You speak icelandic?
you just won my internet encounters for today, and it's not even 7am yet. a million thumbs up!!!
I LAUGHED WAY TOO HARD AT THIS THEN I SHOULD HAVE 😂😂😂
"Last time I looked in the mirror I was defiantly black" omg 😂😭😭
lol

Defiantly

DEFIANTLY
That girl is so crazy beautiful doe!!! 😍😍
riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight 😂😂😂
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m starting to believe that only Americans identify themselves by race. It seems like other nationalities identify themselves based on country of origin
Yup
Yes
True! Most non Americans are confused about how Americans do the whole race thing.
That Hippie Vegan Chick I’m Canadian because I was born in Canada, my background is finland but I’m not gonna say I’m Finnish because I’m Canadian lmao it’s so weird
I've lived in two countries other than the US (Mexico and the Philippines) and I'd have to say you're wrong. Race, or ethnicity, or religious group, or however people are sorted in a particular place is always important. and there are just as much racism in other multi-ethnic countries as there is here.
Meanwhile in South America most just assume everyone is mixed.
in Brazil people like to act like they ignore race whilst also being racist
Yes, but sadly being mixed doesn't automatically make white supremacist ideologies and institutions disappear. Nor the white supremacist general mindsets in our very large and traumatised region.
Like, about 94% of the entire South American Continent.😆☺️!
And approximately 95% of Central America and the entirety of the Caribbean !!
Actually I would not agree and I'm south American and african and I can say not all south Americans are mixed because many are fully indiginous roots so unless there lineage is mixed with white spanish from when they tried to take over south america or if a white latino was to sleep with an afro latina which is people from Africa who were taken to south america and the Caribbean then south Americans would be mixed.
I’m White With Baby Brothers That Are Half Guatemalan, and My Stepdad Will Sometimes Be Racist Towards Black People Which Actually Makes Me Mad&It Also Makes My Mom Mad Too!!!!!!!🤦🏻♂️😔
The girl who's family are all white and she's black… I don't know what her name is but she's really pretty
Ikr
+Aria Glass agreed!
all women are pretty
+Kat Sam stop lol
Kat Sam tru
I didn't think this would be a video about mixed race or adopted kids. I thought it would be kids who are genetically 100% related to their parents but don't look like them. LOL. Cuz that's my case.
Kyla Grace samee lol
Kyla Grace same
Mine to, I have get ask if am adopted 🤦♀️
Kyla Grace That was my initial thought &.what made me click on the video.
Interesting
Why does race....matter so much...
Yeah, seem to me it only becomes a thing in other ppls eyes. I remember similar to that girl that said it didn't occur to her until preschool.
I am pure
Bcs the legacy of the colonial era affects everyone. (Besides some countries are still colonies). Talk about Stockholm Syndrome... The brainwashing is deep.
Ask that to hitler
@Missy D. in other words, purity equates qith perfection and humans carbon imperfect life form because humans ages with the years and then return to the dust they came from.
I thought the title said "When You Don't Like Your Parents" 🤦🏾♀️😂😂
Me too😅😂
when you are not like your parents
Same 😂
Wait I thought that's what it said until I read this comment loll
Why is race such a big thing in America?
+imaprouduclabruin please don't be rude i never see news saying stuff like "WHITE POLICE OFFICER SHOT AN BLACK MAN" in fact something like that is really really rare or even non existent and saying many are European people are close-minded is the same as saying many Americans are racist or homophobic and that isn't true we are in a world where we try to pull each other down to see who's weaker or worse how about we don't down play other continents or countries
Is that really how Affirmative Action works? Waiting for affirmation.
Donald Trump
Because our country was pretty much founded on racism. Look into our history and it involves the mistreatment or whites taking advantage of blacks, Asians, etc. sad really.
I'm from Holland. I did a racism test once and my score was so 'not racist' that the test didn't know what to do lol
2:37 I can see why Michelle is soooo pretty. Her mom is gorgeous too...
omg ikr amazing genes
Not_A_Gamer yeah... i was going to say her dad skin color and her mom face but she's lighter than her dad....
Not_A_Gamer yeah, anyways she's really pretty..
+Not_A_Gamer isnt there about..4? alleles that determine a person's skin color?
+Not_A_Gamer nah obviously not as simple as that because of having the potential for multiple genetic interactions and two alleles may not have just simple recessive/dominance characteristics, but potentially codominance which all contributes to why you get a 'mixing' of skin tones from parents
2:39 MICHELLE'S FAMILY LOOKS SO BOMB & ELEGANT
Ikr. They are the kinda family you see in ads and on tv.
When ppl see my dad they say I look like him, when ppl see my mom they say I look like her.....who TF do I look like???
...Both of them?
Rina Berman LOL
you look like yourslf XD
jheevanesh Gunalan you a mix between both
jheevanesh Gunalan OMG CAN RELATE
The two half indian girls actually do look like their moms. They have similar features. Its just the skin tone that is different.
Yeah, in a way. Plus they are really pretty, one looks more white though
Ananya Gupta My children are half Indian and White. They have my facial features, but have a lighter tone of there Dad’s skin color. We focus on
love, family connections with both families.
She looks 100% Middle Eastern. There's nothing white about her!
@Dharma Rajput Yes but still they're shades of brown. Whites have completely different skintone!!! I am from gujarat. And more than half of my relatives are as fair as those north Indians. Some even more. Though am dusky, near to Michelle!
@@leilo330 South asian!
My parents are both wolves, so I get this kind of sh*t all the time!

Arielle Victoria Woolf i see what you did Wolf girl
Take away from this: a lot of people feel entitled to ask others really rude and weird questions for no apparent reason.
Spot on
America the Great🤷🏾♀️
Or make people feel bad for being different or adopted
They always will but it's not coming from overtly racist place. It's just naivee curiosity of someone raised in a homegeous environment and is not used to difference. They may hold racist views but that question is not necessarily racist unless they treat you different after the fact.
Wa was boo hoo grow some thicker skin, most of these people are embellishing anyways because that's what people do nowadays.
2:39 ok can we just talk about how beautiful that family is ??
lolwotm8 Umm.. why are you offended though.. I mean.. it's not your life ffs.. It's always disgusting to see people like you still exists..
lolwotm8 So if you think calling someone dirty bc of their color is acceptable and if this is your "opinion".. then I'm sorry for you.. People with insecurities talk like this just to hide their jealousy.. Gud luck...
Her mum is soo beautiful
Ohhh how cute 😍💜💜
lolwotm8 why are they dirty?
it made me sad that the woman's brother actually had to convince his friend that their dad was half black to understand that she's family
beth 2.0 ikkrr😩😩
True.

PREACH ON GRAPHIC DESIGN GUY!
Killer Ninja Glad you agree :)
Krista Daniels I certainly will, thanks for the support :)
Graphic Design Guy I love you and your comments they make my day honestly
My birth parents were British but I was raised part of my childhood by a Ghanaian woman.
Woooow am a Ghanaian
And people say only whites adopt!😄
Wow nice
When BuzzFeed used to make decent content.
Ryan Cubing Was that Safia Nygaard in one of those clips who used to work for buzzfeed but has her own big youtube channel now?
yeah
Jenny Jerome I thought so too
Mishka Parashar it IS her! She made a video of her time at buzzfeed and she left because buzzfeed were dirty!
What do you mean, this isn't decent?
This random lady once told me and my mom a long story about how and where she adopted her children from, because once she saw that I had darker skin and my mom didn't, the lady just assumed that I was adopted even though it's just because my dad is black smh
I'm half mexican half white and I look more white but the only things that really happen to me is I'll get weird looks and kids at school won't believe me when I say I'm mexican
+Emma Eugene i think your mom had a reason when she went for a black guy and it was a big reason.
+mrigo100 omg stop

That half danish, half Indian girl actually looks more Indian than she thinks(face structure and even her color is normal to many Indians). We are not actually "brown", people have different complexions even in India!!
Abhishek Suman I don't agree with you. She doesn't look that much Indian, her face structure is different.
rahul sharma I have seen many with that facial structure in India. India is a country of around 1 billion. It may happen that you may not have yet met with a person of that facial structure and skin tone.
I know people with even fairer skin tone than her. Her facial structure looks more like Indian for sure, that I can say!
Abhishek Suman thank you. As an Indian, I have to agree with you. People just assume that Indians look "brown". Though essentially we are "brown" but we have such diverse skin tones n facial features in India.
***** can people stop playing ! oh that skin ain't that light", you know this isn't true. the vast majority of indians are darker complected and that's fine.
Karishma Singh Karishma, the vast majority of people cannot assume things they are not seeing ( when it pertains to looks). The best answer is , there is a vast variety of brown colors and that's ok. its a natural human palette. i can't understand why you want people to see you lighter than you are. Love that dark hue and keep it moving. its 2017. this is not the Raj
i'm pakistani and my Mom's a shia and my Dad's a sunni

What's interesting is that in school people ask me "where is your mom?" when she picks me up from school then I point to my mom and they're shocked that this lady is my mom because she has a darker skin tone than I do but if you don't focus on the color of our skin we look exactly alike and it sometimes gets on my nerves.
Say hi to your mom from me.
Yeah, my dad and I have more or less the same facial features. Yet people don't see the resemblance, they just see the skin tones. Some creeps even assume I'm a young woman dating a 67 year old yikes! and it's my frigging dad! They think I look more like my mum or my half sister (maybe just the nose?) bcs our complexions are closer.
People are beautifully stupid.
My mom is kool and my dad needed her aid.
My mom was a maid and my dad needed a minute
smh hahahhaa

You don’t have to be blood to be family. Love yourself, we are people of the universe and we come in all colors...
Amen...beauty in everyone...😍
2:30 "More like not feeling black, I feel like I don't fit in anywhere"
This broke my heart. Society loves to put these labels on people and how black people should act, or how white people should act, and then we grown up and don't fit that specific mold or criteria, and then we think we don't fit it, or we aren't like the others.
But I just wanna say, F*CK the standards and what people think we should be. We are all beautiful and, it doesn't matter if you have light skin, dark skin, blue eyes, brown eyes, we are all beautiful. And if we don't embrace our own beauty then what makes us individuals? ❤️
i understand man both my parents are chipotle but im taco bell
Oh, shut up. That's food restaurants.

Best comment to start the day 😂😂

Yeah. Hey you catch that latest episode of Ball Fondlers?

My mom is Indian+Dutch+African
My dad is 100% Indian
My dad left us so my mom raised us by herself but sometimes we get/got weird looks because we don't really look like her. My mom has short coarse brown hair and lighter brown skin while we have darker brown skin and long thick black hair.
Those people should mind their business
WHY WOULD THEY GET MAD AT YOU COS U DONT SPEAK SPANISH
PEOPLE ARE CRAZY
Keeping Up With Princess I live in Texas by the US/Mexico border, Spanish is a main language here and I still don’t speak it.... I’ve had many situations where people start talking to me in Spanish and I let them know that I don’t speak it... they full on yell at me in public or wherever we are about how I’m not a true Mexican. It’s ridiculous but a lot of LatinX believe that
Missy D. Wow I didn’t know it’s like that for you guys, personally I’d think it’s ok you guys are true Latina/Latinos
Lol why can’t ppl learn the language of their origin , it’s embarrassing to forget where you come from and not be able to communicate with your own ppl
It's common among Indian immigrants also...even if you have never been to India.
Karen Aguilar exactly, I don’t even understand how it happens because most of the time English is the parents second language. Ppl really be forgetting they come from a foreign land and think they’re English (I’m from the UK).
My mom is black and My dad is white and people are always saying how i don't look like my mom but i think I look so much like her but I'm just lighter.
that's actually a great way to explain it
beeing lighter than your mom, with the same facial features makes you look completely different for most people. It's the same for me, just that my mom is indian
Livana Koznesoff yea I feel the same way, I have a lot of features and my dad's skin color but I also do look a lot like my mom but no one thinks so (besides my mom too) because I'm white and she's brown
My mom is Turkish and my dad is Azerbaijani. My mom looks Middle Eastern but I have blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes like my dad.People think she's my stepmom
Sofiya Mamedova i could never understand what people call "look middleasterner" when we already know there isn't just one look. It sounds like you've been brainwashed like most people and you have a parent from there. Sophie t'as pretty sad.
I always get asked if my parents are my grandparents, because my mom had me when she was 45
I completely agree, their wisdom has been very valuable to me
aquadroplett I always had the opposite when I was out with my grandparents. My parents had me fairly young so when I was out with my grandpa they'd be like, what a fun dad you have haha. My grandpa was always super flattered though 😜
***** That was me exactly, but its not too weird its very courageous of your mother to have you when she is older. I think your parents can offer you valuable life advice and you should listen to what they have to say carefully and take it with you for the rest of your life. Its not weird its Wonderful! don't let anyone drag that down!
aquadroplett don't worry I'm here for you. I am 13 years old and my dad is 60 and my mum is 45. people make fun of me for it and it's sad for me too.
me too! my dad was 48 when I was born, and my mum was 34.
people at my school always ask "is that ur grandpa" etc and it's kind of tiring to told them one by one.
It's sad and crazy how obsessed the US and some people are about the false concept of "race" in the human species. And by the way, no one is "black" or "white", our skins are just varying shades of brown/beige/pink. As our eyes & hair are various shades. It's all a continuum, and all variations are possible.
My daughter is half Indian. ♥️
Is She Single ?
Michelle looks exactly like her mom! they have different skin tones, yes. but other than that, they look totally identical
Jemimah A IKR I was shocked my the skin tone and then just a few seconds later I was like whoa they look identical
Wait which one is Michelle?
This things make me sad... I am an European and we don't have that much of a racial problem as it looks that you have in the US...
very true it seems like no one cares in a good way i know i dont
Same, i'm french and i'm mixed and no one really ask or care about it. I feel like in America it's such a huge thing!
+Olga Km in the us people are all like I'm 1% spanish 37.5% asian 40% french etc... As if it really mattered.
this isnt a racial problem. this is a case of spoiled people who cant handle other peoples observations.
Most European history is different from U.S history as far as race.

You were picked up from Road/street brother, that's why momma loves me more...
This is how my sisters used to humiliate me😢
I went to my sisters school and met her teachers in biracial and my sister is white and the teacher asked who’s your friend I grabbed my sister and we both said my sister at the same time 💕

As a mixed-race child, I've never identified more with a video
I’m half Filipino 🇵🇭 and half Norwegian 🇳🇴 but I’m VERY tall.
Isabella Almvig, how tall?
Scandinavians are known to be tall
You got some good genes girl!
basically hailee steinfeld
im half indian and half irish, swedish and icelandic.
i have green eyes and dark hair
sad thing tho i've never interested in indian culture.
im more associated with irish
I'm Indian and my husband is Irish and our 2 year old looks 100% Irish and it's bittersweet to me. I can't help but to be relieved that he won't face the hardship that people of color experience , but I would love for him to embrace being indian too. Which is going to be different for a child with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Hmm. That is a bit of a hard place to find a balance. I have friends with blonde hair and blue eyes that are 1/4 indian, but to be 1/2 and look that way is truly unique. Hopefully they see it as special and not ‘less indian’ because of it.
I imagine, I would have felt the same way too but the minute wider society finds out he is not pure there are those who would treat him differently
XxMyLameUserNamexX hi 👋🏻 I’m light skin green eyes from my fathers side , but when I had a dna test I found from my mother side to be part Native American. I knew it because my grandpa and grandma look different with darker skin, cinnamon skin but I’ve learned to love everything about my mix . I love my mix . I don’t feel bad . I know what I am now and proud. All cultures have there amazing beauty.
XxMyLameUserNamexX even Irish prime minister have the exact same ancestry.
From my experience I loved how the dark cinnamon people in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 treated me . With love kindness they just knew I was a nephew, grandson they never judged me for my green eyes or being light skin . Those people showed kindness, wisdom, honor, showed me my roots from my mother side. Trust me your son will learn his Indian side.
This made me cry I'm adopted and my whole family is white
+Allie May well I was adopted at birth. And I absolutely love my family and they love me. My mother always said she felt as though she was missing something in her life & I was it
+Mikaya Moorleghen Mikaya, you are gorgeous. Trust your mom, she knows what she is saying :) And it's so nice of you to answer Allie's question. I sincerely hope you will never be uncomfortable and unhappy in your life, especially since you have a loving and caring family. And this is the real family, because love and support is all that counts. Wish you all the best!
+Alina Berova Aw thank you so much 💜
You'll do great in life and just by looking at your profile pic your simply incredibly gorgeous - go do you boo
+Mikaya Moorleghen You're so pretty!xx
Thank you guys SO much for this video! It is comforting to see other people going through what I have experienced my whole life. I am adopted - I am half hispanic, half european and my adoptive family is white. I only recently found out that I am hispanic so I never could answer people when they asked me "what are you?". I get asked from strangers, peers, family & friends. I feel like it is a struggle that is still being researched and learned about as america is becoming more "brown" with interracial relationships and families. I am curious to see how these conversations progress as society progresses as well!
I thought I was the only one who felt/went through all of these things because I don't know many people who are adopted, and the place I grew up was very very conservative so we don't talk about these things. Im just honestly so glad you guys made this video. I don't feel as alone now, so thank you!
Nobody is 100% of anything lol
THIS.
...And that's only what you know. We all have more diverse backgrounds than we know.
there are 100% black ppl....I've watched ppl on youtube do this ancestry dna thing & most of the black africans are 100% black because they haven't mixed with any other race.
+JustForYou♥ well it's false. No test on earth is 100 percent accurate.

Honestly, Michelle looks EXACTLY like her mother
She's basically the black version of her mom 😁
Exactly!!
My name is Michelle and I look Caucasian(I'm 100% Mexican believe me) I need to explain it all the time since my mom looks like me, but tanner

I love my ethnicity. Yes, I've been told I'm half terrorist and half drug addict, but I still love it.
Half Colombian half Arab and proud AF.
+gesman5000 I've gotten that too 😂😂
+gesman5000 yep I know. It's the same for me though mom's Colombian and dad's Jordanian.
That's terrible about being called those names. But it's great to have that attitude towards it

@@haileyoberlander2743 Haha. Yes, Indians kinda have European features with brown skin.
Why does everyone sound so sad? I think it's awesome that you have a mix!
Artime Silk It is actually sad. It is only fun when you see other people just like you and share their experience. Back in the days, mixed race wasn't cool.
See what is it like to be mixed and you will understand
Artime Silk because people want to know where they come from and it's essentially an identity issue. People want to be different yet belong to a group.
I'm mixed, my dad is from Pakistan and my mom is from Romania, I don't find it sad.
Adriana Cupsa well, good for you. But we all live in different place and each country or culture has different reactions. Some are very negative.
My dad is Costa Rican and my mom is Chinese and for most of my life I considered myself Asian/Chinese rather than Costa Rican. I didnt like the fact that I was only half Chinese but I've learned to embrace both of my cultures.
Central americans tend to have a fair amount of native america DNA which is actually Asian..so if you took a DNA ansetory test it would probbaly show over 50% Asian anyway.
Are you kidding me!! Costaricans are some of the most beautiful people ! Overall they look white..you are lucky to be mixed with them! Chinese on ther hand not so much!
lmao okay -Asian woman are to easy to date and marry.
My mom is also Chinese and my Dad is Filipino and i live in the Philippines so i will pretty much always side with the Philippines rather than China even though i go to a chinese school, practice some of their traditions and am more close to my mom's side of the family.

My Dad is basically Black and my Mom is Korean. My brother and I look Sāmoan, so when people see me and my Mom together they assume we're lesbians, so funny. Funny thing is, I actually wound up married to a Sāmoan man, so probably my kids will look like me....lol
charlene hughes-peseta why would they assume you were lesbians? just because 2 women walk together doesn't make them lesbian
need job, maybe when they hug or something more intimate than a lot of people would do with their friends. I know that mother daughter relationships can be very close, without beeing anywhere near to a sexual relationship of course.
LOL that happens to me with my mother as well, she just recently had a baby and whenever we go out everyone assumes we're lesbians and my little sister is our love child :'D
my mom is korean and dad is white
charlene hughes-peseta HEY MY NAME IS CHARLENE TOO
I can feel you guys. Having parents from two different place is so difficult.. and we are often mocked for looking different.
Saf is beautiful ♥️
Michelle always looked more "brown" to me but she surprisingly looks a lot like her white mom (1:36) wow
bee.syrup I'd say they have the same smile
bee.syrup she has her moms facial features, like she looks like a brown person but you can tell she’s mixed by her facial features
not really, indians are identical in bone structure to caucasians
My mom is White and my dad is Pakistani, I definitely identify with this feeling of not being enough for either side. I was never Pakistani enough and my cousins would always call me the white girl. and my mother's extended family was racist so family gatherings, rare as they were, were never fun. My parents tried their hardest to raise me with both cultures in mind but my dad has said he was worried that if I spoke Urdu and covered I would experience the same discrimination he faced and my mom wanted me to be connected to my Pakistani culture. Now at 18 I'm trying to find some kind of balance. It's so hard.
I wish you the best of luck
Cubone I am trying, learning cultural nuances doesn't just happen though
It's not even always a racial thing. My Dad is Bermudian and my Mom is Dutch and I don't feel truly like I'm "enough" of either culture to truly own either. To my Dutch family I'm the Bermudian cousin and to my Bermudian family I'm the Dutch cousin.
Apple Pingua haha
Thank you, for your clarification. I did feel a bit offended but I really appreciate your apology and I know misunderstandings happen, so don't worry about it.
My children are Italian and Arab and I always taught them to value both their cultures as well as their Canadian culture as they are growing up in Canada. Our ethnicities can only enrich us so there should be no issues but it's sad to hear that even now people go through these issues.
Michelle and her mom have the same face shape, eyes, and smile.
"So you're basically just white, right?"
Um??
That's not...??
What??
Ikr
This is why i want to adopt.
+ikcjjt 😂😂😂😂
+ikcjjt it's sad but true
these is why you shouldn't adopt
Jay More Why? It shows you dont have to be biological to be a family.
+mewtwomotherfuka because you mess up kids life this video is a perfect example
When you go shopping and in the queue and they always say ‘are you together or...’ 😢
Hurts every time
1:27 sadly relatable. for my cousins and Aunts, not my mom.
That Danish-Indian lady looks very pretty
Her channel is Safiya Nygaard
She is AWESOME
Danish People Are just pretty "hint im danish"
SAFFF
Karen Rishøj obviously her pretty looks are from her indian mom
I am not a racist ,but I don't like the race where you have to run XD
Omg😂😂😂
+Mascarapandass that isn't funny
+AJLA 07 i through it was funny
Everyone's getting offended by your joke, but it's actually funny. 😄😄
+D-sea Landair Um, race didn't take "one day" to discover...
I am half Dutch and half Filipino. I don't look anything like either parents. I am often mistaken as a Mexican, Spaniard, or Italian. And people constantly approach me speaking Spanish which I do not speak. Growing up, people used to ask my Filipino family if I was a friend of the family. 😂 I love my family and the way I look. I am so proud of who I am and where my family came from. I wouldn't change it for the world! 🌟
We've experienced this in our family it's so annoying and can be hurtful at times.
why is this video so dramatic? i look nothing like my mom, and people used to think she was my nanny, but i wasnt emotionally damaged? (my mom is mexican and my dad is irish)
Mia Andrea Long my mom's Japanese I live in Japan and my dad is Irish
Mia Andrea Long Because not everywhere is the same. Here in California - it's no big deal because of all the different people here, namely the large immigrant communities in my area of Hmong, Armenian, and Hispanics. But not every place is like that - to me the South was strange because I didn't see as many minorities or at least those who were mixed. It almost made me uncomfortable even though I'm white because of where I'm from where I have friends who are Hispanic, but also half Jewish. And the one girl whose father is Indian but here mother is white - in another video she said she was from Louisiana - she may have experienced some things that left her unsure of herself and heritage.
It's like I've seen some biracial people from the US post that they would come across blacks who didn't want to hang out with them because they seemed to view them as too white/not black enough, but they also encountered whites that felt they weren't white enough to hang out with them. You also have to remember that interracial marriage was still banned in some states up into the 1960s and 1970s - like you could straight up get arrested. Never mind South Africa up until the past couple decades...
Mexican is not a race.
Kimberly Haines j
Mia Andrea Long I look like my mom and my brother kinda looks like my dad and my sister doesn't look like any of my parents
it's so interesting to me to see this kind of videos about mixrace because here in brazil we dont have this thing AT ALL. obviously there is racism (an awful lot tbh) but everybody is somewhat mixed race. my mom comes from a spanish family and my dad comes from a mixture of black and native indians. it would sound ridiculous for me to say like: "im european and black and indian". nobody says "im italobrazilian/africanbrazilian/something like that". we're all brazilians. i guess it's because our country was built in miscegenation and that's a big part of who we are.
+UrbanMonsterHigh he just said everybody is mixed there, so I guess some people don't like the parents of the mixed people or their heritage? idk racism is stupid.
+UrbanMonsterHigh yes, exactly. no one cares about your heritage, no one treats you differently based on that. there's no such thing as "act white" "act asian" "act black". racism here is based on skin color only. black people are treated like garbage but no one really cares where you family came from
+UrbanMonsterHigh you are confusing race with etnicity
I'm pretty sure a lot of people from the southern states are a big exception of what you're saying, Gisele Bündchen is genetically 100% german.
hey Alyssa
i relate with this so much and even my family is a bit judgemental especially betwin my brother and i because i have the same skin tone has my dad and he has the same skin tone has my mom...tnks for not making me feel alone
i always come back to this video i love it
Both my parents are Kenyan but they're from different tribes so there has been some friction in the family because of that. I think because I have dual nationality so I'm Kenyan-British I was born and raised in UK so different tribes have never really mattered to me but where my parents are from it's just how people relate to each other. But I think at the end of the day we're all human.
My dad is Nigerian and my mom is Colombian. I don't look like either of my parents in particular.
It's weird when you split my family. I'm kinda floating on the verge of each. I don't speak Igbo and I don't speak Spanish. I'm the lightest on one side and the darkest on the other. I have the thinnest hair on one side and the thickest on the other. I love both sides of my family though... And at least when I'm looking through family albums it's easy to spot myself.
Tbh I bet your very beautiful I have friends who are from Nigeria and friends from Colombia and they are all gorgeous!
lauren felton Aww thank you.
+Thought So I'm Nigerian and Angolan. Mostly Nigerian. :)
Wysteria InBloom My dad never speaks Pidgin. Whenever I visit Nigeria I have a difficult time communicating with my relatives in the village.
Wysteria InBloom No, he speaks full blown English to us and Igbo to other Nigerians. I do know some greetings. I've asked him to teach me the language, but I guess he prefers using English with us since it's less tedious.
I bet graphic design guy looks like his parents
+Meredith Z I think I do :)
+Meredith Z who's the graphic design guy anyway? I've seen a lot of comments about him.
+Fran Fried Pretty much the ruler of the buzzfeed comments
We have the same name
My face lights up everytime anyone says that they have Indian ancestary.
I appreciate all people. It’s awesome to be unique. I have adopted relatives and it’s a beautiful thing!
Beauty in everyone...😍
THE GIRL WHO SAID DANISH (pls tell me her name)MADE ME FEEL LIKE: YES, WE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING NOW! DENMARK NEVER DOES ANYTHING... (sry, I should be asleep)
her name is Safiya
YAASHH TRUE DAT
jag kände också så (fast jag är från Sverige)
Ayyyyyyyyyy Phandom
So True!!
For the mixed children: Just be who you are as best as you can and stop trying to fit in either worlds because you can. Be both cause you are both.
For the adopted children: Well, I'm afraid, your case is way beyond my skills and competencies on the subject. You are on your own on this one, chirren. Good luck though!
I'm wondering where ppl grew up were race was imposed on them so strongly because I never encountered half this stuff, but I'm from California. My mix was never used against me, but I never fit in anyway nor did I really want too, I wanted to be me n didn't care what ppl thought of that. Don't let ppls I horns e hold you back from being who you want to be.
Adopted kids should still feel as though they are important and that their parents will love them unconditionally and that nurture is very strong and the child will have some great similarities to their parents such as mannerisms. Biology does not matter when it comes to raising a beautiful child
+David Arriaga try living in west Virginia
I'm mixed and adopted so yea
+Samantha Johnson Don't forget, Very attractive :)
from day one, they’ve told me I was adopted. Guatemala, but to this day at 14, I’m still insecure, so insecure, about my skin. I hate it, I hate adoption. Lately I’ve been feeling so much hatred towards my biological mother & myself. And I don’t know what to do.
People can be so freaking disrespectful. Why you worried about someone else race? Mind your own business.
Did anyone else read it as, "when you don't like your parents"
+Hope Anderson I did at first XD
i do too lol
+Hope Anderson I didn't realize it until you pointed it out. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
+erene olson hahah of course!❤️
+Hope Anderson Maybe I am wrong....It's because deep in their mind some people actually don't like their parents and so they read it that way....
I'm half Native American, but I have very very pale skin. When I try and explain my ethnicity to people and they say "Oh you're just white." it infuriates me. I explain that I am white and Native American and just because I look just white doesn't mean I'm going to cut out a whole other part of me.
I feel you! I have very fair skin, but tan very quick. Native American blood is strong in my family, but I'm also part Irish. Hints the light skin. I get asked if I am Hispanic, Italian, Asian...etc. But as soon (no joke) I say I am part Native American they look at me an scoff and say "I'm too white." And then they joke and ask if I'm Cherokee. Everybody expects Native Americans to look like Pocahontas, which yes quite a bit of us do but some of us rock whiter skin with dark dark hair like me & my family. Like you said, you aren't going to cut that part of you out of your life because your skin color! I'm tired of explaining what I am to people who just end up laughing or not believing me
Jessica Perdue same here I'm half Hawaiian quarter white, quarter Asian but since I have fair skin some people just say I'm white because of LOOKS not because of my actual true DNA. So stupid
Jessica Perdue I'm the same way
Jessica Perdue same I am Native American too Pomo native and when people see me dancing in my native culture way there like but ur white and Spanish from Spain and I have to repeat my self and over and over "i am half white to" P.S.i am problem more native than you but that dose not matter
The Real Emile same my family is probely more native than any one
I understand how hard it is to fit in, a certain group in which people don't actually like you because you look like less of a person or underestimate you by being who you are. But I realized that being who I am makes me become unique and beautiful. Don't you like to be different, when everyone else is the same.
Yes so so true what you said! And we don't see that in this video, to be honest most of them soud very ungrateful, who cares about physical appearances? The society cares but whe shouldn't, they should embrace their uniqueness couse its great
I think love is the most important thing in this world, and adoption is pure unconditional love to me, cause it feels like, no matter the colour of the skin or how different the DNA may be, these parents love their children
There're so many animals that “adopt" other species and they dont care, it shouldnt be important but the people in this video just want to fit in and be acepted by society
Michelle looks fully Indian.
Not really
@@mishkaparashar3170 Even we have such facial features and her skin is already brown making her complete indian. Lol
Ikr! The first time i saw her i thought she was Indian lol
of course she looks Indian. If she comes to India and doesn't know anything about India, people would stare at her.
