Ramayan has taken place millions of years ago, there is archeaological proofs for each location that has been mentioned in Ramayana text, Example Rameswaram, Kishkinda etc all these places exist today too.
Also, if we have believed 300 years of history of British's being in India, a rational person must believe that history does exist beyond millennium.

How many times the earth was repopulated after a destructive cycle, we can only estimate because even the stone are recycled… so only about 10% of the original formation of the first stone structures existed today… so the present homosapien has a very short time line. Please take a look at facts even from dna studies. Our progress to this present species is very gradual & long… very long. Will there be another destructive cycle we are going through? We don’t know because this cycle can be very gradual & then rapidly deteriorate or it can “repair” regenerate itself. The melting of ice from the poles are also very normal but only this time we really think we have indeed past beyond the point of no return but if we have a very long winter cycle & short summer consecutively for 3-5 years… we will recover so will the Earth repair itself, sure, it will. How about we humans? Every living creatures on earth will be affected thus only 50% or less will survive… my take on this is not to think too much about it & live a miserable live… just enjoy your present life & try to do your part without feeling guilty… trust… what we humans do at domestic level is nothing compared to organisations during at industrial scale… the drive to make profit has corrupted some individual to use the worst kind of fuel & gas… organic fuels are good fuel than synthetic ones…

Madurai was a prosperous city until the malik kafur invasion, alauddin khilji general malik kafur destroyed the meenakshi temple and looted elephants, horses, gold, sandalwood, pearls, gems etc of the temple after this he changed madurai name to ma'bar and the new urdu city ma'bar comes under delhi sultanate, after delhi sultanate get weakened under Mohammed bin tughlaq the sittrarasar of ma'bar (madurai) jalauddin ahsan khan declared independent, making a seperate dynasty called madurai sultanate or ma'bar sultanate, under this rule many people died. After that vijayanagar saved madurai from sultanates and rebuilt meenakshi temple, the tortures madurai people went through ma'bar sultanate is well recorded in a book called "madurai vijayam". There is vijayanagar for madurai temple reconstruction, unfortunately there is no one for ayodhya temple reconstruction.
