    This is a beautiful trail. And fun. I went here the day after my dad passed and sat at the top and just reflected on life. It was peaceful and quiet. Great video!!

    Nice video. I visited this trail last weekend and enjoyed it. We did a very small portion of 93B feom the west side of it off of 93A. Beautiful trails.

    5:40 I was sketched out seeing y’all brake down such steep ass hills with all the leaves on the ground. Btw are y’all from Georgia? I live between Birmingham and Talladega so I was curious if y’all have been to the Talladega National Forest. And I’m always in west Georgia since it’s nearby but never had a chance to visit the Chattahoochee National Forest or that area up in north middle and northeast GA unfortunately. I have to go soon. What an awesome video

      Thank you for your comments. We are from Nashville. We will have to check out Talladega. Thanks for the tip.

      @@hardrockjeep right on it’s pretty small for National Forest standards but it’s still cool

    Y’all think a 2012 Silverado 6 inch lift on 35s would do fine? Bumps look pretty steep

    Is this trail still open or is it closed off??

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před 2 lety +3

      Call the Forest Service office there. They do close the trail when it is wet to keep people from tearing it up. I completely concur with that. It is a blast driving it with its steepness and not have to winch all day.

    What size tire was you running and did you have lockers?

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I was running 37" BFG KM2's on Hutchinson Rock Monsters aired down to probably 12-15 psi. I have front and rear lockers but on a trail like this put it in 4 low and keep steady momentum up and down the hills to keep your tires from losing traction. Sway Bar most surely was disconnected. I don't recall using my lockers.

    How long did it take you guys to drive the whole park?

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před 9 měsíci

      I don’t exactly recall but it was probably 2-3 hours. You might call the ranger district and ask them. You also want to know if it is open. They were closing it when wet.

    I heard you guys say a truck would hav a hard time. I have a gladiator, would that ride this trail easy.

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před rokem +1

      Well, a Gladiator is a Jeep so it should have no problem. There are no drop offs so departure angle is not an issue. The trail is narrow and most trucks are wider than our vehicles. I just would not go when it is real wet. The forest service tries to close it when it is wet. And that keeps it fun.

      @Hard Rock Jeep thanks gor the info. I am new to jeeping and just don't want to bite off more than i can chew. Thanks

  • @mauricerichardson9817

    I'm new to the Jeep community, in southeast Georgia. Anyone know an easy place to offroad?

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před rokem

      Check out TrailsOffRoad app. There are a bunch of easy trails in the north Georgia mountains. Flat lands like SE GA and FL don’t have a lot of documented Jeep trails but just start taking roads to places you have never taken a car and you will be surprised at how wandering in a Jeep can be a blast. And you know you can get thru most anything you come across. Enjoy your Jeep.

      We ran pretty much all of them. Here is a link to my gps breadcrumb trail.

      You may need Gaia GPS app to see this but I believe they have a free version for iPhones. (Everyone with a Jeep needs Gaia.)

      Looks like y'all ran all of them except for the actual Badge of Honor trail which is 93B. It's there. Y'all just missed it somehow. 93B is one of the toughest trails I've ever been on. I've been trail riding/rock crawling in Jeeps for over 20 years. If you ever go back to run 93B, make sure your winch is working. You will need it if you plan to complete 93B. There are 4 rock gardens and multiple rock steps from 2-5 feet high with no bypass around them. If the ground is the least bit wet, you might consider another day to try it.

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před 2 lety +1

      @@deepsouth4x488 That very well may be. We were looking for the rock garden but never found it. It was a blast anyway. You never know what to expect on the Badge of Honor trails. I have run 28 of them. Oddly, about the only way you know what trail to run in some places is to look at the badge itself, as it shows the trails. When I compare the trail layout on the badge with my GPS tracks, it looks like we ran the trails they suggested. Where was the portion you are talking about?

    • @deepsouth4x488
      @deepsouth4x488 Před 2 lety +2

      @@hardrockjeep the way we got to 93B is we entered Beasley Knob at the Blue Rock Entrance. Of the 2 trails at that entrance, take the one on the right. I think it's 93A. We were on 93A for about 8-10 minutes then we turned left onto 93B. You'll know you're on 93B once you get to the first rock garden. The rock gardens start small and get bigger and longer as you climb. It's very tough so be careful.
      Beasley Knob is my first Badge trail. We have a trip planned to Windrock in April to conquer the 3 there. We have been talking about a Stoney Lonesome trip sometime this year as well.

    • @hardrockjeep
      @hardrockjeep  Před 2 lety +2

      @@deepsouth4x488 Thanks. I have YT videos of both Windrock and Stony Lonesome. 16 is a hot mess if you slide in a gully down the center. Go when it is dry. 26 is easy, 51’s only challenge is going to the lookout working around trees. Short wheelbase would help. I have a PSC ram assist that works great. SL is fun. Enjoy.
