Orhan cited family members;So the hierarchical order of the signatories suggests that two of the four female witnesses-Melek and Efendi-“were wives of Orhan “ and the other two “Fatma Khatun “and “Mai Khatun “ were Orhan's sisters ( Only the sisters are confirmed in other sources too). Firstly, the theory of these two “supposed turkish wives“ of Orhan Gazi cannot be historical confirmed /proven because there is NO wife next to their names, speculation purely due to hierarchical order of the signatories. Secondly, this document is the only source that has come to light where Melek is mentioned. ONLY IN TWO SOURCES is mentioned Efendi /Efendize but not listed as WIFE! In the endowment deed published by Uzunçarşılı ("Gazi Orhan Bey Vakfiyesi"), Efendi /Efendize is listed as the daughter of Akbaşlu. This was the name, or probably lakab (nickname), of Orhan's uncle, and it is on the basis that Uzunçarşılı concludes that Efendi was Orhan's cousin; Uzunçarşılı is not aware that Efendi/Eftendize was Orhan's wife.(NO MENTIONS) !!! The second source Efendize is mentioned- “Kepecioğlu “ -states, perhaps on the basis of the land record he sites, that Eftendize was the daughter of Akbaşlu Mahmud Alp, but does not posit any relation between Orhan and his wife ( DOES NOT STATE IT IS HIS WIFE) !
It is known that Efendize is the daughter of Osman’s brother, if she was indeed Orhan’s wife WHERE IS SHE BURIED? Why NO mention AT ALL about her in Osmanoğlu ??? WHY IS SHE LISTED AS COUSIN INSTEAD OF WIFE??? No mentions at all in any other documents about Süleyman Pasha!
Nilüfer Hatun is the only one of Orhan's wives to appear consistently in the histories of the late fifteenth century. According to the story of Nilüfer's origins recounted in these histories, her marriage to Orhan took place when they were both young! FIRST MENTION OF ORHAN WAS in Osmanoğlu when Osman was just beginning to accrue power locally. This document stated that Orhan gave to Holofira for the first time the name of #NilüferHatun 🪷! The document describes his first marriage with the daughter of the Tekfur of Yar-hisar in 1299 as follows: “Sultan Murad's mother, Gehid Süleyman Pasha. Etc”” / TEVÅRIH-i ÅL-i OSMAN - The conquest of Bilecik, Yar-hisar and İnegöl was expressed in Kemal Paga zåde's work, along with the wedding story, as described by Agik Paga zåde. In Kemal Paga zâde's work the conquest of Bilecik,Yar-hisar and İnegöl is expressed along with the first wedding story in 698 (1298-1299) p. 120-129, Mineccimbaşı, I, p. 66-68, #Orhan whose name is constantly written is, #Holofira👑 NilüferHatun🪷, Sultan Murad's Süleyman mother! It is written as follows: “ Because Osman's son Orhan stated that his name was written for the first time in history when he married Holofira, and describes his first marriage with the daughter of the Tekfur of Yar-hisar in 1299 as follows: Sultan Murad's mother, Nilüfer Hatun and Gehid Süleyman Pasha. She had a bridge built over a river near Bursa. The name of this river is still Nilüfer. . There are many more blessings. When she died was buried in Bursa with Orhan Gazi.”
Âşikpaşazâde- Ibn Battuta also mentions “Nilufa Hatun” in his book. He also said that he met Nilüfar Hatun personally. He wrote about Nilufar Hatoon. She was Orhan Gazi’s special love Hatoon. Ibn Battuta also identifies her as the Ottoman mother. The same name refers to Iznik’s kitchen, where he prepared food for people experiencing poverty.
When Orhan Gazi (the son of Osman, the founder of the Osmalı İmparatorluğu [Ottoman Empire]) was off on campaign Nilüfer acted as his regent, the only woman in Ottoman history who was ever given such power. During Murat's reign she was recognized as Valide Hatun, or Queen Mother, the first in Ottoman history to hold this title.
In the 📕 History of Turkey II p. 43 by Prof.Dr. Halil Inalcıkm “Orhan HAD ONLY 3 BYZANTINE WIVES WHICH WERE WRITTEN EVERYWHERE IN HISTORY” 1st #NilüferHatun🪷 in 1299 2nd Byzantine Princess Assporca in 1320 or 1321/1322 after 21-22 YEARS after his marriage to #Nilüfer /Holofira 3rd Princess Theodora in 1346

“Nilüfer Hatun, the beloved wife of Orhan Gazi, the conqueror of Bursa, is the symbol of love. Nilüfer Hatun is the daughter of Yarhisar Tekfuru and after marrying Orhan Gazi, she became a Muslim and took the name Nilüfer. There is a symbolic link between Nilüfer Hatun's conversion to Islam by marrying Orhan Gazi, even though she was the daughter of a tekfur, and the Islamization of Bursa, which passed from the Eastern Roman Empire to the Ottoman Empire. After the capture of Bursa, importance was given to its development and many buildings were built rapidly. Most of these structures were built by Nilüfer Hatun. Many buildings were named after this main sultan who left his mark on the city. The poet says in "Five Cities": "One of the most important figures of Bursa is Nilüfer Hatun. It is Nilüfer Hatun who brings the smile of love to the harsh face of the founding period of the Ottoman Empire." Her love for her husband or Murat I's child is inextricably written in the history of Bursa and Iznik." The stream passing through the city also bears her name. Although the term "white lotus" reminds us of the white foam of this stream, she has a very good knowledge of mythology. It is also possible that Tanpınar started from the importance of the "white lotus" in many mythologies. The white lotus represents strength and power in Egyptian mythology, the secret of long life in Greek mythology, and symbolizes creation and birth in Indian mythology.”

I think everyone loves Holofira Hatun. The actress is incredibly beautiful + intelligent + a good person. Everyone was dissapointed when Orhan was forced to marry Elcim Hatun for political purpose. Is this even historically accurate? Supposedly, Orhan had 3 or wives. There is a confusion about 2 of his wives - both named Holofira?

The question is that are Kosam Sultan and HoloFera were same lady or different. If different then waht about the story of Kosam sultan in which it was shown that Sultan Murad was the son of Kosam Sultan who according to you was the son of HoloFera?

Kosem Sultan was wife of Sultan Ahmed that was later in history, here this Sultan murad is the one who is at the beginning of ottoman empires, there were many sultans with same name, you have mixed them up
in the drama serial Magnificent Century: Kosem........Sultan Murad is shown the son of Kosem Sultan and Sultan Ahmad, this Sultan Murad was Sultan Murad the Fourth, and the one who is the son of Holofira was Sultan Murad the First....both of them were great and capable Sultans of their own time.
