- Welcome to a special Mar10 Day upload that was absolutely planned and definitely didn't only happen because I forgot to upload on Friday and everyone left me to have that epiphany on my own yesterday morning. I blame you, Marioverse.
Today, we're going after more theories than I have any right to cover. The second I saw "Top 15 Mario Theories" I was already ready to go. Let's see what we have in store. Prepare yourselves, because this one gets CRAZY.
EXTRA DISCLAIMER: I'm fully aware that the video I'm covering has since been taken down. The reason I'm still covering it, though, is because the theories described within this video still DO exist and I only make one or two points against Jorge himself within this whole debacle anyway. 99% of my points are directed at the originators of said theories as Jorge linked in his description, thus I feel it's still appropriate to use this video as a platform to address them. That is all.
On top of that, the Number 12 entry is also removed, this being the theory about Bowser being Peach's father. This was removed by the creator, but traces of it still exist. I'm still covering it because I had already edited together the entire video before it was removed and the balance of this two-parter would be killed if I removed it, but know that it has been removed and the creator no longer stands behind it. There. Bases covered.

At the risk of pulling an "um ackchually", I wanna point to a naasty hole in that first theory:
Mario doesn't die at the end if you've played the original arcade version of DK Jr.
Rather, he gets back up, attempts to chase the Kongs offscreen, gets the literal boot from DK Sr., & then scurries off.
Funny stuff, I chortled.
Funny thing, Jorge thinks the avatar theory was stupid anyway. I think that's why he butchers it

1. I believe in the arcade version, DK jr had a slightly different version of the ending with Mario alive
2. I died when he said Mario was an Avatar
The second sounds stupid at first glance yes. But the idea/theory was more of Mario *resembling* the avatar given the many elements he takes from his inventory and mechanics, rather then being *the literal* avatar.
More or less... Some of this looking back doesn't add up at all she added it perfectly hahaha. XD

Toph did coat herself in metal when she bended the metal of a fire nation ship,fell on to it and coated herself in it
2:29 May I also bring up how Mario gets up and gives chase in the arcade version (I assume because stronger hardware)
To me, the only character to even resemble Aang would have to be Mega Man; as his robot form is depicted as a preteen of sorts (even the Mega Man OVA had him sounding similar to Aang, even though the Mega Man OVA English dub was released a month prior to "Avatar: the Last Airbender". Mega Man can adapt to his enemies' abilities upon their defeat, with some of the Robot Masters being elemental based, which includes Water (Bubble Man's Lead Bubble, Toad Man's Rain Flush, Wave Man's Water Wave, Aqua Man's Water Balloon and Pump Man's Water Shield), Earth (Guts Man's Super Arm and Stone Man's Power Stones), Fire (Fire Man's Fire Storm, Heat Man's Atomic Fire, Flame Man's Flame Blast, Turbo Man's Burning Wheel, and Burner Man's Wave Burner), and Air (Air Man's Air Shooter and Wind Man's Wind Storm). Even then, it's a stretch. I find it to be funny how Mega Man can do a lot of abilities that are sometimes elemental based, but it doesn't mean he's the Avatar, because the logic of Elemental Bending is only applied to characters from Nick's Avatar series.
15: Actually, pretty sure the very next game Mario had after DK Jr. was Mario Bros.
14: Uh, yeah, not sure the rules of other worlds/IPs should apply to this world. Or to any other world with characters that can wield fire, water, earth, and wind powers (Vivi, Captain Planet, Neku, and probably others come to mind).
- Anyway, Mario does also use fire powers in a grand majority of sports titles and in Super Mario RPG.
- And of course, Mario isn't the only one who can use the bulk of these power-ups (Luigi, the two Toads, Toadette, Peach, Rosalina, etc.).
13: ...Yeah, I'd rather not waste energy on low-hanging fruits, either.
12: Okay, I did a double-take here. Pretty sure Bowser was also a baby at the same time as Peach. Partners in Time? Yoshi's Island DS? Also, wait, the theory suggests that Bowser wants to marry his supposed daughter??
11: Wow. If coins are souls, then that would make Zeekeeper turning the Dream Stone into a gigantic coin (and breaking it up into smaller coins) look even WEIRDER.
10: Really, if I were to liken NSMBW worlds to Norse worlds (for whatever reason), I'd make World Star the Asgard and World 7 the Vanaheim.

Also, I'm pretty sure Nickelodeon and Nintendo are NOT in the same universe.
Avatar isn't only applying to Last Airbender, Karma never appeared in The Last Airbender, but the initial avatar concept from Japanese Mythology, however the Theory is stupid
As an Avatar and Mario fan, that theory is hilariously bad.

to clarify, when i said "coat their entire body in metal", i should have said "coat their entire body in metal in the same way that mario does in his metal form", as mario's body looks to be made entirely of metal in that form instead of the plate-armor look toph has been seen doing. i definitely should have been clearer on that, that's my bad.

@@axxcellthehornyfuckinimp2835 Mario and Sonic are my specialties and I don't really know much heavy lore stuff outside of those two franchises, so, if it's not Mario or Sonic, I probably won't be able to cover it.

I personally want someone to "debunk" mattpat's video of if handsome jack is misunderstood, or if he's a hero; I own borderlands 2, and the pre sequel, I know of some of jacks crimes; but even that video had me questioning myself if jack was bad to the bone...

Why does no one read the entire Super Mario Bros Manual, that excerpt is only on the first page and no where else as well as the ending of the game showing Toads are no longer trapped in blocks, hell they have only been put in blocks after Super Mario Bros in NSMBW and yiu see that they aren't turned into blocks but trapped in them

um how does a power up not count and explain every reason why smash is far from canon in abilities
Power-ups don't count because the power is not inherent to Mario, it's inherent to the power-up he's using, which anyone can use, thus it cannot be considered bending as per AtLA's rules. Furthermore, Smash abilities aren't canon because Smash itself isn't canon. It was stated by one of the developers that Smash is canonically a child playing with toys, thusly nothing in Smash is canon to anything but itself.
4:44 Mario has used fire without power ups in smrpg as shown here: czcams.com/video/LAFY1i1j5v4/video.html also I think Mario can breath underwater as there are more Mario games were he can breath underwater (smb, smb: lost levels, smb3, smw, sml2, M&L: superstar saga, nsmb, spm, nsmbw, nsmb2, nsmbu, smm, smm2, and some other i games i forgot about) than games he cant (sm64, sms, sm64DS, smg, smg 2, smo)
SMB3 was a play. So using that as evidence for proving there are multiple kings with their own castles doesn't really work. Aside from the play giving the possibility of that being the case.
To be more specific, using SMB3 as evidence for anything is flimsy at best.

But...Gnoggin agrees that Cranky Kong being the original Donkey Kong is true. It's literally a canon fact.
@@RedQueenMiku2 he also made some interesting points like quote 'it is stated that crankys first starring game would be cranky kong country. and quote again ,what does mario vs donkey kong do to this whole mess! this is clearly modern donkey kong not the nude dk cenior not the shorted dk junior but the tie wearing shiny toothed dk the third. with cranky agind so rapidly and dk being full grown as well. how come mario and pauline didt age at all. in fact peach and luigi bots are here to and this is clearly taking place in the mushroom kingdom. not brooklyn like the og arcade game and pauline is here only as a vip guest and looking at the game manuel looks like donkey is up to his old tricks again yes his old tricks of taking pauline and throwing barrels those are definitly this donkey kong did yeah not this one which became this one but this one hmm.
