- This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm on the road at my buddy Tony's house and were installing replacement stainless steel liftgate hinges on his 2000 Jeep TJ hardtop. Follow along as we remove the OEM broken hinges, unbox and install the new ones, and see how they perform.

Thank you just did mine your video helped I did not have a second man to help and had to do it by myself was completed within a half hour. Thanks for Sharing hardest part was lining up that plastic cover for the back windshield wiper motor trying to realign the 3 screws but I got it done. Thanks again and God Bless you.

I had a horrible time getting the hinge off the wiper-motor side of my glass, watched your video and knew there should be a way to do it.
Turns out that there were two nuts, one for the motor-mount, pull the rubber spacer and one more holding tight to the glass. Got both off, hinge replaced and my window works properly again ...
BAM! It's done. Nice new replacements.

These hinges look like Kentrol hinges ..

I'm pretty sure that they are Kentrol hinges sold in Quadatec under OMIX-ADA.

WTF guys! You completely left the part about a 2nd nut within the rubber insert on the wiper side! I've been spraying WD and wiggling for hours think in just would slide out.....a very crucial step!!!

It sounds like you are addressing the driver’s side but it looks like the passenger side - side with wiper motor. Can you clarify?
I think I misspoke. Swapped out both hinges. I don't remember what I said as video was filmed several years ago.
What kind of hinges were those I have the same exact Jeep and need hinges desperately

What torque spec on the hinge bolt connecting to window?
Tight enough to snug it up, but no so tight the glass breaks! Honestly, no idea if there is an actual torque number.
