Hi Favor and Rob! Favor you are so correct about slippery surfaces on a ship. Slipped back in 2017 on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Back has never been the same 😂.
Also another tip: if you are wearing some shoes that you have been wearing for some time, check the traction on them before a cruise as it wears down over time and you don’t want to slip.

Funny story about shoes/boots on a cruise - my last cruise was an Alaskan cruise & I decided to wear my waterproof boots on travel day on the airplane (because it was easier to wear them, then to pack them). They were my comfy easy on/easy off boots - but they had been in my storage room in Florida for about a year & I hadn’t worn them - all was ok when I put them on, but as the day went on & I was on the first plane, the sole started to separate from the boot on one shoe & then the other - and all of my other shoes were in my checked luggage - so I had to change planes in Toronto with the soles flopping & sat in the fancy business section of the plane with the shoes falling apart. I couldn’t wait to get to Vancouver to get my luggage so I could change my shoes - and then I had to buy another pair of waterproof boots on the cruise ship (very expensive boots) - but it was a necessity for an Alaskan cruise! Stranger too - the same thing happened to 2 of my friends here in Florida- both had shoes that they kept in the closet & only used for cruising & both had their shoes fall apart & they needed to buy new shoes while cruising!
So now, when I travel - I make sure to have several pairs of shoes with me- might make the suitcase heavier, but much better than having to find shoes/boots while cruising!
Oh No! I wonder why that happened… maybe the humidity in Florida was just too much for cold weather boots! Yikes! I always bring more shoes than I need. I love them yes but mostly because I never know what mood I am going to be in for which pair of shoes! Or maybe I just love shoes! Haha! I will be checking my boots for sure before Greenland! The footwear was all very nice - looks comfy & stable (although I prefer flats - no heels - but I definitely liked the styles of the shoes - especially the sneakers)!
I do have a pair of patent leather sandals with rhinestones for formal nights - fully secured with straps (no flip flops for me - I’ve seen so many people take a flop on the lido deck because they were trying to hurry along wearing flip flops)!

I’m a flip flop and sneaker girl on all our cruises and with everyday life. I’ve never had a problem slipping and sliding around the ship, but I agree with wearing shoes that you’re comfortable wearing, cuz you will do a lot of walking. ❤️Cruising!

Hi - I love your Vlogs!! This one is great! I’m going on a cruise (Carnival Vista .. which is how I found you .. I watched your videos on the same trip!) - I leave in a month and I was struggling with shoes. I didn’t even know about Dream Pairs! I went to the site and I’m buying 5 pairs!! I have one question about the mules … you said you sized up. The listing says the shoes run big and you should buy 1/2 size smaller. I normally wear 8 1/2 .. so I’m torn on what to do. Do you regret sizing up? And do you think they will stretch? I love the shoes! Thanks!
Hi my friend!! Thank you for watching and for shopping with Dream Paris! So mules are so tricky. I tend to always size up so my heel doesn't sit on the edge. I did find these had plenty of room but I still sized up. I am one who does not like a snug shoe. If you have feet more on the wide side then go ahead and size up a half size. If you have a regular width I would stay in your size because I do find these run slightly large. I don't find these to slip off my feet but I think my regular size would have been fine in these... I am an 8.5 as well. Did that help you? I hope so... Have SO MUCH FUN on Vista!!! Hugs!

Im planning on take water shoes to wear in ship and islands because there are some that look likf sneakers. Dress shoes neurtal or earhtine so they go with anything. That wat im only taking two -three pairs of shoes.
