We tried to time lighter wind to make it slow but comfortable but what we got was big swell and light wind haha. Oh well hopefully we time it better next time. I just prefer if the swell is up we at least have the benefit of wind!
Nice! Im up on Lake Ontario Canada and did the Lake Ontario 300 last season solo on my c&c 32, the sleep was tough so I get it lol. Hoping to do the 600 Next solo. Subbed and looking forward to seeing your next vid!
That’s awesome! Solo sailing has always intrigued me and I want to do a lot more of it. The Gemini would be a good boat for it if we didn’t live on it full time and have so much extra weight from all our stuff. Maybe someday I’ll have a little racer/cruiser to play on solo. Thanks for the support!
@@theadventuresons1223 Ya I get the extra weight. I lived on my C&C for a few years. Still have it but liveaboard on a 55 custom Trawler with my wife on Lake Ontario. Love liveaboard! Still own the C&C but its our fun boat now. When we retire we plan on getting a 42-55 foot mono and globe trot. Love those Geminis! We have a few at our marina. Anyway keep up the adventure and looking forward to seeing more!
I should have been tracking that haha food is a bit more expensive in Mexico it seems but otherwise being on anchor is free every night. Depending on how much diesel fuel you use is the biggest expense next to groceries.
We went with the Seawater Pro 12v watermaker. It is affordable and makes a decent amount of water but it does use a lot of power so we have to use it wisely on solar. We loosely installed it underneath the starboard aft bed.
Try not to lose our minds haha. Actually the days tend to go by. If the sails are up sometimes it’s constant adjusting for the wind changes and speeds. But a lot of music, podcasts, hanging out together, watching for whales and just letting the mind drift.
Well done. I laughed out loud when Skylar said “No”.
She did the best out of all of us and still didn’t have a good time haha
Good job, captain, completing that challenging passage. Great that your child did well physically. Lovely dawn at 4:35. Sleep must have been awesome.

If you’ve shown it, I missed it. What kind of water maker do you have and where is it located?
I’ve just bought a 105mc.

how expensive is this?
All a lifestyle choice. For us it’s medium expense because we avoid marinas but we do get whatever food we want to eat
did you save the squid or what ?
Bro you know we held onto dried up stinky squid for like 3 days!
what do you do all day when you are all day sailing?
