Brush Pen Comparison: Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, Kuretake and Wingsung

This is comparison between refillable brush pen that I have. First it Pentel pocket brush pen, which is very popular and common. Then I have bit more expensive Kuretake brush pen 13/40, which is my personal favorite. I also have some Wingsung 3009 or unbranded ones, that are really cheap, but they are more like fountain pens, with feed and piston filling mechanism.

I own 2 of the wing sung brush pens and they are great. No leaking unless you drop them or jostle them in a bag,then it's not really a leak but ink being forced through the bristles. Great flow (i use Noodler's black). I also have kuretake fudegokochi hard in gray. Also a good brush pen but i too prefer refillable brush pens.

If I may inquire, have you used the Kuretake #13? I want to buy the #40, but if the cheaper one is as good a bargain is always good. I do like the #40 however. Thank you and please keep your content coming 🙏 🙌 😊

Aww, thanks. I actually did quick testrun with kuretake #13 after recording this! It felt just bit stiffer, but it still made really nice fine lines like kuretake #40.
