Hi lovely. I know it can seem scary but for a lot of women it’s quick and straightforward. They don’t give local anaesthesia for it.

It shouldn’t be. It can be uncomfortable for some but remember you are in control , you can ask to stop or pause if it’s too painful. You can ask to start with a smaller speculum, more lubrication and so on. ♥️
