There may have been a few Yentas on the faculty too. I didn't rely on Rate My Professor too very much but it was useful in estimating my work load for any given semester before I registered. I would volunteer that if I enrolled in a class where the Professor was poorly rated and they turned out to be quite good I would enter an overly glowing review to try to balance things out. Frontier justice.....lol.
PS. For the most part Rutgers Business School has an excellent faculty. Many thanks to all of them.

besides there's not that much to do with a phd in pure maths, for example.
I mean I don’t wanna toot my own horn, but I’m p good at art and many ask if I sell my stuff. But I’m choosing to teach bc I don’t wanna be caught up in the business of selling. I hate business and making a “brand” for myself seems awful. There’s many people who choose to teach, who can do. But I mean I am still in college and haven’t started teaching so who knows 🤷♀️
For the fact that teaching is a sill in of itself. Second, in many professions the professor is way better paid than the professional.
