    Be careful. I ran black diesel, cooked my engine. Egt temps will be your main concern. I melted the turbo hot side and my exhaust valves. Saving money can be expensive. If you running a old Mercedes OM605 steer clear. Go biodiesel or svo instead.

    why do u need to blend it? i been running straight oil for about 8 months now because it didnt make a diference if i blend it or not, engine runs the same

      It’s pretty cold where I am, and others I’ve spoken to here have told me the ratios they run but I feel this will change as the seasons get warmer again.

      @@thedailyadventuresofsam mine do run better in hot days but most days are 15/20°c all year round... cold mornings 5°c are a bit of a struggle with no glow plugs but still runs good with stright 5w30/10w40/15w40 blend

      That’s handy to know as well, lately we have been lucky to see temps over 15 and yeah I plan on talking to the places I source the oil in hopes they can keep drums of specific oil viscosities
