Yes the 3rd is the newest apartment out of all of them! They just finished remodeling. It’s on the 2nd floor so I’m not sure how great of light it will get. It was also around 3pm when I felt this so very little light in nyc at that hour unfortunately lol. And thank you!!
Third for sure was my favorite! All of the new/updated features were really nice.

The brand new apartment was awesome but no laundry in unit/building would be a hard no for me especially during the winter months
oh I definitely understand!! i wish my building had laundry but it unfortunately doesnt. Hoping the upcoming place i rent does!

I'm also looking to move now and yes its the best time to move because prices are lower in the Winter. Most people don't want to move in the Winter. I'm originally from CA. Living in Colorado.
Yes it’s def the best time! I can say from experience (since I moved here in February aka coldest month of the year) that it did suck but the prices are the cheapest so you’re better off in the long run if you put up with the cold now!! Did you decide if you’re going to officially move? And what areas are you looking at?

I liked the first apartment and I really liked the floors .However, the fire escape is not for in case you want to go outside! It's to be used as an emergency exit in case of fire. Hence the name fire escape! It's actually illegal in NYC to clutter it with items that could impede a fast and safe escape. That being said, I really enjoyed this video! Looking forward to more apartment videos! Thanks for sharing! Are you open to touring in Brooklyn? There are so many new buildings that have just gone up and should be renting early 2024 in the Prospect Letters Gardens (PLG) or Flatbush and East Flatbush areas! Check out this building called 123 PLG on Linden Blvd in Brooklyn. It's about 4yrs old and a luxury high rise.. I also prefer separate rooms for kitchens but the trend for the last 15 years has been open concept because, apparently, people "can cook and still talk with their guests. "

Omg anything midtown
Midtown east is not the same as the busy part of midtown (midtown west)!! I stay far far away from that area. I like the quietness of where I live and it happens to be around the area I looked. And as mentioned in the video, I’m still browsing and looking at many different areas, Harlem is too far uptown for me and for what I like to do. I will be looking more downtown based on my interests. Thanks for sharing though!
Have you even tried it ? Midtown is 15 minutes, parts of harlem are just 10 more minutes
@@NokiToni when you say try, what do you mean? I’ve been to Harlem a few times, and I know people who live there and they said it wasn’t their first choice and they find themselves taking Ubers daily to get places due to limited/slow transportation & safety issues at night. I’ve thought long & hard about it! I’m not just saying this out of no where
Am I the only one who heard the creepy talking when you looked/stepped in the bedroom closet in apartment #1??
Creepy talking? I was making notes of this on my phone out loud to keep in mind for the apartment if I chose to apply
I actually like #1 although #3 is more modern in lighting & appliances in kitchen area I don’t like it’s on the second floor too low & the view would depress me after a while & no laundry in building at all would totally be a no for me. Happy home hunting👍🏽
I like this breakdown you shared! Laundry in building is actually not common for most manhattan places. The amenity would cost a lot more money, I’m finding out this as I search! I agree- the view needs to be a good one/ have a lot of light or else I will be sad. Overall, which apartment did you like better: 1 or 3?
@@nk.medani thanks, I live in a prewar building in manhattan its at least 100 years old and it has a laundry room in the basement which includes 5 washers & 3 large dryers it’s convenient & and added plus I’ve been here over 20 + years and it’s always been here, I wish we had access to the roof with some added seating & plants that would be a really nice touch oh and it has an elevator 😌👍🏽

@@nk.medani I actually want to move into one of the newer luxuries but they’ve increased in rent for a two bedroom that I would need & id never get the space I have here which I really do need being the shopaholic that I am😌 but sometimes we need to weigh our options carefully.
@@126missday ya luxury apartments would be a dream! Definitely want to look out for those in the future but I know realistically the prices are too high. If you don’t mind me asking: What area do you live in now? I’m trying to learn any areas in Manhattan that may be more affordable

Hi!! Thanks for commenting. I apologize: I should have been more clear in my video about the areas I was looking/open to exploring to live. Based on my work/lifestyle, most things I do revolve around midtown & downtown manhattan. It’s nice to know that uptown is cheaper! But it’s just not feasible for me based on my day to day life. If you have any other neighborhood suggestions let me know!

I would like to see you do more videos about apartment hunting, especially in places like Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. I have a Masters degree from a Research 1 University but I'm unemployed and I don't have money. I have a City FEPHS voucher for $2300 (all utilities included) and I want to get a Studio or 1 bedroom. I don't know what your career or profession is but folks who look like us, with the deep shade of black have a real hard time in this city. I don't wear a wig or makeup so it's even harder to succeed. I would very much appreciate it if you considered some of these issues in your videos. Thanks a lot sista. I do look on Street Easy, Zillow, Rent Hop and some other places. But, I still haven’t found any realtor or property owner/manager who accepts my voucher. ( I cannot believe that you make a living just by creating content for CZcams!)
@@maroonrebel its creating content for brands directly! there are many ways that content creation works and i do it for many brands. i also have my own social media management business! its taken a few years but im doing something i love which is all that matters.
for the voucher: i am unfamiliar with how those work. i suggest you talking with the company who gives the vouchers to see if they can send you a direct deposit instead? so that you can prove to the landlords that you have the funds.
