The inspiration behind this video:
In House of the Dragon, Larys Strong chose his own sigil instead of using the traditional symbol of House Strong, and Larys representing himself with the firefly points to the character's larger role in Dance of the Dragons. Just like in Game of Thrones, the greatest and most powerful Westerosi houses in House of the Dragon use unique visual representations of their respective family histories and claims to nobility. These symbols are intended to inspire loyalty, radiate power, or intimidate others. For viewers at home, more is revealed about the characters who wear, venerate, destroy, or replace these historic sigils. Larys' choice to use a firefly rather than his family's original sigil speaks volumes about where the character is headed. This is especially true as Larys became the sole living member of House Strong after he orchestrated the deaths of his father Lyonel and his brother Harwin in House of the Dragon season 1, episode 6, "The Princess and the Queen."
House Strong's traditional coat of arms is a tripartite composed of winding vertical lines of blue, red, and green - laid over a white field. This represents the three forks or main branches of the Trident in the riverlands. It is a reminder that House Strong not only hails from the riverlands and are descended from the blood of the First Men, but also that their main seat is Harrenhal, which is both the largest and most cursed castle in the continent.
House of the Dragon’s first season will have ten episodes, each of which will run for roughly one hour. Season 1's tentative schedule is as follows:

Episode 7 was epic! I must admit that the ending surprised me, but I'm glad that he got his happy ending and she got the man she always wanted. Aemond taking Vhagar was pretty awesome, but he got what he deserved for stealing/taking him. I still love him though, he is a cool character. Felt bad for the daughter who wanted the dragon though.

You mean a series where...nothing of note happens for more than 50 years? Yeah...that's not happening. Sorry, but peace and prosperity may be good for real-life countries, but they're boring to put in a TV show. If we're getting other series on the Targaryens, we're going to get Aegon's Conquest, and/or The First Blackfyre Rebellion. But the next one in talks is the heavily rumored "Last Dragon" series, the GoT sequel with Jon Snow as protagonist. Dunna how I feel about that one...

@@VendettaV5 I dunna...that one would suffer a lot, I feel, from the thing I like to call "prequel syndrome", like the SW prequels and the Hobbit movies. But I guess it's more about the journey than the destination. Maybe it would work as a limited, one season mini-series, with 5 or 6 parts (episodes). But alas, I don't think HBO would be interested in something that has such a limited potential for printing money compared to a feature-length show, like House of the Dragon. It worked really well when BBC made an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in this format, back in '95. TV studios don't really do this anymore nowadays. It would also be really cool if they got the actors featured briefly in GoT as Lyana Stark, Rhaegar Targaryen, the Mad King Aerys II, ser Arthur Dayne and young Ned Stark to reprise these roles.

To be honest the only character that made this drama a bit interesting for me was Daemon (he is a flawed character like the rest but it's his type of chaotic character that makes you engaged) and now I think Aemond is going to be the interesting bad guy too.They're both the second brothers and the dangerous ones! I also like to see sunfire hope his cgi is better though!

@@romainchambard4399 Alicent had the potential to be more interesting and complex I personally don't like when they depict someone as pure evil or whitewash another one I like the gray ones better... but I unlike other audiences I just don't like adult alicent's actress's acting! She seems like she has always one facial expression and she doesn't have the impact as Lena Headey had as Cersei. Rhaenyra as the lead role is bland, Otto looked interesting at first he probably was supposed to have a place like tywin Lannister or littlefinger but he wasn't like that or wasn't shown like that and I wished they tried to give some character to aegon instead of just showing him as a perverted prince whose first scene is masterbating to his window to make sure the audience will hate him from the start! And his adult version is more creepy! I see that they're going to whitewash one party and demonize the other one so I didn't care for any character that much anymore Daemon still is more complex that others.

She fucked up last épisode but we can understand what she has been through while Cersei is just a sociopath Always taking the love of her children as an excuse to justify her evil act. And yet again the most interesting characters in the whole story end up in an incestuous relationship that feels weirdly compelling to the audience, (me included). Their wedding looked like some kind of blood ritual and differed significantly from the one with Laenor. For once it did look like a celebration (no one died... which is a great improvement by this show’s standards) and the focus was entirely on Rhaenyra and Daemon, the priest was somewhere in the background and I don’t even remember If we got a look at the audience. Besides it was completely unchristian-like: no white wedding gown, no elaborately braided hair and as I’ve already said you could barely see the priest, he seemed completely unimportant.

The Greens are so effing predictable. I narrowed their most interesting and badass characters to two; Clubfoot and Aemond. Otto? So predictable. The Lannisters? Definitely. Even the Baratheons are 'meh'. The Blacks have Corlys, Daemon, Rhaenys, Mysaria (who is basically Varys with a twist), the Arryns, Starks, most of the Riverlands and The Dragonseed Drama. Epic deaths and Fights also goes to the Blacks which is a great achievement in itself.
I think you will be disappointing in the end of the show.

The road there is fatal for many, where most of the big guys like aemond, aegon, rheanyra, daemon etc, they all die by the end. daemon is the only one who we dont know if he did die because his body was never found. the dance ultimately ends with one of Rheanyra & deamons children taking the iron throne, aegon III.

Rhaenyra never had an issue with Alicent’s children or Alicent but Alicent is only giving reasons for Rhaenyra to take issue with them.
